The scrum in rugby is the opposed movements of teams after a tackle occurs. Learn how to play rugby, including rules and skills, in this video rugby lesson.
I play rugby, hockey, football & lacrosse. All of them rock me pretty good but I have found little difference between them in overall thoughness rather the application of your skill and endurance is more crucial
@najib8930 It's not harder, it make require more skill than Rugby in certain areas, but you've got alot more breaks in football and there isn't as much physical contact as in rugby, so overall rugby is actually quite harder from that point of view.
Can someone help me? i need to know as homework 5 key coaching points for the correct body position in a scrum. but i cant find it anywhere so could someone tell me.
@Humane219 yeh you're right about that and I agree, honestly hockey is one sport I'd love to play just because of the challenge of skating and playing at the same time I support and give respect to those guys. Another thing I want to put out there a lot of my friends played lacrosse and when I asked if they wanted to play against me in Rugby they said hell no cuz they didn't want to get murdered so I don't know if it was cuz of how Rugby is played or just cuz I'm a big guy that palys Rugby haha
@IronMaiden3223 Do U Even Know What A Lineout Is, The Tall People (Locks) Are Lifted Up, As They Catch The Ball (While Being Lifted), Thats Why The Are Good In The Lineouts, I Play Rugby In Canada For High School And I'm A Lock, But Now Our 8 Man Got A Concussion And Lost Memory (So He Is Out Of The Season Till He Gets His Memory Back), So Now I'm The 8 Man (Witch Is The Guy In The Back Row Of The Scrum, And I Like It There Instead Of The Lock) And I'm Also The Team Capt.
I play prop, both sides, could make number 18 (playing tighthead) crumble within seconds. The arch in his back would cause him to fold in, chin on chest and will struggle to breathe, or will bail out to the floor making it dangerous for everyone. SORT YOUR COACHING OUT, Safety first.
@hackerman124 hey thanks for defending rugby players like me and my former teammates. It's true going out on the field with nothing on is very difficult but once you've done it your whole life it really doesn't matter. Haha also we rugby players are a lot tougher than other ppl who play other sports that have protective gear. But once again thanks for defending guys like us.
@ak47popper my coach was in the under 18's for England. prop. unfortunately they were versing a retarded team, and the onside prop was trying to be an offside prop. with that case ending up destroying he life dream by a simple snap to the neck. he's lucky he's still alive, let alone walking or moving in general!
That was not a scrum, that was just some overweight guys trying to be props and hookers. Plus they didnt even move the machine and their body position was just terrible and thats one way to brake your bones in a scrum.

What position is number 8 called, or is it just number 8?

Playing touch rugby is a good starting point: u get used to passing backwards while running forward and a bit of game reading.
“Obviously we don’t have them here today” I’m dead 😂😂
i play football and love it, im going to play rugby before football season though. mostly to get in cardio shape, but also i love to hit.
