Itazan capitalized on drops by Punk and was able to win. Absolutely no discredit to Itazan but he was able to capitalize on Punks drops (as if it needed restating, Itazan won from drops; that’s why he lost to SMUG later on. SMUG completed his whiffs/punishes.).
I can respect Punk trying to be a tactician in this battle. Itabashi simply out played him and it seems the match up may not have been in Punk's favor.

M S I think the damage is fine. If they had nerfed the range after season 3 he would probably still have oki off of mashed punches, run grab, and crouch short might still be cancellable.
