Since you mentioned, a tip I can give you about runes and glyphs is to not waste money on them for now and wait for a certain character (which I can't remember if you met already or not, so I'll err on the side of caution) that will show up and provide a better use of them to improve your capabilities, and since it'll be quite pricey, better to hoard money as much as possible and not spend with regular usage of runes and glyphs that will just be scrapped later. If you already know what character I'm talking about and think it'll really be a long, long while until you get around to investing on him and prefer to just get the small percentage bonuses from directly applying the upgrades to your weapons now, then it isn't a great loss -- you might just need to farm money later depending on how you do, spend, sell and collect things going forward (I also collect relics and a lot of other stuff and even the repeated ones are better used by dismantling to get rare materials for crafting instead of selling).
I think I might know what you're referring to, in which case I should get there in a few videos!! I'll hold off til then, thanks 😊
Gambling? What would Papa Vesemir say?
I like it when you talk a lot. I like it when you enter the game world thoroughly. What is unique about lest play is that we are dealing with two narratives at the same time: the game's narrative and yours. Together, they create a completely new experience for the viewer. The most important thing is that you enjoy the game and do what gives you pleasure.
Even if you have talked to a merchant before, they still have a few hundred gold each, so why not offload a bunch of pelts, etc. every time you get the chance? Will keep the carry weight down.
(Btw, don't forget to check if the bartenders have anything interesting for sale.)
The number of smuggler's caches in Skellige can seem daunting, but clearing them is worth the effort because:
1) the materials you can get will be very helpful if (when? 😉) you start building armor sets
2) the amount of loot you can sell (esp. after unlocking the master armorer at Crows Perch) will make lack of money a non-issue.
3) ? on the map are known to cause OCD 🙄
Didn't expect one from you today, but I'm happy for it! Thank you ❤🤙
I’m a gwent fiend. I eat, sleep, and breathe gwent. What’s a Witcher? What’s this about a war? Who is Ciri? My geralt exists only to play gwent
Really loving this play through. Been here since episode 1. And it's been a blast.
Skellige at night with a full moon. 👍
Fun fact- Roach card was added 2022 as a part of the next gen update. It was a kind of a meme in the olden days. Roach appeared in weirdest places when summoned
I think Dimeritium Bombs do two things against elementals, but I am not sure.
1. Elementals are magical constructs, so I presume the bomb may lower their armor value, so you can hit them harder.
2. Dimeritium stops magic, so an earth elemental can't do its magic (creating a stone wall, etc.) while under the effect. (Geralt can't cast signs either when he is in the dimeritium cloud - unless he has the general ability 'In Combat's Fire' activated.)
25:33 Endrega's usual habitat are dense and/or old forests, so them being present in those spots is pretty common actually.
Also, dimeritium is an element commonly used to surpress magic of all sorts. Witch Hunters usually carry shackles made out of dimeritium in order to supress the magic of any mage they capture and your dimeritium bomb works in a similar way, blocking any magical abilities of anyone (or thing) that is in it's range :)
And you missed the blacksmith in Larvik if you were in need of new Gwent opponents :D
hey nyx,
just wanted to say that I am so happy to have found your witcher playthrough, since I started with episode one a few days ago I barely watched anything else ^^ it's so charismatic and delightful, really a great experience. watching episode 15 now, hopefully I'll catch up soon. best of luck on the path and on the Gwent card table as well :)
I'm glad to have you along for the ride!! Good luck to you too, on the path to catching up 😁
when they pass during gwent WIN THE ROUND please. It's a free win!
Imma play Witcher rn and listen ❤️
Gwent is so fun!!💖💖🙌🙌👏👏👋👋✨✨😎😎
Don't forget to buy the gwent cards from the innkeepers! 😉
Btw, are you really playing on the highest difficulty level? Gwent has its own setting! 😇
The two '!' quests near the big tree in the beginning can be done whenever you want, so there wasn't a need to reload or find another way.
Oop good point, I'd forgotten about that 😬 and yes! Highest difficulty on both game and gwent!
Some quests have a habit of messing up if I run away so I didn't want to take risks 😅
Thumb up, tactical commentary, coffee and we're about to watch. [Wait a minute, is that a small toadstool, or did I just think it was? ]
Inkeeps also sell gwent cards so be sure to buy from them.
Question for the next exploration vid:Do you have any favourite fantasy books and would you recommend us some?
When you come across side quests you should activate them then you can do them later at any time, this saves having to go back to initiate the quest.
16:31 "I don't think there's anyone else I can play here."
There is a blacksmith at the E end of Larvik I don't think you have played yet. You can see the icon on the map. (But I have a sneaking suspicion he is actually the same guy as the blacksmith in Fayrlund. The look the same and they share sales inventory (I've checked) so I am not sure if you can win cards from both of them in the same game. Anyone know?)
I noticed while editing 🤦🏻♀️😂 good looking out, I'll make sure to go back soon 😊
Surely I am... not the only one who noticed the Thug at 1:04:54 blast off like Team Rocket? :D Well, judging by the "Whee" at very least it was seen in editing. On other topics: Can only speak for myself, but never mind a little less Witcher with my Gwent playthroughs! Some streamers avoid Gwent altogether which is disappointing. Also, it's fascinating you didn't grow up gaming. Many folks I know were the opposite - grew up gaming but forced to put it aside by life getting too crazy as adults. Even I'm down to finishing about 2 games a year... despite hundreds in my wishlist. Must find a way to change that soon!
Can someone please explain the Gwent card game 😂. Im bs'ing my way through them and losing repeatedly on easy mode . Any help for this dumb newbie 😂❤
I probably won't be able to explain Gwent well, but my first time properly playing Gwent is in the video called "Finally, Gwent (also, Deathmarch)"!! Its between part 34 and part 35 in the playlist, and might help!!
Hi everyone 🖤 this one was all over the place while filming so its not my favourite, but I hope you enjoy the rambling and Gwent nonetheless 😅
As always, a gentle reminder to refrain from backseating and be careful with spoilers!
