I think the reason why Jack gave Joke the ring is not because of the trust because like you said, Jack had no reason to trust joke but because Jack knew when the other bodyguards find him there, they are going to search him through and through and assume that he was stealing it and running away. Remember how Hope (That curly haired evil bodyguard) kind of tried to put that idea in Jack's head back when he was putting the ring on Joke?

The ring belonged to Jack's dad and was given to him before he passed . That is the only thing he has left from his parents, so it means a lot to him.
