10 years on...... The earlier published "Des Fischers Liebesglück" by Daniel , was from october 2011, so almost 10 years ago. It was this Lied that made me fall in love with this most attractive voice. I have listened to it regularly, like I revisit his Abendempfindung on youtube , as both feed me like dopamine and ease me when I need the comfort. Maybe we all have one or more voices "to lean against", when there is no living soul around. This newer version (with a different accompanist, superb by the way) not only shows that his voice is still excellent and just as youthfull as a decade ago, but also maybe slightly more lived-in, although the previous one hardly could be done better. In fact I love both and cherish them as valuable documents for later. Austria can be proud with such an excellent musical ambassador.

Why haven't I heard of him?! Einfach unvergesslich grossartig! Going to one of his concerts SOON!

I always wanted to hear Schubert sung in this way, with natural, honest and realistic voice (opposed to loud grand-operatic voice with lots of automatic vibratos). Though my German is quite elementally, I can hear every word. Thank you so much. I love the choice of this fortepiano, too, with the sound to remind us that piano is a stringed instrument. Lovely spaces between and over phrasings.

Many thanks! For listeners like you I always want to be a Schubert singer - next to such a miraculous fortepiano partner like Kris Bezuidenhout...

Klaus Florian Vogt II. Does he sing Parsifal and Lohengrin?

Wow, WHAT a comparison! 😅 Many thanks... Well, I am not at all a Wagnerian (except when singing Hugo Wolff or other Late-Romantic stuff; cf. th-cam.com/play/OLAK5uy_nbcCu9sCM_z1a1pul9QtGJ9Z72Mwy41HQ.html&si=byD-miZlby15zGm- and th-cam.com/video/eb5PXtk5R-Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Eg0gm7QnBlz_yYFo) - but maybe the day will come when my vocal abilities won't justify the absence of this music in my repertoire any longer.
