I’m on an antidepressant. I love God and have faith. I stopped taking my medication for 10 months and ended up in the psych ward. How can I reconcile my need for an antidepressant with my faith in God?
SC1537 Overcoming depression for me was a process. Seek counsel and support and continue to take your meds. Include prayer and fasting. Let your life be made new one day at a time by spending time with the Lord and if you don't have a church family pray for the Lord to lead you to a church home that could support you on your Christian journey. God is good and He will provide all you need to live this godly life. Take it one day at a time. He's with you. ❤
SC1537 You have to rebuke the accuser! Literally speaking out to your body who has authority, who is your creator, telling the devil that he no longer can control your emotions your body or your mind. Speak truth over yourself daily.
SC1537 how big is your faith... depression is first spiritual before physical.. Therefore demand supernatural anti-depressants ! And God will quicken your doctors and therapists ....have faith ! The Lord shall heal you ... Don't do anything below the Wisdom of God !
SC1537 listen to your physician and pray...worship in prayer praise and worship will eventually ween you off of medication...it's ok to use them to steady your mind like numb it so u don't go full fledged crazy but keep praying...I've been in similar situation but I'm free...never get off meds cold turkey ween yourself 1 tab, 1/2 , then take as u need ...ask God in prayer to guard your mind and your thoughts...make that your daily prayer.
