When I took the guard off of my needle, it pulled the whole needle off and then I couldn’t get the sound to play until I looked underneath and noticed that the needle wasn’t attached correctly. Half an hour later lol sounds great.
Not been able to watch a video for sometime due to health and life issues but I can not help but notice the lightning is different. Basically a big improvement.
I still love my compact Victrola Eastwood (original unit) record player (with a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver) sent to me very generously by Record-ology a few Christmases ago and to honour my friend, I play Glenn Miller albums on it as well as plenty of other records and I'm still thinking about buying a 78rpm stylus/cartridge, but in the meantime I have enjoyed playing LPs and 45s. :)
If I were a vinyl newbie, I would look at your other reviews to determine which record player I'd choose. I think most of your viewers would agree. I know that $100.00 is not much, but I would know that my money is being well spent.
Would love if you used a pair of reference affordable powered speakers like a pair of edifiers or fluance or the likes that you could connect these type of record players to .. to be part of your overall testing... To get a full range of how good it is..... Personal experience.. with my son's Crosley suitcase hooked up to a pair of Bose companion speakers it's night and day.... Same with our Victrola Empire Mid Century... Hooked to a pair of Edifiers and it's fantastic...
Additional Comment: with the addition of a platter mat it might solve the issue of the record sitting lower than expected. Just a thought. (It might not be possible to close the lid with this in mind though).
My friend has just bought one after having a record collection but no player, for many years. She didn't want to spend much money, and she doesn't have space for a full hifi kit, so she thought this would be suitable. I just think there must be a better alternative at that price point, but I don't know much about players in that price range.
I think this is just the Eastwood restyled. They do offer an Eastwood Signature for $150 that looks like the original Eastwood, but with improved speakers. It still doesn't sound as good as the Revolution Go, but it's close.
I enjoyed watching I like Victoria and Crosley units my only red flag is the speakers that is in the unit I think if the speakers were better matched to the needle probably should sound better other than that I think it’s a good unit
Rather a lot of top-end using the built-in speakers, bordering on the shrill side. The direct feed sounded better though. These are just my observations based on this video review.
It sounds tinny. Too bad. I'm one of those who don't like a protruding record. Why not make it just a little bigger? Is your new 45 adapter metal? I like heavy metal adapters. It is very groovy looking, though. Thanks for the show.
Yeah why didn’t they keep the internals like the Revolution Go just without the battery? Need the shock mounting! Need the same speaker/ amplification! Need the headphone jack on the front! Victrola really missed the mark here. I know they are trying hard to keep the price down but maybe they could make a premium version for those of us who want the higher quality.
It's a nice looking unit. Unfortunately it just doesn't do justice to what that cartridge can actually sound like. I bet they used a real "bottom shelf" preamp circuit for this, or they really screwed up on the tone.
Speed accuracy on record players should be the least of most people’s worries again, this is subjective not objective. Playback purists would would disagree with me .I’m neutral about this
You sound really sad and disappointed. I never heard you like that, is all okay? Normally you are more positive, but I welcome a bit more critical approach but does not mean that you have to be sad, this made you almost cry as you expected something else. Who does not know the feeling if you think it will be great or it will happen, and then does not.

Thank you brother! Prayers for a speedy recovery! Yes we started shooting on an upgraded camera a few months back.
You did sound disappointed that it didn't sound as good as the portable Revolution Go. Sound is what we cherish.

We should do that...ok from now on!

You should try out the Mykesonic record player. Yes, it's pricier but better. I have one of them. The sound is great!!
I have the first one great sound with speakers...
Hello, new subscriber here from Australia 🇦🇺
Welcome!!

It has a good design it has got good recored needle
I appreciate your honesty brother man
whats that blue record you put? do you consider the suitcase victrola would be the same quality for half the price?

The pitch is slow out of the box
Is there anything I can do about it?

I have a question is the dust cover removable????
Yes, almost all dust covers are removable

Agreed!
maybe first person to have more record players then records Record-ology xD
Close but not quite!
All it needs is the vulcanised rubber tube to stick in the ear
lol then its perfect!
Bro just played Diddy in 2024 lol

What’s the name of the second album you played
It’s a Vinyl Moon release.
@@Recordologyis there a name?
@@Godmadegav The song seems to be Torino by GRDN ft Oli Rudow if that helps, no idea what the album is but maybe you can find out.
If you’re upset by a non full size platter, I don’t think any portable players are for you

You get what you pay for

Dude chill, he sounds totally normal. And even if he had something going on, it’s none of our business
Nah Im happy as ever!
Sound is everything - no tone control. Doesn't matter what it looks like. The sound on this thing is atrocious
