- Abandoned Burger King - Cleveland, OH. Enjoy a look at this updated location near the Agora Theatre on Cleveland's east side. We were in the area back in October to see KMFDM and that is how we discovered this location had closed.

Hello! Maybe I can shed some light on (possibly) why this location closed.. directly behind this Burger King, is the “E.30th” projects. Not a very safe area, at all. If you google about this location, many news articles come up about how this BK has been robbed multiple times. They probably had a hard time getting employees, especially during the pandemic.. and ultimately decided to close. Carnegie is a direct route for many Cleveland Clinic employees from downtown to the Clinic.. the McDonalds a few doors down would always be busy during rush hour, and rarely did this BK have anyone in line whenever I’ve been by. I’m assuming that’s because of the lack of item availability, service, and McDonalds breakfast being more popular (and available). There’s another abandoned BK on the west side, on Detroit and Lake ave. that has been abandoned for years now. I think BK’s are having a hard time staying open, period.
Facts !!
Yeppp🤣 I definitely passed this by this bk to go to popeyes down the street🤣
Too Many Drugs and Crime In The 30th Street Projects Right Behind it, They were Using The Parking 🅿️ Lot as The Drive thru For Crack and Heroin
I ain't know they closed it..I bet that Liquor store still open
Not to mention there’s one on Turney road in Garfield Heights that just closed down also not to long ago
Happy you did this in the daytime. You right by the projects. It goes down at night.
Can believe those projects are still standing.. there old as dirt on some valuable property
Thanks for Awesome Burger King Video Buddy Wallie.
Wow this Burger King FINALLY closed after all of these years! This B.K used to get robbed SO MANY TIMES!!! I didn't live too far from this area. I can attest that this Burger King used to close early often due to lack of staff, POOR customer service and because they would always get robbed. Also, as someone who used to live in this area many years ago, one piece of advice for you: DO NOT STAY THERE WHEN IT GETS DARK!
This was the sketchiest Burger King I've ever been to. Someone once asked me if I wanted to buy heroin in the bathroom and then tried to fight me when I said no.
Funny and scary
Damn, really? That sucks! I'm surprised BK bothered, to remodel this location to this box style building. Which is like BK's answer, to the ugly 'McBox' buildings they have been increasingly building. At least the newer Taco Bell and Wendy's box buildings, don't look as ugly.
Thanks!
Thank you very very much! Glad you enjoyed!!
I appreciate you! Thank you again!
@@WallieB26 how is your day going, and I was just wondering if you ever do go to Buc-ee's again could you get me a bumper sticker and if you can let me know and send the receipt I will pay you back
I'm actually from Cleveland and I delivered a doordash from there and yeah it was actually horrible. The staff were always rude and they never had the supplies they needed.
I’ve been here once and you’re right. It was terrible!!
Great VideoThanks for sharing this one wallie keep it up buddy
Glad that the abandoned restaurant videos are back, it's been a while. Oh! And there's a Cadillac dealership across the road from it as well, nice! 👍
What makes the Cadillac dealership special?

Funny, I just drove past this BK last week on my way to the gym and thought "oh, I didn't realize that one had closed" and now here it is on my TH-cam homepage haha
The memories In that area were some of the happiest times in my life fr
Definitely know where this was, been in Cleveland this past Sunday. That bleep had me cracking up towards the end, thank you. Never Stop Exploring and having fun.
They built a brand new BK in Batesburg SC near me but the employees were awful. They talked back to the customer and got orders wrong and just did not want to be there working and just wanted a paycheck. The last straw was an employee for covid and they let them keep working. It now sits empty with signs down. It's a shame a brand new building sitting empty now that is not barely a year old
Happy New Year Wallie!!! I hope you make great videos for 2023!!!
I was definitely waiting for this!! For another abandoned video
Same here
This is a sad and shameful situation. I don't understand why people think its ok to rob, destroy or be disrespectful just because they are considered poor. A lot of us have been poor or down and out as they say and we never felt it was ok to steal or destroy or be disrespectful. I guess it all comes down to how yore raised.
I couldn't agree more. I grew up pretty much poor. I dont want to necessarily say poor but things could have been better. Though they could have been worse. I grew up being grateful for what I had. I grew up grateful to be able to do what I could. My parents tried the best they could. I watched so many of my friends and classmates in school get all the neatest new things and their folks drive all the new cars all while we got what we could. If I could finally buy something that everyone else had months ago, I was full of joy to finally experience what everyone else did a long time before me. If I couldn't, it made me sad, yeah, but I just learned to deal with it or get over it. It makes me so upset how society has become and I feel bad that people have to resort to doing what they do... I can see if it's for food or to keep a roof over your head. But when it's for material possessions or money for who knows what, then I can't justify it.
Wallie man u could grab me a whooper
WallieB26 really enjoyed your abandoned BK! Kayla, I agree with you on Long John Silver's! The location in Durant sucks and their food isn't worth eating anymore. WallieB26, can't wait till your next video!
Sadly, Kayla was right about Long John Silver's plunging in quality. There is a GREAT reason there, why so many Chicago area standalone ones(except for a handful in Northwest Indiana, and a few combination ones with LJS and something else in the Chicago area) have closed. I hope Kayla is doing well, despite that I recently heard that both of them separated.
Awesome video Wallie!!!
I may be able to explain this.
A lot, and I mean A LOT, of the Burger Kings in Ohio were corporate owned by a company called CBK.
CBK went bankrupt a few years ago and got bought out by TOMS King.
TOMS ended up shutting down a lot of BKs due to the pandemic, like one of the locations in Sandusky.
On a smaller scale, that happened here in Atlanta with two BK’s although both BK’s were older. One of the BK’s was demolished and is now a Shake Shack. Edit: Post Covid
This is true I was hired through TomsKing but that was awhile ago I was like 19 around that time
There's another abandoned bk on Detroit avenue. Use to go there back in the day but I never had an issue with the workers. They treated my grandma very well with lots of respect.
There’s another abandon one on Lorain and west 140th
Awesome 👌 and happy new year
Went to this one a few times last year. Didn't know it was closed.
I used to go to that BK all the time when I worked down the street. One of my co-workers was robbed in the drive thru line during lunch time. So many BK closed all over Cleveland and surrounding burbs. Was Covid hard on them? I’m just grateful that one stayed open near me. Whopper Jr. combo 2X a week
I was at the AGORA recently to see W.A.S.P, but on the westside there are 4 that are closed and abandon now. Just sitting and shut down. All with in a 3 mile radius.
🙂
Blackie whopper
A lot of the Burger Kings have closed up.
Home of the abaounded
I see that location did the same thing as one of my local Burger King where the front portion of the building is remodeled completely to the bland modern look, but the back is barely touched and just has a new coat of paint.
Have a happy new year! Great video
Sad seeing all these newer closed Burger Kings. If they have too many locations then close an older one.
They must have forgot to pay the internet bill. Must be why the Spectrum bill got left there
I love Watching these kinds of videos 😌
Glad to see ya back .Happy New Years 🎉
NUGGETS! NUGGETS! NUGGETS!
Happy new year Wallie!
I used to go here when I worked at St. Vincent! I actually liked this BK; they were out of stock on things sometimes but the food was always good. The only time I had to wait a long time for the food (one of the staff members looked like they were in the middle of quitting? idk), they gave me the bag & put an extra fries in there just 'cause. Those fries were fresh, too.
Also the one time they forgot my sauce, they had given me extra sauce the week prior & I'd saved it in my office. Other than that, they always made sure I had sauce. That's more than what a lot of BKs do.
Haven't thought about this place in a hot minute but now I kinda miss it 🥲
In an ironic coincidence, Wally said "I can't imagine how much that must weigh" as I was moving/ carrying a bookcase that was supposed to be assembled and moved by two people!!
Oh yeah and have a happy new year
lol awesome video bro wishing you and kayla a safe and happy new year 👍
Happy New Year, cool video 🥰
As a resident who passed that store twice daily for 10 years, It never had buisness except breakfast, & it was in a very high traffic area between points A & B for westsiders, I myself gave up Fastfood about 10 years ago! PS thats the 4th BK to close in CLE
It’s in the hood lmao that’s why
Dude, you have the Pittsburgh accent ! ..... love the videos 😊
I checked Google Map a year later, and you have been there. And yes, it is still abandoned. Burger King to everyone there. That is the truth.
itss werid how they closed such a new looking burgerking
You do know they have had shootings around the corner don't you?
Boy. I hope you was safe down there!
Nice 👌 thanx for sharing 👍
That Bleep was hilarious lol
The workers probably bankrupt the owner because of stealing, and the neighborhood is not safe after the sun goes down. Hey, I can do without the indigestion after you eat a burger from there. The one in the Steelyards is still open for now.
The Burger Kings on the west side of Cleveland are open. the one on Clark Avenue, Memphis Avenue, West 110th and Lorraine, Puritas Ave and on Pearl Road. There's another abandoned Burger King on Detroit Avenue on the West side.
Happy new year 🎉 I enjoy watching your videos 😊
There’s a Burger King on the corner of Broadway and Libby/granger that’s been closed for many years. Building is still there
Enjoyed this segment, thanks Wallie 👌👍
I grew up on the west side of Cleveland. Theres another abandoned burger King on 73rd in Detroit
Happy New Year, Wallie and Kayla!
Long John Silvers are dropping like flies too... maybe she's on to something.. She does seem pretty bitter about LJS... Hello from Reno, Nevada! 🙂 Loved the video! Keep it up!
Come back to Natrona Hgts (Pa) area. (Up from New Kensington.)
The recently built Burger King has already been abandoned.
The are hadn't had a BK in over 25yrs, and this one just got built and has already been closed.
While youre at it. Go across the street to the local Plaza. You can see the long abandoned Foodland. And a number of places in the plaza.
The plaza used to be the home of a Fishers Big Wheel.
So many abandoned restaurants and stores now
There’s one in Parma, Ohio on Snow Road that closed in October of 2021
That one closed too? The one on Pearl closed.
@@RonV535 Yes, I live in Parma and my mom told me it closed. That was a month after the one in Seven Hills closed.
Hay wallie I left you a message on ig and every time you in Cleveland I be like dang I wish I could meet him but I enjoy the videos I always say that I've been following you and ACE for a long time...stay safe man and happy 2023
That's creepy AF you
I’m willing to bet that that is Central Cadillac across the street.
You mean Ganley
Happy New year to you and your family young man 👍😎
I love your channel
Happy New Years Wallie
It's super hard to the first person in line for a concert because a lot people book tickets online early so they want to the concert hall quickly so they won't have to stand in a long line when they get to the concert hall to get tickets.
Are you sure it's closed? My local BK often just locks the doors and the workers hide out of sight. You can place an online order and when you roll up, nobody answers the drive through or comes to the window. I was eating lunch inside one day and the workers locked the doors and stopped more customers from entering.
BK has closed several around here. Of the big three they are consistently underperforming the other two. It seems like corporate keeps trying gimmicks.
I subscribed showing love from the 216
About 4 and a half years ago, I was craving a Whopper and drove down to my local BK. Everything looked in order but the lot was empty and the doors were locked. No signs. No people. Now, I was really craving that Whopper, so I drove down to the other one in the suburb I live in (just outside of Minneapolis), and the other one had updated the marquee on the sign to read "Temporarily Closed," and a security company was changing the locks on the door. A few weeks later, I get word that the owner of both locations (and a couple other in the metro area) were not paying their property taxes. I don't know if there is any relation to what you have going on here... but as I mentioned, it's been over four years now, and if I want a whopper, I need to be seriously motivated, my nearest BK still in operation is two towns over. :(
That sucks😢
Make your own.
Im from the area but on the West side and we have a similar situation. We had multiple BKs close out of the blue and had most of us scratching our heads as to why
Love me some Burger King. I prefer Burger King over McDonald's.
The projects that’s why I grew up in those parts I’m not surprised
It might of been a lease issue or the franchise shutdown
Happy new year.
Very nice. I've been to that Burger King. I graduated from a college near there. Interesting that you went to a place that I've been to.
about a year ago the BK at W143 Lorain ave closed. Been going there since the 70's.
The decline of Burger King in Cleveland has skyrocketed in recent years only a handful of BK's left and idk why
Man you was in the hood! I'm from Cleveland and don't go down on 30th anymore be safe
There was still part of the payphone there. The coin box and coin return were there. Looks like someone ripped off the top part.
Due to lack of staff and labor costs, this had to happen, what's also a problem is that the owners stores are being targeted for robberies and its more likely that it's a former manager that knows the sequence of operations. All of this combined with customer complaints about the food costs money to replace the food items, which are expensive to purchase and costs the owners money. They eat most of the food and complain to get what they think is free food, this causes prices to rise and costs employees hours of work. Finally, that's a very dangerous area to operate in, that McDonald's has been robbed repeatedly over the years also, along with other restaurants in the area, police are very rare to respond in this area quickly, and so business owners are shelling out a lot of money to stay afloat. The opposite has happened with the McDonald's on Mayfield Rd. by Golden Gate, free food given to customers complaints and how much food has to be replaced because customers want free food, just to ship the delivery is expensive due to high diesel charges. I hope this sheds some light on this.
Only here because it was Cleveland! Love my city! #theland4life
Happy new year wallie
Hi
@@Blockbusterfan346 oh hey it's you
I think the possible closing of Burger King could be because they have sold too many cold burgers. I know this to be the case in my area and it being the reason why I no longer go to Burger King. The Burger King in Greensburg Indiana was keeping their hamburger patties and aluminum bowl on the shelf and the Burger chef pulled them out with tongues one at a time. The problem is is it won't melt cheese and it's cold. Nothing tastes nastier than a cold hamburger. With these kids running the hamburger stands they don't give a damn about whether you like your burger or not. They will pretty much tell you where to get off.
I think 3 burger kings have recently closed in the Cleveland area. Willoughby, that one and in Garfield heights
Several Burger Kings closed in the Cleveland Area, even in places that are not run down neighborhoods. Almost seems like the company has difficulties.
The BK on Memphis Rd. just south of Bellaire Rd. on the west side closed years ago. Was quite busy as this location is just a block from I-71 off ramp.
BK on Pearl in Parma closed about the same time as this one in the video. Staff wasn’t bad but orders being correct was 50/50.
All Burger Kings are closing...I only know of one that is still open in Parma. I have no idea why they all closed...
There is one in Painesville OH now too.
Kmfdm in 2023 or 2022 what the heck they were popular when I was young they must be all grandpas now
They're in their 50s but are still doing great. They put on a heck of a show. I did a video which I'll have uploaded soon. Was going to post it months ago but my backlog of videos and the holiday videos took over. So I'm just catching up.
I’m pretty sure I went to that BK during the lockdown in 2020. So many fast food restaurants have closed. I think they’re having a hard time finding people to work. Also, a local BK franchise owner just filled for bankruptcy. I wonder if this location was part of that franchise owner.
It's no shock to see another closed Burger King. If you want old/cold food Burger King is the place for you. Management is not smart enough to figure out why Mcdonald's has a line to the street and they have an empty drive-through. It's a shame that they have not figured this out yet but it seems that every Burger King has the same problem.
Yall could have came to Dayton it's a few closed Burger King that closed here.. Mostly because they didn't have enough staff
Ate at that burger king a lot when I was downtown ._. don't know why they closed it, I don't think it's been opened up yet but I haven't been down in a month or so, so I may check soon
Happy New Years Willie me and my fiance love your videos 🥰
im from Elyria, about 25 mmiles away and we have 3 BKs shut down just on my side of town
Happy New Year to you and Kayla! 💜
I am not far from Cleveland, but the closer you go towards Cleveland, the worse they get. All of them are dirty, the food is always cold and just plain sucks. In fact, even the ones nowhere near Cleveland suck. Just in my area alone, most all of them are shut down now..one had a cockroach infestation...another couldn't get employees to work and the one in my town burnt down to the ground about a month ago because the vents were coated with grease. I always liked Burger King over Mcdonalds..but I could never understand why their Corporate structure never had better management over each restaurant. A clean restaurant doesn't take much effort, nor does serving hot food. I ate at a Chick-fil-A about 2 years ago, about 45 minutes before they closed. As I sat there and ate, they started their procedures for closing that night..All of the seating booths were pulled away from the walls, the floor were swept and they started mopping the floors with hot water and solutions...they then started wiping down the walls and literally cleaned every inch of the restaurant..I've never seen hospitals clean that thoroughly. I asked the employee if they always clean that way...she said, every night. Hence why they get so much business. As for Burger King, it's like they want them to fail, when they could easily be saved with some investments in the restaurant appearance and staff.
That's a bad bad area Wallie be safe bro
I go by this place all the time, I was here about 4 or 5 months ago I had no idea it closed
I think Buger King is in trouble they recently closed the one on Turney Rd in Garfield Hts it seems like there all closing
I’ve been to that BK, it’s right next to a bad set of projects, & the occupants of said projects made that place Hell.
You're absolutely right I laugh at myself all the time ⌚
There is one closed for a long time in Berea or it may be Middleburg Hts.? I 71 and Bagley Rd.. Closed much longer than this location. There is a Mc Donald's nextdoor. One wonders if it maybe the same franchise owner. Also a defunct Kmart behind. There is also franchise rules that there can't be franchises within a certain number of miles. There is one in Bagley at the Berea/Olmsted Falls line and one the other the other direction on Pearl Rd .. In Middleberg.
If you from Cleveland, you stay away from 28th and Cedar.
