I love the way Eric looks at toad who is under Xavier’s control. At that moment Eric knew what was going on. His reaction says it all.
Yeah. When sabertooth says "That's enough Eric." I pictured those were Xavier's words. He calls Magneto by his first name all the time right? Also when toad passively says "let them go" we can assume it wasn't the real toad's words. His voice tone was higher, a more passive/humble perhaps.
Charles: goes into Sabretooth's mind and gets him to grasp Magneto's throat

Unfortunately, Im willing to bet Magneto passively locks the helmet to his head, So that it cant be easily removed.

That being said Xavier also could have mind controlled mystique to just fly them somewhere without collateral damage. Xavier in this sort of movie is a bit too powerful to function as a protagonist.
Could have made Toad bring Rougue to him too. But then he would just shoot the cops

We just witnessed Xavier can defeat magneto at anytime. he just chooses not to.

If you watch the video Toad starts to move away while holding Rogue because Xavier is controlling him so Magneto fires the gun stops the bullet and then says to Charles “Fine. Care to press your luck Charles? I don’t think I can stop them all.

Ian Mckellen did a great job being the Magneto
lol when i was a kid watching these scene I always thought Sabretooth and Toad had a sudden change of heart when telling Magneto to stop. It wasn't until much later when I realized Charles was mind controlling them.
Not the brightest kid, but Iam sure you had fun and that it is the most important thing.

He wants survival of his kind, he wants power, and he wants to let or speed up evolution to do its work. What he done is not just soulless murder intention, but demonstration of his power over regular humans, and also mentally over Xavier
@@darkpartizan Of course Magneto doesn’t randomly murder people. That much is pretty evident in the X-Men series. He generally kills soldiers, people attacking him, leaders of his enemies, or in the comics he does kill people that remind him of his brutal Nazi SS captors during the Holocaust (Sebastian Shaw)
I love how Magneto has an ability to fly, but makes the helicopter a part of his plan.

I mean, they are bringing back Ryan Renolds as Deadpool with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, in an R-Rated movie, so maybe it is worth giving it a chance, after all Fox was a lot worse of a shit show. Also Hulk hasn't even had his story completed yet, he is a hard character to develop because Marvel doesn't own solo movie rights for Hulk so they can't make movies where he is the lead, that is why they had to use the She-Hulk TV show loophole to get Hulk villains and characters into the MCU. Thor, well he hasn't turned out so bad, sure the first couple movies ranged between decent to shit, but then we got Ragnarok which was a great movie, and he was a beast in infinity war, then he had a realistic depression arc in Endgame as anyone would if they lost everyone in life and couldn't even get proper revenge, lastly Love and Thunder wasn't the best in its execution but Thor being a father and becoming even more powerful is probably a good thing going forwards. Heroes aren't interesting if they don't have character development over their lifetimes on the big and small screen, Thor can't just start out perfect, he needs to grow and learn just like any human.

To everyone asking in their posts why the officer didn’t just move out of the path of the bullet, you’re forgetting one very important fact. Magneto is controlling the bullet. Magneto can make it move sideways, he can make it do loop de loops, he can disassemble it and reassemble it. It doesn’t matter where the officer moves to because Magneto can move the bullet along with him. As for why doesn’t Xavier use Sabretooth to remove Eric’s helmet my guess is it’s because maybe he doesn’t want to after all Eric is still his best friend and being that it’s a metal helmet Magneto could easily resist having it moved.
ah, but stopping sabretooth would divert his attention at the very least... there's only so much Magneto can do at once. and he could have OPENED with that instead of the throat grab. it was an idiotic move, tacticlly speaking.
@@alexsolomon7991 Ok, so let’s say Xavier is successful in taking off Eric’s helmet. Most likely what would happen is that all the guns would drop to the ground because Magneto is no longer controlling them. This would give the cops the opportunity to pick them up and most likely start firing on Magneto, Sabretooth and Toad. With Magneto under Xavier’s control he wouldn’t be able to stop them. Xavier or Jean could but would they react in time?
why cops start aiming to flying cars, instead of put Magneto down? He is powerful, but not some sort of Neo, who can stop that gun power

Instead of using the element of surprise to choke Eric, Charles should have made Sabertooth bop him on the head and knock him out. Then he could easily remove the helmet and end all of it.

Everyone saying that Charles should have Sabertooth remove MAGNETO'S METAL helmet should probably take a look at the earlier part of this scene. He can lift cars easy. No way can some maybe stronger than average buff dude make him lose the helmet if he doesn't want to.

Scientifically eric would induce magnetic flux into the copper to produce electric current that would inturn produce magnetic field turning that copper into a magnet that magneto can easily control.

I can’t believe with everyone saying that with Charles actually should just take the helmet off right there when he had the opportunity when Erik pointed it out to him but also think with sheer stupidity that Charles knows of the helmet blocking his telepathy becaof the prequel X-men first class. FOR GOD SAKE! First class’s story was never taken into consideration because the plot of that movie and the plot behind didn’t exist until producers made it so in 2011. And I have proof of this: Remember in this movie that Charles said that Erik helped him build cerebro? Well Erik already left Charles to form his brotherhood of mutants not being present to help build cerebro now did he?

But Emma Frost is a full grown woman in the 1960s in X-men first class and Scott is a little 11 year old child (scene in particular is Charles using cerebro for the first time and seeing a young cyclops playing with a ball with his baseball mit. I can’t take these movies seriously if these idiots are going to make these continuity errors.

XMen First Class has the answer here. Just take Magnetos helmet off. Charles should just use Sabertooth and Toad to remove the helmet. Sabertooth is hella strong - squeeze the neck with one hand to put Magneto under distress and then pull the helmet off with the other hand. Even if he can't get the helmet off before Magneto passes out, people do pass out before they die.

Waitaminute!! Isn't Sabretooth immune to mind control? At least that was what shown in the comics and in the Wolverine movie where that girl tried to manipulate Sabretooth but failed.
I think her power was more a manipulation of will than of mind, not to mention two other things, one, hers might be less effective against someone who knows what to expect, and two, charles is definitely more powerful than her, but ultimately, i’m not completely sure

@@grantalbrecht4577 Eric is not an ever working super magnet. He needs intent and concentration to use a decent amount of power. Charles could use sabertooh to hold him with one hand and punch him in the face(or the stomach, Magneto is not physically resillient) to disrupt his focus and immediately take the helmet off.
@@celinreyes1983 Well sure but keeping his helmet on his head isn’t exactly a lifting the Golden Gate Bridge type feat. Eric is pretty OP with anything metal when he wants to be and does not seem to need much time for small feats. Sabertooth is strong and fast, but he’s not that powerful all things considered. Assuming he doesn’t wrap at least a low level magnetic field around the helmet as a precaution whenever he goes into a dangerous situation, which I would, all he’s going to need is a split second to protect the helmet and/or pull all those triggers. I’d consider that a pretty big gamble for Charles to assume he can incapacitate him 100 percent in that maybe second or two you have, he’d be gambling with all those men’s lives. Certainly not what I would consider a plot hole but ymmv I guess.
@@grantalbrecht4577 an average human punch only takes .33 seconds. Sabertooh's probably would take .1sec or less. No way Magneto would be able to avoid an attack at point blank.
But if Magneto use a magnetic shield around his body and his helmet, I believe you are absolutely right, Magneto not only would hold his helmet but use any metal around to counter any attack, like metal inside sabertooh's clothing, since he is incredibly sensitive to metal.
And honestly, Magneto definitely would use that magnetic field when there was a high probability of attack.
Magneto is one of the main characters after all and unlike I thought earlier, he has no need for plot armor😅
Magneto has moved way, way bigger things and would keep the helmet attached the instant he felt someone trying to move it. And attacking him while he’s holding a bunch of dudes at gunpoint is just a recipe for disaster

Imagine if Magneto had to ability to not only control Metal, but also create it, this would the plastic prison he was being held in X2 unable to contain him. Also imagine Professor X able the ability to transfer another person's consciousness into another person's body and twitch the other persons with theirs, ultimate power upgrade!
X-men 2 has the answer to that. It was a plastic prison within a Faraday Cage which contained all his magnetic powers the Faraday Cage absorbing any magnetic field he produced and the plastic being non-metallic. A Faraday Cage will contain magnetism since the magnetism cancels out within it.
So why couldn't Toad or sabretooth just have taken Magneto's ESP-proof helmet off his head? Then control the main man too???
