Just want to say thanks boys for your extraordinary efforts. Live in SA but a Blues supporter since the '80s, so a bit jaded....hehe....Background story for those who read past a paragraph.....so not my boys....😂. No matter how I tried couldn't get them to support the Blues. Through those long dark days to push them any harder was probably more akin to child abuse...lol. So I understood that one went for Geelong (great club btw) & the other Port (each to their own but the "pride of SA" has always annoyed me more...) But more importantly they both love footy, and in the last couple of years my eldest has had an epiphany and is now a seriously passionate Blues fan - he is the one who found your channel. With Voss at the helm I see flashes of this passion in both the squad & the club. And yes I'm being selfish, but I really just want the club to repay his faith and play consistently with genuine passion. I know there's lots of money, nepotism, sychophants and politics in AFL clubs, and yes we live in a WOKE world. But I'm old school and footy starts with pride...in yourself AND in representing your club. To win a final, let alone a flag, individuals need to have had the glaring spotlight pointed on them to grow and manage the heat, learning that effort (and success etc.) comes from within....nowhere else. This spotlight is something that I felt was missing from the club for decades, and although it's not the panacea surely we leave no stone unturned right? So you boys have a crucial role in calling it as it is, and you do so in a way that really resonates with Blues supporters. Good stuff. 👍
it feels like they players are playing in the fear of failure, where hawks are playing with no fear of what others think and are just out ther playing fun. it feels they are playing with the weight of all the expectations and voss is in away amplifying that expectation they are being crushed by it
Why do people keep saying theyll learn from this? They haven't learn anything in the last 3 years. This year was the exact same as 2022 bar Freo losing vs dogs winning final round so we made 8th. We havnt learnt shit. We still bomb it in long. We still havnt developed speed in our game plan
As a Lions supporter who was fortunate to have experienced and enjoyed the 3peat + 1 years, I've been overseas since 2010. So I haven't been to a live game for 14 years. Reason for my comment is a specie that while Vossy was a great player, captain and leader - as a player - I suspect he's not got the skills, attitude and motivational techniques that's required of a coach. I'm referring to man management skills. Just look at his former teammates, i.e. Chris Scott and Craig Mcrae. Premiership winning coaches, but neither captained a team as a player. All blame rests on the players. They didn’t tackle. They put on no pressure. That’s not a coaching issue. That’s not selection. That’s a heart issue. The players need to look at themselves. People blaming Voss have very short memories. The group needs full buy in. Honestly, the players really need to be held more accountable instead of using the coach as a scapegoat. They either want to be champions or not. I don’t care what players you have on the park, you could have an AA team…but if you don’t put pressure on, doesn’t matter what your game plan is, what strategy…what matters is effort, and the coach can’t tackle or run for you. Agree with Pom, there is no second chances, but disagree about injuries. It does make a difference. Pick any team, ANY TEAM and take out 11 of their starters…and tell me who they beat. I believe in being a realist and injuries like we incurred absolutely have an effect.
Yes, injuries can decimate any team. BUT, I believe some teams manage the frequency and seriousness of injuries and recovery better than others. Just saying.

Dear Carlton Fans and the Carlton Football Club THIS IS THE ISSUE AT CARLTON Carlton doesn’t feel like a family as much as a business. I have followed them for many years and I’ve always felt the same. They have to change the vibe down there. It’s got a corporate sheen about it. Carlton feels like a business park more than a family home. Everyone is playing their role but they just can’t fight with passion for as long as they need to because the players don’t LOVE it as much as they need to when representing it. Many players, administration and coaches don’t love it enough. They haven’t connected enough. Voss says he wants consistency but what Carlton needs before this is an innate drive to be consistent outside of just professionalism. It needs to have that sense of connection that makes a father get up and work 10 hours a day under shitty cars to send their child to a good school. That’s called LOVE, not professionalism. And it’s incredibly CONSISTENT. The place is a bit too fake, backed by corporate powerbrokers and right wingers. To break it all down ask yourself this question: how many players have fallen in love with the club? We need love more so than professionalism . Heart first, professionalism will follow, guaranteed. Watching all the fans sit back in disbelief is like watching someone in a relationship who gets let down as much as they get lifted up. Us fans even say it every week. We get sucked in. Fitness and injury management is the major issue at Carlton. I was banging on at Russell ineptness years ago. Every year he has been there we have been in the top five for injuries in the AFL. You cant be cosistent when you do not have contuinity.Also we are a mentally weak club have been for a very long time. Voss and co have proved they are mediocare at best! Next year i am afraid we are going to go backwards unless major changes are made. Fitness and proper injury management. Support coaches need to be changed. At least 10 players need to go! Sad actually!!

Great work all year Tez,Pom and all at Blue Abroad. Its a painful way to finish the year but to be fair it was always more likely that we lose to Lions at gabba Since that geelong game we just fell down, or after quarter time against Giants. We showed our best was up there briefly and then just lost form, then started losing players to injury etc. Voss had some misses and so did a majority of the players. We MUST work on our disposal efficiency with this group,and that includes Walsh and Cripps. We're still in the buikding stages of Voss' time at Carlton Have faith, they can get rid of some more deadwood,injury prone players etc. Refresh, new fitness team etc,player development etc We will be back in 2025 ***adding that the way so many are acting surprised at losing this game... Voss says he wants consistency but what Carlton needs before this is an innate drive to be consistent outside of just professionalism. It needs to have that sense of connection that makes a father get up and work 10 hours a day under shitty cars to send their child to a good school. That’s called LOVE, not professionalism. And it’s incredibly CONSISTENT. The place is a bit too fake, backed by corporate powerbrokers and right wingers. To break it all down ask yourself this question: how many players have fallen in love with the club? We need love more so than professionalism . Heart first, professionalism will follow, guaranteed.
Watching all the fans sit back in disbelief is like watching someone in a relationship who gets let down as much as they get lifted up. Us fans even say it every week. We get sucked in. Fitness and injury management is the major issue at Carlton. I was banging on at Russell ineptness years ago. Every year he has been there we have been in the top five for injuries in the AFL. You cant be cosistent when you do not have contuinity.Also we are a mentally weak club have been for a very long time. Voss and co have proved they are mediocare at best! Next year i am afraid we are going to go backwards unless major changes are made. Fitness and proper injury management. Support coaches need to be changed. At least 10 players need to go! Sad actually!!

Great work all year Tez,Pom and all at Blue Abroad. Its a painful way to finish the year but to be fair it was always more likely that we lose to Lions at gabba
Since that geelong game we just fell down, or after quarter time against Giants. We showed our best was up there briefly and then just lost form, then started losing players to injury etc.
Voss had some misses and so did a majority of the players.
We MUST work on our disposal efficiency with this group,and that includes Walsh and Cripps.
We're still in the buikding stages of Voss' time at Carlton
Have faith, they can get rid of some more deadwood,injury prone players etc. Refresh, new fitness team etc,player development etc

Our assistant coaches are not up to it. Our small forwards are always injured. Our game plan is old and not up to date. Get the ball and bomb it, when every other team gets the ball and chip it forward and kick. goals.
