I am a super anxious person and almost got the police involved. My ex-girlfriend is someone who doesn't back down from her decisions, so I was worried that my hope of being with her would be reduced to zero. Stay consistent, and they will break the no contact rule. Trust me. If they once loved you, just give them time.

Recently, my girlfriend noticed that I've matured since my return. She was pleasantly surprised to see that I've become less needy, and she's happier being with me now. She had initially worried about our history repeating itself, but those concerns have subsided.

I really appreciate Victoria's comments toward the end. We hear a lot of the stuff we should be doing to better ourselves, how to stay strong in no contact, etc, but the confirmation from a different point of view always makes the emotional hardships and struggles much easier to see the importance of working on ourselves, but even moreso making us feel like prioritizing ourselves is okay... without feeling selfish.

Here’s the thing about kids… I don’t necessarily think it should be a dealbreaker because no matter who you end up with (whether they want kids or not), there’s always a good chance that one partner will have a fertility issue. These days, I know very few couples who haven’t had a fertility issue. In fact, although infertility is generally considered to be a female issue, I have 3 close couple friends where the infertility issue is with the MALE! The other thing I’ve seen happen a lot is people get married to have kids, even if their chemistry and connection with their partner isn’t as strong as their gut tell them it should be. Then, you end up with broken families! We need to stop focusing solely on this as a deciding factor in this society!
