@haithumsayed6295 Biomedical science is a broad term that describes the basic sciences that support healthcare and public health. If you are on biomedical science, you could have a pathway to even study medicine. Medical laboratory science is a more specific field training for laboratory complex procedures that involves tests and analyses to help diagnose patients, monitor diseases, and prevent them. Biomedical scientists need more laboratory training on specific areas to be able to work as Medical Laboratory Scientists. In some university students may be admitted for biomedical science and have specialization later for laboratory work. In America, a certification exam is necessary after degrees with an internship in lab and courses, Heamatology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood banking for you to practice as a medical Laboratory Scientist
@@HasnathFaneeqa Biomedical science is focused on treating disease at the population level while Medicine is concerned with diagnosing, treating and preventing illnesses and injuries in individual patients.
@JoonaTuhkanen-z7i A seizure caused by calcification refers to a neurological event triggered by calcium deposits in the brain. These calcifications can disrupt normal brain function, potentially leading to seizures. Brain calcifications can be associated with various conditions, such as: 1. Fahr's disease: A rare, genetic disorder that leads to calcium deposits in areas of the brain controlling movement, and may result in seizures, movement disorders, and cognitive impairments. 2. Stroke or trauma: Calcifications might occur after brain injury, leading to seizure activity. When allergies are involved, they typically do not directly cause seizures. However, severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, can result in decreased oxygen levels to the brain or trigger inflammatory processes, which may potentially lead to seizures in extreme cases. In people with epilepsy, allergic reactions to medications or substances might also exacerbate or trigger seizure episodes. Seizures resulting from calcifications or other triggers should be evaluated by a neurologist for appropriate diagnosis and management.
To be medical laboratory scientist...do we need to get PhD or Msc.. I'm currently an undergraduate in medical laboratory science...but there are lots of medical laboratory technicians who get a diploma..I feel having a degree is not worth
Your degree is worth it. The pay for MLS with degrees is more than MLT with diploma. Hw, MLT, with decades of experience, may earn the same as MLS new graduate. MLS are appointed to Managerial positions. Stay focused. Don't be frustrated. While masters and pHDs are not required some of us keep refining to keep up with tone of development happening in the medical sciences field. Your degree will be fine.
You will be fine and you can migrate to other nations as medical scientist with degree and workexperience. Very hard for technicians with diploma. All the best
I have a question I'm studying medical laboratory science in Nigeria and I'm in my first year. After getting a degree in B.MLS and i decide to practice outside Nigeria, let's say UK. Will i work as a med lab scientist or i will work as a med lab technician?
@@MDivine18 Each nation has certification for you to work as Medical laboratory scientists after your degree from another country. If you move to another nation you will have to do certification exam to practice there
Wao! Many have more than Diploma. It is not easy but it is more than possible to determine and serious people, Don't have negative mindset. You can get it by being diligent.

What's the career opportunities after ms in multidisciplinary biomedical sciences, pharmacology and toxicology USA
The opportunity is huge, according to Bureau of statistics, demand is twice in this profession than any other profession in USA
@JuMedicalscientist thank you mam
You can specialize in a discipline such as blood bank and microbiology. You can also go into leadership.

Nothing says laboratory science quite like different coloured water in various glassware and people pretending to type 😂
@dpacc88 It is better to experience laboratory work than virtually viewing the color water in various glassware 🤣
@@JuMedicalscientist Oh I know, that wasn't a judgement. I wouldn't have it any other way. It's almost tradition 😂
