Hi, Appolgies for a very late reply to this. This was something i made when I was studying film and documentary making at college. It was an idea I had as a pilot for a six part documentary series looking at the clans who once lived in Loch Lomong. This project had no budget but is something I would love to remake with a budget and in much more depth. Thank you for your compliments :)
@john, thanks for this. Brian Macfarlane served as Vice President of our organization the International Clan MacFarlane Society. He passed away a few weeks ago and was laid to rest yesterday. He will be missed. Loch Sloy!
I was just there, in Loch Lomond area last month. Visited the Arrochar, Tarbet and Invergulas area. Beautiful Country.Brought Dad's ashes, had a memorial service on the shore after service at Luss Parish church. I will be back with my Daughter next year. Loch Sloy!
Just starting to dig in to my family history on my Mum's side whose name I have recently changed to. I am a defendant of Robert McFarlane the Dean of Montrose, I have discovered through some digging that my families name is a Sept of Macfarlane and that the some of the clan were moved over to Aberdeenshire where Montrose is which ties in.
Abdul Abdullah Our President and other Clan officials are doing a wonderful job working with local officials to stop the defacing of the Isle proper and it's contents. They are doing oh so much more than could ever beging to be touch upon here to protect and preserve our Great Clans Heritage. Thank you all.
MacFarlane's have a fantastic Clan history.
Thank you for this beautiful account of our ancestors, a descendant from New Zealand❤Gillian nee McFarland

Funny, I've been thinking about doing just that. 👍

Always good to take looks into my ancestry
Good to find some of my family’s history sucks my last name was changed when they came to America I miss my A that I never had ;(
Same here.
A lot of the "Macs" did that. I guess to better assimilate in predominantly Anglo-American society?
The name MacFarlane was spelled many different ways even before many of the clan emigrated to the US.
Very interesting documentary, I really liked the music they have used. Could you tell me who is? Cheers.
Proud McFarlane
It's Funny to see all the different spellings of the name in the comments.
Nice seeing comments from other descendants =0)

Disgrace that local slime can destroy or deface this beautiful place.

That's good to hear.
There's something about "locals" everywhere who don't appreciate what makes their area unique.
@@keldonmcfarland2969 aye its a disgrace right enough
