    Nice video... but i have a question..
    How much does it cost for video streaming? i.e. i want to make an app in which i want to store my videos on firebase and make my users stream or watch without downloading them...how would i be recharged there?

    #AskFirebase Can you please shed more light on how realtime listeners are charged under the following case for Firestore- App is force closed without unsubscribing from realtime doc update and subscribing back again after 1 or 2 hours. Does this by any chance count as 2 realtime time updates as opposed to one? Many thanks. #hopeThisCommentGetsNoticed

      If you're subscribing back after two hours, the client will have to check against the server to see if its local copies are still up to date. Those count as document reads as far as I know.

      @@Frank_van_Puffelen Thanks Puff! Just to rephrase, I meant to ask this : if a client has not gracefully unsubscribed and any updates(while the client is still offline), the server assumes that the client is still online and charges for those pushed changes?

    just a suggestion, @ 7:48 you show again the question on the bottom of the screen although you have already shown it before, instead of that can you put a summary of the answer instead of the question again? I think it would be more helpful to us to understand the answer, im having trouble sometimes to understand the answer when you explain it, sometimes it is much easier to read a summary of the answer complimented by the explanation in speech, some youtube videos implement this technique such as WIRED - Gordon Ramsay Answers Cooking Questions From Twitter | Tech Support

    Is it possible to check for usage leaks for firebase realtime db, because i have simple digital screen app and refreshing it every 2 mins 24/7, and final result is around 2-4 gb bandwith? or maybe there is another way to back to front page and not refresh the firebase listeners again after time interval?

    • @areebjamaliam
      @areebjamaliam 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why are you even refreshing/polling it. That's what you don't do when you have Realtime listeners

      @@areebjamaliami have very complicated project where i write crawler in JS and need refresh to get data from other website "student timetable", which is connected to another document in Google drive CSV document with consultation timetable to match teacher names and then create item list for search. I Know that is really bad when data is in 10 places but here is real life story without normal API or Software to get college data.

    #AskFirebase When are the OR, IN, CONTAINS, and more logical conditions are going to be available in Firestore. It really limits the usability, adds more work on the front-end to filter the data incoming from the queries, and can add up costs because we need to get more docs from the cloud and filter them on the front-end.

    Would be great to have firebase app with reports for ios and also receive weekly reports with most important metrics.
