I completely respect O Dogs opinion on the Marner situation but I’d have to completely disagree. Marner is literally the primary reason why Matthews has soo many goals this season. Matty is an elite goal scorer but Marner creates something out of nothing every shift. You don’t split up the best goal scorer in the league and one of the best passers in the league even if he’s been injured the past while. Also wouldn’t make sense to have both sets of wingers on both lines be the same hand. I’d do Domi- Matty- Mitch Bert-JT- Willy
We need AM to be able to score without relying on Marner, and we need Marner to generste without AM scoring off his assists. If we are in situations where wr need a goal, put them together. But playing them every shift is not taking advantage of what can be a 3-line punch.
Team is better off without Marner. Maybe he'll agree to be traded and they can get a decent return for him. Doubt he'll do that. More likely is that he'll hold the team for ransom to get another fat contract, and continue to be the jerk he is. I've heard leafs have to double the size of the dressing room in order to fit his ego,

Willy can run his own line and you’re sure as hell not putting Marner on the third line. He’s the most valuable player on the team

Most points each and every season he’s been on the leafs (minus one year and this year because of injury), he plays first PP and is the driver on our PP… look how bad our PP has been since he’s been out, he plays first like PK. Marner should absolutely be able to run his own line without AM. You say Colorado, I say Vegas. They had 4 lines that can go against any line in any situation. Once Marner is back, tryouts are for who is good enough to hang with Marner. Keefe already ran his test on the top 6. McMann-JT-Willy shut down the Barkov line when they were on the ice. Domi-AM-Bert line has been working very well lately. If Marner can drive a line that can match Florida's top line, we would be in a much stronger position when we play them (or Boston, even).

Marner deserves to be beside Matthews because they produce HUGE numbers together, including WINS. Reaves HAS to be an everyday player, NOT Gregor! Huge difference in what the opposing team CAN do with Reaves playing well, and he has over the past 5 games he's been in the lineup. HERE WE GO!
