Its comparable to like how sedans don't have the bench seats and column shifter. Yeah they still exist but they are nothing like the old days. In this case just like with the RTS how it was nice to be seated higher up while taking public transit. They looked better too the busses since all the mechanics could be hidden underneath the floor.
