Thanks man, and yeah I get it. When I was considering buying this one I had no idea which one to get I just needed a 35mm. I think this is the ASPH I. I thought it was the boky king but it’s not lol
@@BobbyAnwar Thanks for the quick answer. Im consudering switching from the Q2 to an M10 with a 35mm. Probably going for the apsh I as well. Yeah the bokeh king should be the V4 version i guess. But anyway: Nice Photos, i find the background seperation to be quite pleasing!
man , really dig the vibe of your videos and channel. 35mm is my go to. 50mm maybe not so much due to how tight it can be , but yeah, good stuff on your channel.
Thanks man really appreciate it! Yeah I am also a 50 guy but as I said in the video the 35mm has really stuck to the camera. I also use 90mm sometimes. Love the compression on longer focal lengths.
I used to use that lens almost exclusively on a M4-2 and is my benchmark street photography lens. There’s just something about its rendering that is special. Enjoy it thoroughly!
I totally agree with you about the rendering. There is definitely something going on there. I actually didn’t believe it at first but it’s very noticeable!
Great lens. And yes 35mm is just more versatile than 50mm. Always found the 50mm like a tele. Btw, try a 40mm like the Voigtlander 40mm f/1.4. Fantastic rendering. I have modified mine, so that it now shows the 35mm frameline on my M10. This is actually very close to the real image, since the Leica M frameline is a bit narrow compared to a 35mm lens. So the 40mm works great on the M10 when framing. You can try mine if we should meet in the Leica cph store at some point ;)
@@kieulannguyen1193 you have to file 1 mm of one of the "taps" on the lens mount with a needle file. I would suggest you Google it. There are some images on how to do it. But remember after this modification, the lens won't bring up the 40mm frameline on cameras like the Leica CL or Minolta CLE.
Oh! So it’s one specific model of the Sumi? Damn my bad, thought it was just the 35mm Summicron in general. I do love the bokeh of this lens though! :)
Nice Video Mate. Im always a bit confused about the different 35mm options. Are you using the ASPH I or ASPH II.

yes indeed! oh I would love to hear about your modification Jan?! And sounds amazing with the 40mm 1.4!
How did you modify your 40mm f/1.4 lens?
I have the 40mm Voitlander lens, single coated, modified to show 35mm framelines. Lovely lenses, and my most used on my M240

I like your photos, and nice review!
Thank you! appreciate it
Sorry but the King of bokeh refers to the summicron 35mm f2 version 4 pre aspherical :) This one renders really nice though!
