To be honest, I've stopped listening to deathcore these days, for the most part, because I've gotten a bit bored of it due to how samey it sounded for me at the time, and because I've been delving into more progressive rock/metal bands these days. But damn... Brand of Sacrifice made me wanna listen to deathcore again. This song is not only brutal, and heavy, but also fun and exciting! And yeah I agree, I like how they're including choruses now in their songs, even though they still change it up for the other sections still, especially the breakdown, where you'd expect another chorus, but nope - a deathcore rave party! And I love it. And since we're on the deathcore subject, please check out the band The Last King - with their newest track "Aberration". I found out about them recently via ya boys from TrueShot. And damn, they have such an interesting and unique sound as well as great songwriting and production chops. It's hard to put it into words, you just have to listen to them to see what I mean! And last but not least... M O I S T

M O I S T. You should definitely check out Krosis - Duplicity. These guys are one of the best and most talented progressive deathcore bands out there. they're also mad underrated
That album is crazy good. They somehow manage to make every single track feel different and have something unique about them while still sticking to the sound that they have perfected
Yeah I've seen them play opening show three times but with this album I'm pretty sure they were like we're not we're not opening show anymore we're the headliner and boy am I excited to see where it goes.
I think the thing I really like about brand of sacrifice is the symphonic choir moments they add especially in their breakdowns for example like the breakdown in eclipse, they bring a whole new atmosphere to deathcore, A sort of doomsday apocalyptical end of the World type of vibe, and honestly they are up there with heavy hitters like shadow of intent
You should definitely check out their 2nd band "Earthshatter". A lot of Earthshatter vibes in this song. "Earthshatter - 1135" is my 2020 ep of the year

Yes it won't just fade away and most if not all don't die off, but the either go on in the background or become "eh" and we deal with them recurringly with little worry. Also I don't think covid will be pushed behind us at the end of this year, but maybe we can travel again in a year 🤔

And I hate this pychotic/satanic image they try to sell all the time. Less is just more sometimes, why can't they keep it simple?
I get what your saying about the whole demonic aspect, however, for BoS it makes more sense. Most of their songs are based on the (very) Dark Fantasy manga series Berserk. Check it out if you haven't, the story is phenomenal.
