When stocks get volatile, up and down like a yoyo, it often means accumulation for a coming move to the upside, investors get fooled by this and sell prematurely, bigger players move it down to shake out weak hands, silver acting same way, big players make gains on down side and upside, stay away if you lack patience in this regard.
