No internet access windows 10? So you did a fresh install of windows and now you are getting error Ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration unidentified network? well don't worry. i will show you step by step on how to fix and resolve this common problem.

i just turn off pc flip power switch so pc receive no power hold power button and hold power button to flush caps, then turn on pc it works for some reason.

@@bharatthami5008 take out the cable and put it back if it doesn't work then do this, connect your pc it shows the ip thing then what you have to do is reset the router so go to your router and don't just take out the power what you have to do is press the button which says "reset" on top of it hope this fixes your problem

After installing the new drivers and everything i downloaded the drivers again yet it’s still saying ethernet doesn’t have a a valid IP adress
I have an X201 Thinkpad. The ethernet has a yellow triangle in it on DM, I've tried everything and can't get it to work. There appears to be no available Windows 10 drivers for it.

Careful if unsinstalling the network driver, you will need a second device with internet connection to download the drivers from.

FYI: Do not delete your driver unless you saved it first and you will need another computer too. Don’t say I didn’t tell you.

Hey guys I did all this and nothing worked, I unplugged my cable modem and router for a minute and plugged them in, then everything started working.

@@imrib3r160 right click on device manager and click scan for hardware changes which will be the only thing that will show and it will bring back the driver uninstalled then you know what to install.

When you're updating drivers you can check to see what drivers you used before in the "events" tab .. then right click the driver in device manager and show more drivers, choose the one that events showed last ..
@Britec09 hi, I appreciate the effort you put into making a tutorial to help others. Unfortunately for me in my windows 10, once I followed the first two steps, my network status hasn't been working at all, like if it is "Not connected" no matter what I do. And I keep getting an error code "The operation failed as no adapter is in the state pernissible for this operation" once I use the command prompt at 3:46. And it's like my Network Adapter is completely curropted, like it has the symptoms of my Ethernet cable being disconnected, but the lights in the port light up good, and I retired everything, then tried a different approach, where I reseted the computer, turn it off for a while, got the program "driveridentifier" did an offline scan, installed the new drivers that it recommended for me about the Network Adapter, then I repeat all of the steps with the new Network Adapter drivers and still no luck :p

Alessandro Vilucchi interestingly this is the last video i watched to fix my computer, if i recall correctly it has something to do with opening my motherboard and now i can only access short-distanced wifi range (like putting my laptop next to a router)

How do I know when the 'ipconfig/renew' command is finished? It just says Windows IP Configuration, but no command prompt.

Great video, my only criticism is don't say go ahead and restart your computer and then add another step before you restart. People following this tutorial will hit reset before they flush the DNS.
I will not follow you again, I changed up address following your videos to speed up my computer Then tried to follow this one and got to need another computer. Nevermore.

Though it wasn't without issues....at the point where you said the PC would show "network connected", mine still showed "unknown network"...and prior to that when you walked me thru the CMD commands, I wasn't getting any IP address assigned to the PC at all where you were.....still I muddled thru....
I went thru all your steps thru replacing the driver and....NOTHING!
Then I remembered that when I first started having the issue, I turned my virus protection (AVAST) to "offline mode" thinking that would somehow help disable AVAST for the fix....WRONG!!!
Once I turned this mode OFF again, all was well!

I am having the issue of the Intel Killer Performance suite will not complete install due to the Wireless Drivers. I have uninstalled the wireless drivers and the wireless adapter, however still get the same error. Any Ideas?

Edit: ok so i eventually got it to work about a week or 2 later, i guess for me my router literally kinda just exploded ob the inside. It was an "older" model from 2014 i think, and i guess it got too old? Literally what the guy from our service said and just told us he would give our family 2 router just cause

@@ZoneDiem I turned off my computer and unplug the router for 5mins and rechecked ipconfig /all in cmd. The default gateway ip is missing. I end up turning off the pc, power down the router and unplug both (TP-LINK ) powerline adapters. Did a power down reset making sure there's good connection. Plugged everything in and it started working again.

This is usually a router issue and simply unplugging it for 30 seconds or so should take care of it

PrinceWULFE did you make sure to run it under admin? If it happens under admin it might read “no operation can be performed on Ethernet while its media is disconnected” then you gotta troubleshoot other solutions

@@luisagra385 I figured out how to fix it for me at least. I just shut down my router for 5 min and when you start it again it gets a new IP.
Always forget how to do this when my internet is having trouble, but this sure helps every time! Thanks man

I’ve done everything in this video up to 3:43, after I put that command in it says “ an error occurred while releasing interface Ethernet: an address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint”. I’m not sure what to do at this point, I’ve tried 3 Ethernet cables, reset my pc, took it into a pc repair place and it worked completely fine there, but at home my computer is the only thing that can’t stay connected to the internet, we’ve tried the Ethernet cables on other computers and it works, and everyone else has no issue with the internet.

@@ZoneDiem what i have to do to make my pc work is unplug the cord from the router for like 20-30 seconds and put it back in, unplugging it from the wall and resetting it didnt work, if i dont unplug it for about 30 seocnds, then i cannot connect to the internet, hope this helps.

Hello i am using win 10 .and i am having the same unidentified network problem "doesn't have a valid ip"..but i am able to use my home ethernet sucessfully..the problem occurs only when i connect to my college ethernet ....and there is no issue in college's ethernet as it works fine for my friends pcs ..it only occurs at my pc even my all drivers are updated..

For those of you who do not have a second computer, just tether your phone to the PC via USB or Bluetooth tethering to download the drivers to that troubled machine. Also it's always a best bet to watch a video through all the way before following the instructions folks.

All you have to do is under Device Manager, Network Adapters, Right click and Scan for hardware changes and it'll come right back up.

Marlena Martin this did d not work, especially after a restart after uninstalling. Anyone know where I can manually reinstall? When I did uninstall it asked if I wanted to delete the driver files and I said no.

I’ve had this problem multiple times and it continues to occur every so often. I’ve fixed it myself through various methods. The easiest fix I found was contacting my ISP and having them guide me through the process of re connecting me to the internet. Hope this helps someone in the future that also haves this problem. :)

@@najamsci2460 Do you have a working phone you are able to use? and do you pay for your internet services? If yes, I suggest getting a hold of your "ISP" (i.e. Rogers, Bell, etc) and having them guide you through the process of re connecting to the internet. It may take an hour or two on the phone depending on your situation, and the agent you speak with, but overall they should be able to find success in fixing your problem, and getting you back online.

That's definitely odd, but like I said, I recommend getting in touch with your ISP if you have access to your modem/router and having a technician guide you through the process of re enabling your ethernet connection. Sometimes it's just better to ask a professional for help, and I am by no means a professional.

After having the same problem, none of these tips worked for me.
I ended up logging into my sky router and changing from 'gigabyte ethernet' to 'fast ethernet' and boom, it worked

please help me, ive done everything in this video and it worked for a day but stopped again and now none of the above steps help anymore, reckon my ethernet adapter faulty (physically)?
I use the short way, in w7 , modify nic parameters, if ip assigned, then turn to dhcp, if dhcp, then i assign an ip to see it connects. then shutdown pc, restart. assign dhcp or fixed ip depending. that's it. cheers!

i got this problem and had tried everything on this tutorial. To fix it i had plugged the ethernet cable into the TV ethernet instead of PC on my router

It will be specific to your motherboard

Just manually add IP, DNS, Subnet mask, Gateway in Ipv4 and problem solved.
