I liked that tag photo of members of the SF Bay area HA and Richmond Rooster's Shovelhead chopper. That was one of my favorite feature bikes from Choppers magazine. The lady knows how to create some neat art. That Sporty chop has never looked better. Good luck on the 2 Shovel projects. Mike and The Moonpies sounded great!
Having my Evo Sportster for over 20 years I was surprised to see that you were building a rigid Sportster but I am glad to see it. I hate it when people say a Sportster is a transitional bike because it is a great bike and its own standing with a great history and a fantastic racing history to boot. It is not a learner bike it is a bike unto itself.
My 1999 evolution Sportster has almost 400,000 miles on her on the original engine. The primary as well is all original except for the new stator which wore out when the bike was 20 years old and had 250,000 miles on her. She has been more reliable and dependable then any motorcycle I have she has outlasted any Japanese motorcycle I have bought. Runs cool 😎 as a cucumber in Florida in August to up. Oil temperature run around 200 degrees. Runs good and I will probably get a million miles on her before I need to do something mechanical. I hate it when people complain about vibration from Richard bounds sportsters and it's like I still have all of the original sheet metal and nothing vibrates off like on my buddies hot-rodded Sportster. What Harley-Davidson calls a Sportster today is an insult to a real Sportster. Amen.
You should put a Kickstart on that Sportster. When I kick start one of my vintage bikes at a party and everyone is filming me on their phone I tell them this is the way you start a real motorcycle 🏍️.
hope you guys give a fixed quote when buildin a bike , not an hourly rate, watchin you fuck around tryin to put that shovel motor in that other frame while leavin bolts in , thats the sort of shit i do 😂😂😂
I think you’re wrong about Sportster‘s being the best motor. They are definitely a great motor and they’re my number two motor but I think the shovel heads are so much better basically a sportster motor with the transmission cut off but either way they’re both great motors made by the best bike makers in the world Harley Davison. And the bikes that you guys make are great Also, I enjoy watching you guys make those bikes

You just a motor in laying on its side, why not do it again
It works great that way for sportsters, but big twins go in easiest upright. Plus we like a challenge haha
cool
Sportster Motors are still the best
can't beat an evo sportster!!
Click bait
