    In the last 5 years I have lived two different lives it seems. Quite wild to sit back and think about. I hope this video answers some questions...and if it makes more questions leave a comment.
    I apologize if I ever came across as rude or angry when answering questions about why the content changed or what happened to the builds. Many people were jerks about it and go straight to insults because they don't like NASCAR to something. It made me mad obviously... Tone is hard to interpret over written words and I may have assumed some comments/messages were hostile when they were not intended to be. I wish some people could express disappointment without reverting to hostility. Obviously I would like to do it all at once...but time is the enemy of everyone. I have to be strategic in where to invest my effort to move life in the direction I ultimately want to be in. Those of you who have stuck around for it I appreciate you greatly.
    I am looking forward to racing again both circle track and at the drag strip with Uncle Rob's new built motor and bigger turbo. Speak up in the comments! I want to know who you are and how long you have been following us!

      @@RyanDoesAlllife does trail off sometimes. I used to watch every new video the day it came out. Lately, I haven't had time for that. I've spread myself too thin, and life seemed to have got me in a rut I couldn't get out of, and I continued with digging that rut by adding more to it. Not just with the projects, but with life in general. At one point I had 4 project trucks, a project car that has been on a long term back burner, and a driver that needs an engine. If I couldn't make big progress, I wasn't happy, and my poor 30x60 shop was packed to the gills. 2 of the project trucks are gone, one of them was pulling double duty as a project and a shop truck. So I purchased a beater truck to fill the shop truck duties, and I'm going to fight myself to do the bare minimum to keep it functional and safe. Since clearing things unneeded out, the feeling of accomplishment on small tasks is coming back. That tells me I'm headed in the right direction.

    The builds are why i subscribed way back when you had 13k subs, and im still here and liking the Nascar History stuff...... but DAMN MAN do i EVER miss these builds, the fun you had doing it, and the jokes and banter you used to have.....i feel like it was just about to take off like a rocketship as a builds channel too with the amazing builds you have and friends you made form being genuinely fun to watch and be around!! i wish you had spun off the channel and done it on the side more. Also The Escalade could still be the first in the 8s if you get after it too lol and its such a damn monster, and way better than when i saw you run the mid 9 in tulsa!! Might be time to hire a mechanic or another person to advance these things on the side?

    • @Stapleton42
      @Stapleton42 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      I have thought about hiring someone and maybe I’m a bonehead for this but I don’t want someone else to build my stuff for me. It’s not the same feeling to accomplish the job when I don’t know the vehicle inside and out.
      I could outsource help with specific tasks and repair work. but I could never hand off the build itself it just wouldn’t feel right. The satisfaction wouldn’t be there.
      That’s when I realized my potential would be capped by pursuing that “build channel” format with the channel. I can’t build stuff just for the sake of doing it because people will like it. I have to have a legitimate attachment to have internal satisfaction for the process and did not want to ruin that…
      I realized I am passion driven at my core…and I become unhappy when I allow other influences to steer the ship.

    • @Shadow0fd3ath24
      @Shadow0fd3ath24 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Stapleton42 while i get the idea behind that, passions can and DO change when progress is made in life, especially if you just take the initiative to try it...thats what cleetus, Westen, Demoranch, Cboys, PFI, Boostedboiz, and many others have realized was just a silly hangup...i think the stuff getting done at all and being able to use these cars AT ALL (with you helping occasionally)would do so much more for you and the channel than it just sitting there collecting dust for YEARS. Im here for it all, but damn those are cool builds
      The passion you would feel from the tons of fun and content it owuld provide, would FAR outweigh the "i struggled to finish this thing that just needs charge pipe and a power steering pump after 3+ years due to not wanting anyone else to lay a finger on it"........trust me! I used to be the same way and have seen SOO many other guys change from that as well, with their passion growing, and their channels FLOURISHING the past few years

    • @stapleton42extra
      @stapleton42extra  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      My passion did change you’re right. I realized I could go race in nascar one day and that’s more exciting to me than doing what I used to do.
      The Escalade needs more work than that to be right. It needs to have the Holley system installed and everything rewired. Even if I wanted to keep the ms3pro in there put the transmission back in and drive it tomorrow, I have no desire to use it. If it ran right now it’d still be parked there.
      My point is I cannot manufacture the desire and genuine enthusiasm for something and I do not want to try. That’s acting and I don’t want to be an actor.

I moved to Mooresville straight out of HS to purse a career in NASCAR. From 2016-2021 i worked for 4 different teams, won races in all series from Cup to ARCA, Cup Championship in 2018, all looked good on paper.. But it wasnt the same sport you and i grew up loving. Dude, Bringing you up in a conversation was kinda like a weapon. I’d eventually say something like “you ever heard of Stapleton?” I mean it was normally no, unless it was a younger guy, i was 18 at the time and usually spoke with old heads about this. I’d then show them the Escalade, when it was black, making a pass and they would go silent. Then id show them the Escalade after it was painted… and then kinda lecture them on who designed the LS platform and why, and they’d just say either it’s too complicated (wires) or it’s too expensive😂

I am amazed and impressed with the amount of thinking/calculating/researching you do and the tremendous effort you put in to all you do.

    I was one of the OG's I still have the notes written by you from T-shirts I bought long before Logan was writing them. The t-shirts are gone but the notes will live on. I was interested in you and what you were doing as it was different to everyone else. The bus work, the car builds even the late night rambling monologues from the Texas space. I tried to get into the NASCAR history stuff but being in the UK NASCAR was never a thing. I have plenty of history on old racing from the Bentley boys to F1 and living 2 miles from Silverstone and 12 miles from Santapod that history is around me every day. I have friends who have worked for GT series,Lemans, Historic,Touring Car, F1and WRC teams so the stories of bending the rules are the same as the NASCAR stuff. Motorsport is all about the grey areas and always will be.
    At the end of the day man you earn your money from TH-cam views so you have to do what you have to do to survive. Im still subscribed but the History for me is not relevant the builds transcend the different countries as building cars is building cars. I watch when I see something that interests me now where as before I watched it all because it was so varied and showed the true life of a content creator.

    I believe I found your channel with the Rolls. Maybe alittle before (I had to create a new account because YT doesn't like some truths being talked about on here so they deleted me, twice). But I've stayed with you because I believe we have alot of the same intrests in racing history and seeing that racing history preserved for future generations. I also want to see you and Logan both succeed. Money's been tight so all I can do right now is give of my time watching and with likes an commenting on every video.
    I'll see the thumbnail and title and sometimes not know who they are. But after the video I know that I'll never forget them. You're a very good story teller and you ask the questions that we don't normally get to hear about. Plus, the hidden memorabilia that very few people have ever seen. *Most of these Men in your videos are a hidden Treasure and they deserve a spot light on them.* I'm not looking for perfectly made video just intresting ones and that's what we get.
    I don't know if youtube Shorts are worth making and if you do make them I don't get notifications for em. Shorts might get you out to more people like us that value the good ol days and their stories.
    *I just want to say Thank You for all the good work and sacrifices you and Logan have both made to bring us these videos and for capturing history and memories for future generations 🇺🇸🏁.
