Islam is definitely growing in Japan. Many Japanese always have had a concept of "Kami-sama", which is attributed to the one God and creator. Having more translation of the Qur'an in their native language is key, as it nourishes and explains the fitrah they already have in their heart. In fact I have seen they even have outdoor public Salat areas now and are building Masjids. I want to teach there, and am glad they have a higher demand for Halal food and worship. Allah hu akbar
I agree with most of what you said just want to ask what do you mean kami sama is attributed to the one god when they have no concept of one god they literally have thousands of gods and they use kami sama for all of them? kami also means god not the one god, Can you correct me if i am wrong

Yes they have a belief in "Kami" and "Oni" in folklore etc. However, "Kami-Sama onegai" is often coined when one is seeking aid from the "creator of all"; an intimate saying and way of asking for help from the "highest power" in times of anxiety or hardship. Historically and culturally, deities for them could have been akin to their views of Angels and Jinn. No doubt they have roots and Fitrah in belief of an ultimate creator, many Japanese converts have expressed so.

So yeah I think The Supreme God is not that much of an alien concept to them. They refer to Him as kami-sama or just kami, depending on the context.

He actually talking about innovation in Islam that most of our imam in masjid did, such as berdoa secara berjemaah lepas solat. Selepas berdoa, berselawat beramai² dan bersalaman antara jemaah which are not from sunnah of our prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam (even though it looks good). Another example of innovation in deen (bid'ah) that we in Malaysia used to is reciting surah yaseen on every Friday night which is not example from our prophet and any sahabah radiallahu anhum.
If you tell those action are not from Islam, of course many people will disappointed because they used to do this since many² years ago.
May Allah forgive us and give us taufiq in understanding the deen in correct way as the way as salafus shalih.

To me I don't see any harm in doing that, it's just an activities that you can do together in Masjid and not any added activities to already existed compulsory prayer. You can choose to do or not to do it. Btw this is just my 2 cents. I don't mean to be disrespectful to anyone.
@@cathyjah1539 there is actually a very dangerous thing in those innovated practices because present and later generations would think that it is part of Islam because their ancestors had been doing it since time immemorial. Read how shaytan trapped the people of Prophet Nuh: he made for them little statues of pious men for them to remember the good deeds of those pious men but the later generations, he was able to make them think that their ancestors did worship those statues to the extent that even Prophet Nuh for 950 years of dawah was not able to change their belief about those statues.
bidah/religious innovations are so dangerous because you would not repent from the because you are made to think that it is okay to do them.

What i noticed is that the Malaysian brother is a good example of man who follow prophet mohammad because of the way he teaches his wife about islam and how he wants her to be with him in the life and after life as well.
And i also noticed that his wife is a good example of muslim woman who like her husband to have rewards with her,especially when she was happy for her husband getting the rewards with her from her conversion into islam and from him teaching his wife about islam.

Sadly a lot of Malaysian men cheat on their wife here. My family has like 4 divorces and my stepfather is cheating on my mom. My father had divorced 3 times and marrying someone new now who is 20 years younger than him.

He heyy, same here bruh. The Predestination thing have been staying on my mind for 6 years now. I've done research where it gets more and more complicated especially Jabbariya and Qaddariya feud, and now it is far more complicated in my mind after one day i discover a sura from Qur'an which said an Angel wrote everyone's fate while they're still in the womb and ask Allah whether they're doomed or saved.
I even tried to draw variables on it. And includes any Surah or Hadith that related with it, i have asked my father, uncles, local imams, none of them have the answer.
Recently i discover something that might have a light to that topic, it's The Fairness of Allah, Good Intention, and Sidratul Muntaha.

Islam is embedded in everyone. It's hidden behind culture, traditions, conscience, day to day stuff. It just takes a bit of listening and understanding to bring it out to a point where people come to that realization.

I am not agreed with Syeikh Uthman but i am enjoyed by his dakwah.
But we are still muslims.
Maybe for you,to make a circle after solah, chanting a selawat for prophet Muhammad and shaking hands between the jemaah is a bidaah.

For younger person...it can be a 'burden'...we all know how it is...we go thru it in our life...
But when you old...really old...I've noticed how old folks hanging around JUST waiting for death...no purpose, feeling worthless...
But not in Islam...the 5 times prayer...here the beauty of it....you can't wait for the time, you look at the clock, you look forward for the time to come so you can do your praying and worshipping God.

I want to go to Japan in the future, but it's pretty tough for foreigners, especially Muslim ones like us, to live in Japan because food, language, culture and traditions - as much as they may seem very similar.

@@TussalDragon344 well I used to watch anime and study the language on TH-cam from a very young age so I caught on to it quite quickly, I’m pretty sure u wouldn’t need to learn the whole language just to hold a basic conversation would be sufficient. And also when it comes to food there’s a couple halal spots opening around and they have a vast vegetarian selection of food and even sushi which is very common and good to eat for us Muslims. I personally would love to live in japan for dawah purposes as I have always loved the people and language and food. But each to their own I guess.
