Casey thank you for sharing 👍 It is off topic but your “About the author” banner image in the Conclusion of the post reminded me about unsolved problem with Medium, which is **how to attach link to the image uploaded into the Medium post (not via the caption text under the image, but a clickable link that is attached to image itself.)** The use case for that is adding a photo of product/service with clickable hyperlink attached to it inside Medium post. I mean, it is easy to do inside Wordpress, and it is definitely possible at Medium, but I could not figured out how to do it. Are you familiar with this functionality of the Medium? Can you please explain, how to do it ? Thank you!
Try clicking on the image in draft mode, press “ctrl + k” and a hyperlink box should appear. You can then enter the link into this box, and after republishing article, when someone clicks on the image, they will be redirected to wherever you choose to send them via this link.

Sshhhhhut up! 😁😉 I have been doing this for a while. I have a website and I post articles on Medium. It doesn't matter how bad the articles are on Medium, they still rank very high on Google. My articles on my site are much better, but rank lower.
Haha yeah the video is not about Medium’s extremely high DA (although that’s a good point!)-it’s on ways to specifically drive traffic from Medium posts to third party blogs (as opposed to trying to rank leveraging DA).
