They make your light attack chains significantly faster & with styles like chronos and handslow you can make m1 strings absurdly fast, when you do it with chronos its like youre in focus mode. The way to do this is learn the end lag with the chain punches and when you land a hit you think “one” or “punch” and immediately press light again. You can get accustomed to timing to the point you dont have to think with it. Also it makes bullets m1 chain even faster so its not boring.

about the focus ult, if you want a kill with it, you have to use it on 49% or below, it deals 55% normally, but it doesn't kill at half for some reason

I think an update REALLY, REALLY slows down your opponent's attacks. To balance that out (if it got added), your initial time in focus is much lower than it is now, BUT perfect dodges and counters can regenerate some meter (not much).
