    So, Melanie got Eric to end her stepfather's life on unverified statements of abuse and she threw him under the bus at the first chance? Nice!

    • @balletshoes
      @balletshoes 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, and as mentioned in the video Eric's town's folk thought that the murder was justified - all they knew was that a teenager claimed she was abused. I personally believe she lied. She was in love with that Eric guy but because he didn't like her romantically she concocted this ludicrous story of abuse to get his attention. Some girls would do that - they believe that if the man sees them as a victim his heart would turn and he would fall for them.

    Seriously..some random person phones to ask your child to babysit .. laughs when you ask his name ..you don't ask for the address or phone number.. tell your child only go If the wife picks her up ... ?
    Sadly what was Pamela mother thinking?
    Though my heart breaks for the loss of her daughter ... 8 just don't understand her thought process 😢😢

      Think about it! Lots of kids and adults offered services via the boards of neighborhood businesses. Very likely to have strangers as customers.

      Human trafficking isn't understood by lots of people who can't fathom it. A TON of mothers trafficking their kids. But we pretend males are the scary ones. Mostly because the pedos in law enforcement protect the shit out of the "mothers" who produce more victims.

      I agree. And while it may have been a different time then, one of great trust and perhaps naivety, basic human instinct still existed. Although Pamela's mother seemed a bit too unconcerned to our modern minds, her suspicions were raised enough for her to ask that Pamela only leave for the babysitting job with a woman. She knew something felt off. Was that protection enough? Obviously not. And no doubt, Pamela's mother lived with guilt all her days thereafter.

    I'm from NH and never heard of this one, so this was super interesting for me. The cops were SO insistent on insisting that Rena committed suicide that I'm wondering if a cop did it (even though Coolidge seems to be the likely suspect)

  • @rashone2879
    @rashone2879 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    I don’t understand the point of the beginning of this story about the two girls who were murdered. Rena’s death sort of blown off….also, troublesome as always that people will condemn another person on accusations never proved (Melanie’s about Danny abusing her), never reported…they may well have been true, but still, disturbing to realize how many people are ready to take justice into their own hands and fully support someone who does. At the same time, I’ll admit there are cases where multiple people are victims if one man’s viciousness, tins if evidence, but the guy keeps getting away with it….and it seems time for citizens to take their own action to stop the person. Life is complicated, one can see competing sides of a situation, boundaries get blurred. Life gets messy.

    • @clasmath
      @clasmath ปีที่แล้ว +7

      because Ed Coolige was suspected of also murdering Rena? And so they added the context of why by providing the fact he did murder two other women. Don't see how that was hard to grasp.

    • @Loralanthalas
      @Loralanthalas ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep. Wjen it comes to murder caeses everyone ever murdered was a wonderful person that will be missed. No asshole has EVER been murdered. And no one ever lies on the stand. Certainly no kne has EVER lied to protect family members. Its so fucking annoying.
      And even knowing we have over 8% on death row retried and set free as innocent there are ALWAYS comments where somone WANTS to kill the alledged murder because somehow that will help ALL the murdering in general.

    Hospital isn't a concept. It's an actual physical place. You are not taken to "hospital". You are taken to "a hospital" or "the hospital". Also, you don't reach "breaking point". You reach "the breaking point". It's a defined point. What is it with not using articles?

      "He went to hospital" is like saying "He went to college." In "American" we say the 2nd one but not the first one.
