Great video. I just graduated from West Virginia university with a sport management degree. Currently getting my masters in business while substitute teaching and coaching football. Been in contact with multiple local ads about helping out/ shadowing. Hope I’m doing enough
Hello, Thanks for the informative video. I am looking at careers in sports management and I was wondering if you could continue this series, specifically would you be able to speak on whether it's logistically possible to really make it as a sports agent; and also are there any careers within sports management on the college side where you are working with the team, but also have the opportunity to still watch games. Thank you.
Thanks for the video!! I just have a couple questions I was hoping you could answer. I recently enrolled back to school for my Bachelors in Sports management and would love to be the athletic face of a program. I'm young, energetic, driven, and have a leading demeanor to me. My questions are 1) What is the work-life balance like? I am a father and want to pursue a career in something i love and am passionate about but don't wanna miss out on too much. 2) Are online sports management degrees honored like campus degrees? I'm excited to begin this journey and finally doing something for myself for a change. I'm staying optimistic and I know this is the area I belong in. Thanks again!
Online degree are just as good. It more about experience and your network than it is where you got the degree. For work life balance, sports defiantly has lots of evening and weekend hours but for a high school AD there is defiantly time for family. Many get less hours in the summer. It's also important to delegate work you can to allow you to have a balance.
Hello is my first time being an athletic Director for a charger what should I expect if you have any words revise he’s OK thank you so much really enjoyed your TH-cam video
If also want to an athletic director. Which course would be more suitable and long time beneficial, MBA in Sports Management or Msc in Sports Management
Hi Everyone, So I am currently pursuing my 4 bachelors in Sports science, and I am very sure I want to make career as a Sports Athletic Director, can some assist me with some useful certification and master option, what I hear is NCSA certificate is recommended but not sure which one, secondly for masters what would be better option sports management or sports administration?. Thank you Advance.
Hello, When u were requesting to intern at your local high school, who did your reach out to at the high school to gain permission to do so. Was it the athletic director, principal, superintendent, etc.?
I personally reached out to the athletic director as I already had relationship with him as the volleyball team I am an assistant coach for is in the same school. I would recommend reaching out to the athletic director also as they are the one who you were going to work closely with and they’re the ones who decide if they actually need an intern. You may also need to talk to the principal or superintendent to get full approval but that would depend on the school.
Thank you so much!
