If you use the top/lid from a peanut butter jar or mayonnaise jar you can easily scrape the ice and snow off of your windows, back glass and windshield. Flip the lid over to the side that screws onto the jar. Use that side as your scraper. It's awesome and easy. Just throw one in the glove box and you'll have it when needed.

That building and other vehicles may cut down on some of the wind . The hooded sweatshirt is a big plus to keep warm , as well as layers . Try a polar rated sleeping bag . We did below zero camping in tents . Staying dry goes a long way . Good Luck .
