I honestly think that Alex Danvers’s coming out story is the best coming out story I’ve ever seen on TV, it just shows the fears in coming out and it shows how people really react and the way people understand the fact that they are gay and just everything, it’s so well written, so realistic.
Paul Thomas I agree, her coming out and realizing she’s gay is so realistic and the acting is so good that she even made me question my sexuality. And respect for chyler cause this is amazing and her acting is so good
Alex's coming out was so relatable, I did exactly the same thing of looking back on my childhood and just realizing how gay I was without even knowing it lmao
Everyone talking about Alex's coming out, but for me personally I think Elena's is the best. I just think Penelope's actress does really well. It's such a lovely mother/daughter relationship
@@veronicaproctor184 I think the same, as good as Alex's coming out is (Don't get me wrong it's phenomenally well done) for me it has nothing on Elena's for me. I think it's because I relate to it, and Elena so much
My personal favorite is Emily’s because it’s so realistic. When I came out the similar thing happened except my dad is more accepting and doesn’t care, my mom (I think) thinks it could be a phase, and my grandma thinks it’s disgusting.
i absolutely love emily’s coming out. she has been hiding it for such a long time and is so brave to tell her dad. she deserves love, happiness and the world ♥️
Same. When maggie and alex started dating I kinda became obsessed about them, and then it hit me and I was like “maybe I do like girls.” They really helped me understand and embrace it.
My favorite coming out scenes : Elena from one day at a time, Zoe from Degrassi, Fiona from Degrassi, Santana from Glee (when she confessed to Britney), Sophie from Coronation Street
i'm bi but same. i still watch twilight to this day bc of kristen stewart. and I used to fake to my mom it was bc of taylor lautner lmao (i'm bi but am very disgusted by most men)

The classic pretty little liars coming out. This show actually (kind of sadly) helped me find out or made me start to question that I was gay. I never really liked the show that much but I continued to watch it cause I was so intrigued about Emily and her being gay and stuff. I remember I couldn't even watch the girls kiss each other and I would turn my head away. Damn I came far.
Please make a part 2 including Santana Lopez (Glee), Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn 99), Clarke (The 100) talking to her mom about Lexa, Piper Chapman (Orange Is The New Black)
Santana and Kurt coming out scene in Glee, Alex Danvers in Supergirl, and Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars are just one of the best coming out moments on tv. The scenes were emotionally and beautifully portrayed. I've never seen so much of myself in a character before and they literally made an impact to a lot of people.
and now, years later, even Chyler Leigh references 0:00 - 3:35 in her own coming out story. she is so amazingly strong and this scene has even more meaning than before ❤
Takes guts to come out. I would know. I’m a lesbian. Coming out has always been hard for me until just lately. I’ve been coming out since I was 13. I’m 17 now.
damn :( First time I "came out" (my parent's went through my phone and found out) I was 13 and now I'm almost 17 and they like to pretend I'm not gay 🧘
Yeah. Kara felt so bad Alex ran away the last time, and the whole scene seemed very sisterly. I liked that Kara had questions, and stuff like that. It was special, and the couch scene made me cry
The Petra scene is sooo hilarious. It was missing in the Petra and JR playlist so I had never seen it until now. I’m laughing so hard. I love the Petra storyline so much.
Everyone talking about Alex, but I wanna say that the last one is pretty good too. It really shows how different parents can react and how they think about it. They might not agree with it, but most parents just don’t understand and want what’s best for their children.
You should check out Mariah Copeland's coming out scene from CBS The Young and The Restless. The actress Camryn Grimes won an Emmy last year for Mariah coming out in 2017. Look up Daytime Emmy reel for Camryn Grimes, it's one of the best coming out stories I've ever seen on TV. She's in love with a woman named Tessa their ship name is Teriah. There are some clips and music videos on here for them.

Emily's scene was an important one for me because I watched it when I was just starting to figure myself out Cheryl's is probably a pivotal one for me because at the time I was going through some major internalized homophobia, that began to break that
Definitely should have started with Willow from Buffy - none of the rest of these may have happened without it! Love these videos cause I don’t watch most of these shows. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Plus it shows an adult coming out story and not just a teen one that you always see on tv and movies.
