Naaalala ko pa nung mga bata pa kami, pag bumulaklak ang puno ng kape, sobrang bango ng paligid, sobrang bango talaga, at alam na alam mu na malapit na magbunga ulit ang kape, nakakalungkot lang kasi wala ng mga bagung generation ng cofee farmer na gustu magpatuloy, ung iba dn kasi nabenta na ang mga lupa, ung mga matatandang cofee farmer mga nagretired na at ung mga anak nila panay professional na, kaya bihira na lang nagppatuloy, ending binenbenta na lang ang lupa, buti may mga katulad pa ni sir na pinagppatuloy pa ang pag pa farm ng kape, God Bless you sir..
Naalala ko din nung mga bata pa kami isinasama kami ng Kaka namin sa kapihan nya at yung tuyong bulaklak ng kapi binabalot namin sa papel na sigarilyuhan at sinisigarilyo namin.LOL.

Taga mindanao ako sir malapit sa camp. Abubakar 1990's bata pa ako noon tatandaan ko ilang sako bawat taon hinaharvest nmin na coffee pero iba sa mga ngun na galing ibang bansa pa un tawag namin native coffee iba lasa kompara sa coffee ngun, pero kakalongkot lang kc pagka tapos ng geyera wala na naging taliman na ng mais ngun, pero pagdting sir balak ko ibalik yon.ang bango kc kompara sa mga coffee ngun.
mas maganda talaga kapag may alam tayo sa Agri.. lalo na sa lupa na gamit natin.. salamat sa pag share sir

Harvesting red does not automatically mean you are producing specialty coffee. You still subject it to proper processing, drying, green grading and cupping. You can only confirm if its specialty after you get the cupping score. From the looks of it, the farm and the coffee tree needs proper care and maintenance.

We encourage farmers to go back to coffee farming. As of now 70 percent of our local coffee consumption is imported while the 30 percent is locally produce.

Congrats sir! Your channel gives hope and inspiration to many Filipinos. I guess the 70% of import is Arabica coffee from neighbors like Indonesia, Vietnam and South America. Their production is massive and hard to match the price but with the support from the government agencies - DENR, DTI, Import/Export and local government it is doable to improve the coffee industry and bring our coffee to the global market. A lot of untouched highlands perfect for Arabica across the Philippines, the DENR should distribute them and check the ones that are not productive and abandoned.
@@OganicaBean yes thats why Philippines should concentrate more on the quality. We thank The Coffee Heritage Project for helping local coffee farms entered into AVPA Paris International Roasting Competition to make known that our local coffee beans is at par with world class quality.

Sa floatation tank, floaters are not necessarily immature coffee cherries, those are pest infested, defects and hollow cherries.

For them to transplant the coffee seedlings at that age, is not good. You pre-germinate the seeds and place it in tge bags so you do not have to uproot and replant the seedlings. That way you minimize destruction of the top root.

Sir Buddy, kya ng flo float yung coffee berry is because there is only 1 pc of seed inside. Half of the parchment is empty, or maybe the whole parchment. The bouyant force of water is higher than the weight of the berry.

That is very wrong...the coffee will not absorb the flavor of the intercrop. That cup quality and flavor profile of the coffee is a result of cultural management, agro-climatic condition, plant nutrition, and harvest and post-harvest processing. Di porket may citrus kang tinanim magiging citrus flavor na agad kape mo.
