Which one of these machines do you think I came home with?? 😅
Easy Z400 and its about god damn time you build one Mike !
The yxz
200X or they YXZ sideXside!! I want one with the Stick Shift! Find a Kawasaki Bayou 185 my lil cousin first quad!!
Z400 or yxz
Z400
I can't believe people let their machines go to waste like that. It's like walking through an animal shelter and all the animals are beaten
That's what I'm saying some people would kill to have those machines and they would have a ball on them
This is the sort of place you could walk through 10 times and still find something new. Lots of hidden gems 🤤
100%!
I’ve always found scrapyards mildly creepy. It’s an automotive graveyard essentially lol like you said, every one of them has a story. Hell, they most probably have a few stories 😂 it is crazy to see the sheer amount of them just rotting away tho. Just at the beginning of the video still and you’re checking out a side by side. Very surprised you haven’t done another!
I agree there's a creepy side. I've been wanting to do another side by side!
Honda 200SX is a fun little quad, the motor can use a 200X piston. They are light and have potential
*_Whaaaat a blast from the past right here!!!! Wow!_*
I remember the Mojave from ATV Offroad Fury. That took me back for a minute. Man I miss it. The late nights with friends, everyone bringing a tv and a PS2 to the sleepovers... It seems like a lifetime ago. Thank you for the tears and memories.
What a cool job would be to work there ! I’d be saving them as much as I could
For sure man! I don't think I could ever do it... I'd be like the fat guy working at McDonald's thats always eating the food 😂
@@MichaelSabo 🤣 Lmao perfect analogy ! You have got to be one cool ass dude to hang around. I’m so thankful for your channel bro!
@chadriddle3517 I appreciate that man; hopefully we can hang some day 👊
Me too
I worked at a big 4 dealer from 07-10. I fell in love with the Brute Force 750. They were so powerful compared to the other Japanese utility quads but a power steering 700 Grizzly was a very close second.
Pretty cool video. Glad to see some behind the scenes of PSN. I know my dad was given a 2011 Polaris Ranger 6x6 that was in rough shape and him and I built it up with a lot of parts sourced from PSN. Machine is still going and has been a work horse 💪🏻
Dude that's an awesome story! Thanks for sharing and for watching 🤘👊
@@MichaelSabo Thanks, keep the videos coming. Always great to see someone saving old machines that most see as junk.
Please build a ltz400 @michaelsabo
Other than being the backyard of some hoarder, I never knew ATV graveyards like this even existed. Unreal.
I remember going to the dealer with my father to pick up his brand new 1998 kawi kvf 400 prairie, that machine was an absolute weapon. Had it buried to the bars in mud countless times. Even spent the night in the woods a few times, had over 20,000kms on it when he finally got rid of it in 2013-14.
Rip Prairie, gone but not forgotten lol
Build a KFX700. They sound like a Harley when you upgrade the exhaust. They are really fun quads. Great for beginners or women honestly.
That Dinli 100cc was my first proper Quad as a kid. 2 stroke automatic. Sparked my love for anything with an engine. Great memories!
Do they buy them from customers, auctions, insurance? Some quality units there!
I have a black KLT200 just like the one in the beginning of the video! Totally OEM, sleeping away in my shed until I get the time to go through it. Another cool video 👍🏻
wow,luv this video and luv atv salvage yards!!thanks for posting!!!
My very first trip to the dunes at 13yo was in the backseat of a 660 rhino. It was an awesome trip but I suffered a concussion because my brother thought me bouncing around in the backseat was hilarious even tho I was bashing my head a lot lol. I was hooked instantly. We pulled in at night and when I woke up in the morning I was speechless at what I saw. Some of the best memories were at the dunes.
That first Polaris sportsman outside the fence is a Freedom Edition Sportsman 500… very cool one year only machine. Red and blue plastics with white decals. The graphics are “3d” verses just a sticker. Chrome wheels are factory. I had one as a kid it was my first ATV. Very little information online I believe they made scramblers and sleds too. Super awesome brought back some memories!
. i love your vids Always great to see someone saving machines keep up the good work
That moto 4 with the huge handguards would be a cool resto. I had a 225cc moto 4 when I was younger tough old machines!
Hey man love your content. In fact I watch your videos almost immediately anytime they come out. I can't believe some of the machines they got especially the school seat lol. I'm currently trying to rescue an 2002 Honda cr250r and eventually a Yamaha Kodiak that basically gonna be a restoration for the Kodiak.
Thank you for the love man! I don't know about the CR, but the Kodiak, PSN would definitely have parts for. Good luck with both of your rescues man!
That quad with the school seat and shifter and all that is a 250ex I think. You can kinda tell with the oil cooler location, the way the motor looks and it being a shaft drive.
I had a 95 bayou 220. Loved that machine. It was an absolute tank
So much potential in this lot!!!!
Your hands down one of the best quad YT channels....!
I have a 06 DVX400 and I'm tired of hard to find parts for , what quad brand would you recommend for parts availability.
I do like building and working on my own , I grew up working on car and diesel engines.
The DVX 400 is a Z400 with different plastic, seat, and gas tank. Everything for a kfx or z 400 will work on it. You can put the plastic on too but you’ll need the Suzuki/Kawasaki tank and seat.
I love junk yards. I could spend hours walking and thinking about what it would be like fully restored.
Hell yeah sabo, love the videos. Need a voodo banshee update.
Just came across your channel. Man I am 53 years old and what a blast from the past...👍👍👍 I had a 86 Yamaha TRI-Z 250 and Honda 350X trike. Boy how I miss waking up at 6:00 in the morning and going riding all day with my buddies. Man I miss those trikes 😢 I also had a 1984 Yamaha 225 DX shaft drive trike that was a blast as well. I remember riding in the pine barrens in New Jersey the whole day with no brakes. I just downshifted.. 😂
I got that exact yxz. Bought it wrecked put new cage on it
What a cool nostalgic video thanks for posting
Loved my 08 ltz400 se. I think you guys should do a cheap quad challenge and you all have to get a quad from the yard with a set price range. Love those videos.
Its crazy how far this channel has came from where it originated. Keep on kicking with the great uploads rAPPINeRNIE! ;)
32:10 old trail boss!!! I have 3 of them, got them refurbed for my kids... fast enough to be fun, slow enough to be safe
I rode the wheels off a 200x just like the one you showed at the beginning. Loved that thing!
Such a awesome experience bro glad you shared the experience with us
Glad you enjoyed it Dave! Didn't see any warriors... probably because they never break lol
@@MichaelSabo ak47 of the atv world
Four Wheeler names are like car names but more beastmode
This is one video that could never be long enough, I felt like I was actually there and couldn’t wait what was next, awesome awesome footage…. How about 2 strokes, any???
When I see cool vehicles in a junk yard, I always think “Why is this here? This is fixable.” Same thing is going thru my head watching this video.
A TRX700X would be a sweet build. Haven't seen many others build them up. Or ball out and get a KTM 525 quad. Or a Polaris outlaw with IRS.
Weird because so many of them quads look fixable. Especially a lot of them that aren't produced anymore, why aren't they fixed up. All those old sportsman's remind me of my childhood, every person I know had an older polaris sportsman. Really cool video man
Exactly what I was thinking brother.
My father still owns one of those really early model Arctic Cat 300's, his a 1998 which I believe is a first model year for them. The engine and rear drivetrain are from the Suzuki King Quad 300. It handled like a school bus and had the cruising speed of an oil frigate, but the engine and transmission is absolutely bullet proof. They were very good work and farm machines that's why a lot of the Arctic Cat's had some previous owners custom bumper or racking on them. Compared to other offerings from Yamaha, Honda, Polaris and so on the Artic Cats' weren't very powerful or fast for that matter. But you don't need fast when your main purpose was work.
Also if you think finding parts for the Tri-Z project was hard try finding a lot of the really vital parts for that Kawasaki KLT three wheeler you showed in the beginning. Some of the stuff for that thing is like finding hen's teeth. But if you want a real challenge to find true Unobtainium Suzuki and Polaris had one or two three wheelers at one point as well. :)
Where and how do they source these machines in such volume?!
Good question.
My dad bought a 2001 yamaha blaster for about $1,500 bucks brand new, still have it, still runs, been rebuilt about 6 times. another is a 2004 yamaha big bear 400 that he bought off of his boss for like 500 bucks, runs, drives, 4wd works, snorkeled, just an all out good machine. The blaster is my personal favorite due to how fast it is, ours has a banshee carb full fmf exhaust, sunf tires, pro taper bars, stock length and width, no intake mods, but still fast as hell, goes maybe 65-70 mph
2021 polaris 570 : (sits in a junkyard)
"They are good machines."
Bro the “school seat” rig is the shiz. You got content for days with that beast. You gotta resurrect and finish it man. That’s got TH-cam written all over it if I’ve ever seen it. You could make it a Mad Max style post-apocalyptic war machine
Wow man wasn't expecting a video tonight, thank you. Super cool video though loved it
I was the same way at junk yards. Great video!
I grew up on a quad runner 350. 4x4 reverse diff lock low med and high gear. Semi auto 5 speed. Topped out like 60mph. Full utility racks front and rear. When we were little dad would drive mom sat behind him I sat on one side of the rear rack my older sister sat on the opposite side rear rack. And my baby brother strapped to the front in his car seat!! Lots of country miles back in the mid 80s! Good ol days
mike great content- the 250r is now the new Hemi Cuda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First ever quad i saw a was at Bromley s in trevose. Probably mid 80s. Late 70s early 80s it was all 3 wheelers. A kid in the neighborhood got a honda atc 110.
The electrical switch on the rear grab bar on the raptor 😂😂😂😂 must've been for a lighted whip or something
I saw that too. I was hoping they talked about it.
You should take the Z400 home! Would do for a great rebuild 🙌
Growing up my buddy had a six wheeler, it drives on land and in water. And the steering and gas was controlled with two sticks. (Both forward to go forward, pull sticks in opposite directions to turn) it was soo dope!!
I would love to see you rebuild a brute force 750.
That green Kawi Mojo looks promising. However, I just recently saw a Blaster with a YZ 490 mill on one of the British channels.
If you can find one of those big bore air hammers that needs a home, that would be the ultimate build.
Let's make it happen, Brochacho!
A yz490 is a very commen swap. They are super close in design to the 200
this really makes you understand why oem replacement parts can be so expensive
Awesome video man! When is the next corvette update?
Was hoping to see this three wheeled golf cart thing my brother and I had came across. We mounted a 70s dirt bike in it. Never finished it and don't know what happened to it. I have never seen another one like it but it was a mass produced cart.
They’re not the most popular but I’d love to see you do a Yamaha Wolverine 450 4wd (‘07-‘10 I think) they made good power comparable to some 400 race quads but had on demand 4wd so you have 4wd when you need it while still having the power and looks of a race quad.
That was cool....!!!
Love the chopper quad!!! Hahaha
You should rebuild a can am renegade, I think that would be a really cool series. You’ve done sport quads, dirt bikes the SXS. Think it’s time for a mud machine.
The school seater Honda ones a 250ex !
i saw the Rmax at the end, you should have purchased that side by side, great unit! then you can do some videos on aftermarket mods and fun decals or something
I remember when I bought my '98 Kawasaki Lakota from the dealership brand new that four-wheeler was my first quad which introduced me into the sport I really love that bike
That thumb nail had me excited, I been waiting and hoping you do a 400 ltz one day every since I first started watching you
I had a 87' Mojave in 90' ( pops bought it as a dealer leftover in a crate ). Super reliable.
Had a raptor 660 when i was 11 and i wanted the fmftitanium 4 and the blingstar front bumper. Wow! Ended up with a gytr and honestly i loved it
Whoah! First!! Hell yeah yeah stoked let’s go!
Wonder how many of these gems were on Craigslist with "ran fine when parked"
Hey mike, im currently restoring an 89 warrior from the frame out. I didnt see any warriors out there.
love the vids
I literally dont even feel like getting into it, thereare too many atvs but this video is amazing
Cool
I saw the polaris selection and immediately went to their site to find a 2002 sportsman 700 flywheel. To my surprise the rusty take off is within 50.00 of the upgraded aftermarket one new. And only 200.00 over used ebay ones. I had high hopes for a second
24.30 the arctic cat with black front bumper/protect plate is a special edition. 2004 I believe. My dad had one that I used up😂
The one with the school seat and suicide chain shifter was someone who loved 3-wheelers and wanted to tell the government "you think 3-wheels are unsafe ? Watch this" haha
I can imagine how Michael wants to save them all😂😂
That place is wild
Hey Michael, what ever happened to the aspca raptor? I think you should do a video where you take out all of your bike and quads that you have and go over all them and lay them out side by side and talk about which ones you like and don’t like
wish i lived near there so i can buy a used side by side that needs work lol that would b nice
My favorites as a kid was the big red,the honda atc125 and the Yamaha moto 4.
I own a bayou 400 surprised to see one there, love them
🔥🔥🔥
Hey the one homeade quad with the school seat was built for a power wheels body swap. They more than likely had like a power wheels jeep body on it. And you sat down inside it. Iv seen several like that
any 250r stuff lol the 2 stroke 6 wheel green polaris is og..i remeber seeing them in 4 wheeler mags as a kid.
Bet they have some 80's TRX250r stuff out there. Any FL400 Pilots?
Hey Mike been really enjoying your content, love the R stuff. I noticed you took those precision bar mounts off your R among some other things would you be interested in selling. Iam local to you Jenkintown area.
Definitely need to hit these guys up for some polaris parts
Stereo works! Ohh yay
I love all the three-wheelers ...
That place is so sick I could take a year just checking out sections so crazy
You def came home with the z400 lol 😂
Ltz400 man I love em I need more of em 😂
Hello from Greece brother!!!
I'd like to see you build one of those badass 4wd 1000cc quads like a renegade.
My first quad ever was a bayou 220! hooolllly shit man. bringing back all these memories!
Wow christmas a bit early😁 Like they say what's one mans trash is another man's treasure💫
seeing those blaster rolling chassis with nice condition stock tires made me think like what could have happened to bring them to that state. But I have a soft spot for blasters.
Working on yz250 swapping one rn!
I have a Zilla, seeing that frame chillin like that bummed me out.
Hey Mike got just as excited when i saw the lakota! Top quad 4 utility quads???
