Just in the backyard, there are no controls being applied by workers.. Look at the scaffolding.. They aint wearing any harness nor any guard rails are provided around . I can understand the limitations of this dept but believe you me or not that it wont change even after 100 years unless the Life of worker in PAKISTAN will have any value before rich capitalist mafia. It is more important to implement a robust justice system before implementing these techniques. Here, Contractors only care when they are hold accountable of their wrong doings otherwise this soryy state of affairs will keep on prevailing and this so called HSE dept would do only cosmetic attempts to save lives of workers.. P. S although i am appearing for Nebosh IGC next month but i cant hold my emotions for these children of lesser god (poor labour)..
our major problem that we are facing, we are all trying to seek ideal conditions. But unfortunately in Pakistan the safety department passes through a lot of challenges regarding budget allocation, team strength, unnecessary involvement of other stakeholders. So, safety is the name of day to day improvement. I think u got my point?

Thanxs for your feedback. In Pakistan or in India Safety department face many constraints. Did you know that? Many organization in Pakistan working without safety department or safety measures... But our top priority is to stimulate the safety culture within the organization..... Safety always compromised due to clients or contractors agreements or top management commitment. But we hope inshAllah in future we stimulate the safety culture in Pakistan industry. We really appreciated your response thank you.
