I swear I always end up laughing at some point when watching your videos, I love it. "Nice 90s smell, yes smells like plastic" haha. Merry (late) Christmas and happy (early) New Year!
I laughed SO hard when it printed out Sonntag instead of Sunday. It looks like the software has been developed in the US. And even if it was done in Germany, how did it pass any QA test for the translation process? In addition to that, the overall amount of laughter and oddness in general made it one of my most favourite episodes.
I think this is a problem with Base and Extended MIDI maps. I don’t remember which is which, but one supported channels 1-9, and the other supported channels 11-15. On one, drums were on channel 10, and the other on channel 16. If you had files written for the wrong map, you usually just got silence because nothing was mapped to those channels. Some MIDI files had duplicate content on both mapped channel sets, so it would play on either. Then we stopped using those maps, and you’re free to use channels 1-9, and 11-16 for melodic, and channel 10 for drums. Some of the old files play fine on that map, some play double (trying to cover both Base and Extended setups), and some play with the drums and one melodic channel swapped, which usually means you get a percussive piano and sometimes random drums everywhere. In this case, he probably has either B or E mapping enabled, and the MIDI expects something different, so some channels aren’t playing at all. What we’re hearing is the accompaniment track, not the lead instrument, so it sounds wrong in isolation.
Hey LGR, thank you for another year of great videos. Especially during this hellish year we were in. Kept me relaxed and kept my mind off of things. Again Thank you so much.

This is possibly my favorite LGR Christmas video ever. I've never laughed so hard at one of these.
There’s just something about these weird programs and collections that Clint checks out that are so charming and hilarious 😂
That Rib Bitt t-shirt is probably the best thing that happened in 2020. By far. Merry Christmas, Clint - thank you for existing and doing what you do, it truly brings some much needed joy in these times!
I want this just for the T-Shirt software. That was hilarious!
Ah, this was enjoyable to watch, especially the t-shirt transfer bit. Thank you for the smiles. :-)
I love your Christmas videos. Happy Holidays everyone!
This is perfect for Christmas morning. I remember opening a copy of Indiana Jones and the infernal machine on Christmas a long time ago. I can still smell the package. Merry Christmas!
26:53
Clint: Perfect
Me: Indeed
Great video, your laugh is contagious.
This looks like something you’d see in Costco during the winter back in the day lol. I remember being young and going to Costco with my parents as there was this whole section of computer games/ software in big boxes and they were all like this or bundled with other things.
Heh, everything is made as cheaply as possible ;D
Love that Santa's laugh xD
Merry Christmas, folks!
I love watching you go through these kinds of disks it's oddly therapeutic
The midi files made me laugh out loud. Thanks for the smile
@@nickwallette6201Yeah, it sounds like the MIDI files are playing just the alto/tenor/bass lines and they forgot the melody.
Hey LGR, thank you for another year of great videos. Especially during this hellish year we were in. Kept me relaxed and kept my mind off of things. Again Thank you so much.
90's was a home of weird CD-ROMS...
Yes! I remember WizardWorks and Expert Software always on the clearance rack for like $9.99. As a kid I would buy it and install onto my IBM Aptiva 486/66 MPC and be promptly disappointed. What fun memories!
"Appropriate" for current locked-in christmas ~
Oh, and merry christmas everyone :D
Not expecting much online on Christmas, this episode is the perfect Christmas gift. Have a great end of year, Clint and everyone here joining in love.
I never laughed so hard at tee shirts in my life. This was perfect!
Skunny.... I have been trying to figure out what this old game was from my childhood for ages.... THANK YOU!!
That is the type of Christmas music you play when you want to drive someone absolutely mad.
14:09 That MIDI... It's so weird and bad that...I want it.
15:28 Oh no, it's one of those weird MIDIs, only with a piano now.
20:52 What were the people that made this even thinking? Christmas...with hacks of Flying Windows, bad MIDIs, and random t-shirts about addiction to sports and people in jail!
Gotta be honest, missed the "pssst ,ahhhh" intro
This video is legitimately the best Christmas gift this year. There is SO much value to you doing videos like this, there is so much software like this that would be lost to time if not for your work and as trivial as it may seem I really find it a nostalgic snapshot of tech culture that real people made, it would just be such a shame for it all to fade from memory. Happy Holidays, Clint!!
"[slurps] Ah!" love it
This year must really be getting to me, because I lost my dang mind as soon as I saw the outline of the t-shirt come out of the printer. Pure comedy.
So basically it’s the PC counterpart of the Star Wars Holiday special?
That's an insult...
...to the 1995 WizardWorks Holiday Collection CD-ROM.
This was by far the funniest LGR episode I have seen!! Thanks for the laugh!!
Hopefully for Christmas 2021, Santa brings that designer t-shirt
We needed this video so much , especially after dealing with so much 2020. I think your transformation into Christmas Clint has come full circle. I was slightly disappointed. I wanted to see a "World Peace : Could it Happen?" Tee shirt.. oh well there is always next year !!
Merry Christmas all
I SECOND that. No pun intended.
Merry Christmas 🎄

Merry Chrysler
And a merry Christmas to you too
The scuffed T-Shirt is really what this year has been about. Have a good rest of your holidays!
WOW That intro! :D
LGR's holidays video intro never gets old.
And you added the link for this CD!!! You are an absolute legend.
Merry Christmas Everyone :) Enjoy your holidays.
