Barangay Ilijan Norte was formerly a part of Barangay Panadtaran. In the middle part of 18th to 19th century, Panadtaran was the biggest barangay in Tubigon. It was headed by Kabesa Esteban Lumije, who was once a councilor in the Municipality of Tubigon. After so many years of his administration there was a misunderstanding among barrio officials that was the reason why Panadtaran was divided into three barangays . In the western part is the barangay Panadtaran , barangay Ilijan Norte in the North and barangay Ilijan Sur in the South. Boundary of the two barangay which is the Ilijan Norte and Ilijan Sur, there is a very big stone hill called Ilijan hill.
The land area of barangay Ilijan Norte is 233.6782 hectares, composed of six sitios. The distance of this Barangay from the Poblacion of Tubigon is about 5 kilometers.
Number of Residence: 1,532 population, 344 household and 391 families
This Barangay is famous for its folktale about the Ilijan Hill and it is also famous for having a breathtaking scenery (Manmade Lagoon or also called as NIA Dam)

We use to have a land in Ilijan my Olds folks . After he fast away devided to all siblings.My mom don't get the part coz they decide have on near place . So sold the lots from land . It's too bad I don't know was on sale I was not home . If I am home I am one well bought it coz the area is abundant of iraggation of water. Coz of mountains place. No problems for farmers .But anyway the owners close to us. If she well sale part of it i well buy. But another story. I miss ilijan we use to harvest sugarcane buko/ copras kamoting kahoy any they plants there. W/ my great grand Lolo . We ride the ka rabao in nighttime bring all the harvest to Pandan. My Lolo Tinot Asombrado. If any body knows him in Ilijan. My lola Isang Cervantes Mascarinas . Own a land o lots for farming there Thank for your blog dear Goodluck godbless always.
