I liked it better when it was concentric rings. I think the colors fit better with a bit more defined of a pattern. A little too 'swirly' for my tastes. The blue one looks nice, though.
Same every time with these swirls, potentially pleasing circles all broken up and twisted into a visual migraine, would've loved to have seen it dipped at 2.30
I tried this twice, came out bad both times, i leaned very quick that the amount of borax, the kind of paint and the water temperature all have to be correct or it won't come out nice, great job, looks awsome.
Thanks Scott. The paints I use are Magic Marble which doesn’t require any Borax. I could never get the Borax method to work for me. Everything else you said is so True, I actually have a water chiller to keep my temperature correct.
I must say, that's some nice work, there. My sister has been doing Turkish Water Marbling for almost 50 years now. Kind of a dying trade that's trying to make a small comeback. While she has done some freeform designs like this, her speciality is the more ornate, combed designs, like you would see on the inside covers of an old book. I'll have to see if she can paint an old Tele body that I have had sitting around for far too long.

anishanob I use Magic Marble paints which I liked because you just use it with water and not have to add Borax. I could never get the Borax method to work.
I use the SprayMax 2K Clear Glamour, you can order it through Eastwood or just Google it. Make sure you have a good Mask when spraying. 1 can usually gives me 3-4 coats.
I cant be the only person who cracked up at the awful guitar music. One of the bends was so horribly out of tune it sounded like a clown playing a toy trumpet.

This paint Magic Marble would work great. The water is just plain clear it just looks dark because the tank is dark gray. Magic marble paints don’t require any additional additives to the water. Some of my other videos have more information for you. Thanks for Watching

I use PPG and Rustoleum rattlecan Primers and for clearcoat I use SprayMaxx, it is a 2K clearcoat 1 can will do 1 guitar, it is great, easy to wet sand and buff
The music is really strange and I can't quite put my finger on it. The guitarist seems to have a decent repertoire of licks and yet lacks any nuance such as decent vibrato and is completely devoid of emotion, as well as some very questionable bends. He also interacts with the backing track in ways that suggests it's not a straight up improvisation but actually rehearsed to some degree. There is also guitars overlapping with a different tone coming in as the more distorted tone still fades out, that wouldn't happen if it was just one person switching. I don't think it's a band as the beat is way too flat and generic to be an actual drummer, so likely one guy recording multiple guitar parts and layering them over a backing track. As a musician myself and a far from perfect one I never like to shit on other peoples creations or say they are bad, I'm actually attempting to understand what makes this sound so off and how I can avoid potentially making the same kind of mistakes. Also why the fuck was this in my recommendations youtube!

@@mudkiptm1951 Also try to buy a primer spray for the guitar as it makes the surface of it stick to the paint. Someone has an entire tutorial on TH-cam on how to do it, so i suggest you go and watch it as it is very good. My brother has a graphic shop and he showed me how you do it. It makes anything look better. Or you can Hydrodip the guitar but i don't know how to do it (yet), and with hydrodipingyou can have like skulls on the guitar and such. Enjoy your new guitar finish.
I don’t know who L04D is but what he is saying is so far from the truth. I have a couple of How to Video on this, I use Magic Marble paints. I wish it was only $8.00. If you build your own guitars then I suggest you watch a lot of videos, get some paints and practice on other things and when you get comfortable with it then try it. This video here is older but it took me about a year to get to this point. Lots of Trial and errors. Good luck and have fun with it. Oh stay away from Spray Paints they turn out the ugliest and clump a lot. There is a Borax method which I never had luck with but others have.

Not as much fun as yours,,,my paint is drying to fast on the water,,,enamel,,I jacked the temperature up to about 80 degrees,,,but when I try to swirl it it all moves,,as one piece ?? Hi John I've had that happen to me before, I've found 74-76 degrees works good for me. Make sure no fans are blowing. I've only been able to do 4 colors at once, 3 is easier but you can do 4. Borax, No you don't use it with the Magic Marble paints. I had a lot of trial and errors and used a lot of paint. I should ask you too what colors are you using, also how big of a tank are you swirling in?

Pretty cheap just a few cans of paint and some warm water all for around 8 dollars
