Lucas is back and has a few more games of Kill Team under his belt so we've increased the model count but are still trying to keep it simple since Lucas is still new to Warhammer 40k.

Keeping it simple is sometimes the best!
Great game. At 17:36 you can only tactical reroll certain things, amount of shots is not one sadly. I know this is one of the common mistakes people make since its different than regular warhammer 40k. It didn't matter since it was rerolled to another 1 (universe was watching this game).

What aided your decision between the number of Cadian guardsmen you chose and the number of specialists? Would it ever be better to simply have more guardsmen and not so many specialists? For example, sacrifice the Vox Caster for additional guardsmen.
You're limited to 3 Specialists and 1 Leader with your kill team. There are also limits on the number of special weapons you can take. The Vox Caster is a worthwhile because if he can keep 1 guardsman from getting scared (which makes it easier for other guardsmen to get scared) he pays for himself. Also you can see how hard it is for a guardsmen with a humble las gun to hurt a space marine, so I like to maximize higher strength weapons and weapons that don't need to rely on their poor shooting ability such as flamers
@@goodbigbadboy Thanks for the excellent explanation. So, if I went with just the Leader and the rest guardsmen, I would probably fail in this scenario, even though I would have a larger number of members of my team.
Not necessarily, maximizing your model count can be useful for holding objectives and bogging down the enemy. With this particular list I was trying to maximize damage output when I maxed out the number of special weapons I could bring. But an argument could be made for maxing out on models and using them as cannon fodder and locking the enemy in combat and reducing their mobility keeping the leader safe
