I'm going to tell you how I was saved. I had carried so much guilt, pain, regrets suffering the consequences of bad choices. I was locked up in an overcrowded jail dorm meant to hold 16 women in a corrupt little illinois town. Completely felt I had nobody on my side, I physically felt too heavy to go on anymore and I was giving up. I laid with my back to the room crying silently with a scratchy wool blanket over my head. and in my head I started a conversation with Jesus/God. I asked if he wanted to do anything with what was left of me, because if he didn't do something, I'm letting go. It dawned on me what it meant when Jesus died for our sins, translated to me that he will carry what burdens our souls if we surrender it. So I acknowledged everything that made me guilty, sad, I acknowledged things I had done that only I knew about. Al the baggage that weighed me down. I acknowledged, asked for forgiveness guideness and visualized me wadding it up and tossing it in a trash bag. Took me over a half a day, this conversation with my savior. When I let him take that huge bag from me, It was totally clear that, I didn't have to carry anything on my heart anymore, but there's a catch, I also had to put the idea of revenge and payback in his hands too. And to trust that whatever happens is his will, and his will is what I put my faith and trust in as being right. So my faith is rewarded by his protection. When I came up out of that blanket, I went directly to the shower and washed it all away, when I came out I felt clean clear, alive and everybody saw that I went through a change in just a few hours, people were drawn to me that I had never met, and wanted to do bible discussions every night before lights out, because they saw me read the Bible before I went to sleep and first thing before my feet hit the floor in the morning. I had a genuine love for everybody and treated people that way even when they were horrible. I was saved alone and baptized alone. No preacher did that for me. I quit drinking, taking psyche meds because I took back control of my life. No "Dr" who doesn't know me can't just prescribe a pill that makes me have the personality of a dishrag thus a more acceptable citizen. I had true power and freedom and it was the sunshining on me all the time. My savior delivered me from exhaustion and filled my soul with radiant energy. I hope this helps anybody. It's real.

Beautiful transitions always come from a place of darkness. Your story gives me a much needed reminder of a relatable situation I had and it answers a question I have been asking lately. My question is "How should I minister to others when I feel inadequate and unknowledgeable?" I think I have an answer now and thank you! I had been a Christian all my life and when my family and I were homeless due to housing issues, I spent about 9 months in a homeless shelter. There are 5 people in my family and Utah law requires no more than 2 people per bedroom. There were no available 3 bedroom apartments for less than about 3K a month. I was one of the few who were homeless who had a decent steady job, and was still homeless. I am an introvert and I had been afraid of speaking in front of large groups of people most of my life. Despite my fears, I decided I was going to comfort my family and be as strong as I could in God by reading at least a chapter of the Bible every night, praying, and reading a chapter of a book my kids enjoyed. I wanted to keep my kids spirits up and stay right with God. The one day I didn't do it because I got sick, my wife was asked if I was Ok by people I never talked to. They asked if I would continue reading that night. I absolutely read that night and every night after. I didn't realize the affect I would have on those around me. It stays with me today because it helped me understand that when you follow God, he will bring people to you for you to minister too. Whether I was ready or not, had the knowledge or not, God is the one that ministers and not me. I only mean this next part to make an exaggerated point, but I feel like I now understand that you could speak gibberish, and if you are with God and actually following him, others around you will be ministered to. I don't think God would want me to speak gibberish, but the point is that it isn't what I am saying, but the connections God makes in the listener's mind. It is God who heals and saves, not me or any person. My answer is that God never asked me to be the minister. Just live my life as an example, share my experiences, stay close to God, and it is God that will do everything else.

It’s hard to see how true the Bible is until you’ve seen something like this for yourself. I was with a girl I would see occasionally at night basically sinning being lustful. Doing drugs(no hallucinogens) I was pretty much sober on this night. I really thought in my head this is not where I should be and it felt like maybe God had given up on me.(I know now that was the enemy in my head). One night I got there and she had been drinking a little. Not much though. She wasn’t a believer yet. She started grinning with this evil smile and speaking in weird riddles. Also playing very weird music that she would NEVER play. She plays lady Gaga poker face and tells me I should look up the song backwards. I said you got a phone, why don’t you? She said no you have to be the one to do it. So I did and on the chorus it said do it die do it die and some other horrifying stuff. I knew something insane was going on but I wasn’t sure what. All of the sudden she says turn it off right now! I said but you were the one playing it? After I did her breathing started getting worse and worse like someone was choking her. She said turn it back on now! Please! I need it! I said you don’t need a song by lady Gaga. Is she your savior? She doesn’t control you. It went through my mind at that time maybe it was possession but I still wasn’t sure what to do. Then I told her a bible verse. The devil is roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. I had told her bible verses in the past and I could see at times it was really making her think so I was certain she was possessed when she said you don’t speak about that here. At first I was just like ok? And she went back her seductive trance like dances she’d been doin all night and was on the bed laying down acting very seductive. I decided it was time to just start praying over her whether she liked it or not. I said Jesus Christ please deliver us from evil! I don’t even deserve to speak these words as bad of a Christian as I’ve been but please lord heal her. Take away whatever is inside of her! Just like that she snapped out of it. Went back to the girl I knew. She didn’t remember ANY OF IT. I told her what happened and said do you accept Jesus as your lord and savior now? She said yes. Do you feel like the darkness has left? She said felt like it couldn’t control her anymore but it was still lurking around. But I believe since she accepted him she could no longer be possessed but of course as true Christians we know that while it may still be around us we have a way to fight back and it can’t take over us. I saw then that God did have a plan after all and I was right where he wanted me. He uses very imperfect people to do epic things. I never thought it would be like some possession movie but in this instance it was. I think when she said to turn it off that was the real her stepping back into the driver seat for a second. Also it shows how powerful the music we listen to is. I believe much of it is spells opening people up to demonic attack. Sorry it was a lot to read. I hope someone is helped by reading all of this. If you are a true beliver you can pray the demons out of them. But I would be extrememly careful not to do it without other believers as witness as this process is dangerous for us mere mortals...

I was saved when I was 8 or 9 years old. I have lived a blessed life ever since! Sure I strayed away when I was a teenager, my family didn't attend church and never talked about God. But throughout my life I have prayed, maintaining a relationship with him. I truly believe that is the only reason I am still here. I did everything wrong and nothing right throughout my 20's but I did continue to pray. Folks, if I can get you to understand only one thing, that is to begin a relationship with him and trust in him to deliver you! He will and you will find yourself being blessed more than you deserve. Thank you Jesus for this life and all the blessings you have poured over me, I do not deserve any of it, but thank you for saving this sinner and welcoming me to your throne!

Like you, I accepted Jesus as my Lord & Savior at age 7. I had the same upbringing as you. Believing parents that didn't attend church much. I also screwed up in my 20,s (big time) Now at 55, I'm taking my relationship with God seriously. I quit drinking a few months ago and now I just try to be an attentive mother and keep the house clean. I have 4 teenagers so it's a struggle just to have a simple conversation with them. I feel empty because my kids choose cell phones and friends over me. I guess this is life.
Im a middle child of a now deceased mean alcoholic father who was an atheist. I was told on more than occasion at a very young age "there is no God". I remember crying and asking for God to help bc I never knew what I did to deserve the punishments I got. That's when my father would tell me there is no God. My father was always around but I never once knew him sober my entire life. All I knew is he spent his whole life miserable and always said he would change but never could not even for a day. I know he was treated pretty bad by his father and for the longest time I held a grudge bc I thought my father was just an a**hole bc I thought there could be no possible other explanation. I was in school when they started teaching evolution so growing up I really didn't hear or know to much of anything about God. I went through the first 35 years of my life (give or take a few years) not believing in God bc my whole entire life just seemed so unfair. My parents NEVER taught me anything and I mean I can't tell you one thing my parents taught me, my grades were horrible all through school. I never took a book home, I never did any homework, I don't remembered ever passing a test and I was the youngest person in my class. My parents fought every single night and day and it was screaming matches every single day. I was always tired I'd sleep in every class. Since my parents always fought I just left and I would walk to go play basketball at the school for hours apon hours until the lights shut off or I was to hungry to play anymore. The only reason I never failed a grade is bc I was a good basketball player for a D4 school and I won a lot of games, broke records and won championships. But my parents never watched me play, well my dad did once and he stayed a couple minutes into the first quarter then left to go drink alcohol even tho he drank a bunch before the game. I spent almost my whole life just angry. I started lifting early bc I felt like I needed to protect myself and I did but I hurt almost every friend I've ever had bc I couldn't control my anger and not to brag but there was only a couple people in my school who would of even had a ok chance at beating me up (and trust me back then I needed my ass kicked bc I was a dick head alot just like my father but bc of the anger I just didn't see it). I'm 37 years old now and I don't have any friends, and I don't blame them I blame myself. I became a huge drug addict and I really never thought I'd be alive at this age. But it wasn't until I got rid of my own demons and trust me I grew up with demons in my house and now I know I would bet that my father was a good man. I believe demons go from generation to generation. I have an older brother who has the exact same characteristics as my father. They both will do everything in there power to NEVER admit the truth. I definitely see why God does not want us to judge. Bc we don't see who's really controlling the body of the person that you think is just a bad person. God DOES NOT make bad people and God does not make weak people. I blamed God for so long bc I just did not understand. It took me 37 years to realize God didn't make my life unfair. God gave me my life bc he knew I was strong enough to live the hard life I lived. Whether you believe me or not one thing I can promise is I've done more drugs in my life I don't blame you for not believing me bc I should NOT be here. Ive wanted to die so many times through out my life. I'm a completey different person now and I'm still working on myself. The person I used to be I wouldn't want to be friends with now so I'm sorry to any and everyone that I've ever hurt. From my experience I've never seen a person happy unless they had Jesus in their life. I know I didn't know what happy felt like til I found Jesus. If there is ANY kids out there who don't feel special, just bc you don't feel it doesn't mean your not. It just means you haven't found why your special yet. But you will if you seek you will find.
Whoa man , many words of my life also . Except I learned to not be a dick and help people with my anxiety early on .Enough so that I was friends with the whole school and used my physical prowess only for good . Mostly shaking down bullies while making them feel accepted as well . Actually it sucked going home from the bliss I had from my many friends . But even my folks I would try and help but they where beyond hope , one as piss poor as the other . No Saints in the house except for maybe me . Not tons of physical abuse passed the age of 10 , but why would someone abuse a helpless kid . I watched my sisters suffer the same abuse . They are good people mostly now so I guess has panned out . Sure would be nice to hear what a savior I was to our house and some apologies but I don't need it so that's ok . Way to have faith and come out the other side . FYI we are creation and a universe unto ourselves . I am GOD in the flesh as we all are . And your right about being strong ,way to process the info and not be personal or grudge filled

I have to tell this since this video is on the subject, I have been a Christian for a long time but anyways 2 years ago a guy in his late 20's moved in my neighborhood and I've been around many people before with mental illness but this guy was something different. I won't use his name but he would sit outside his apartment and cry hysterically, then 5 minutes later he would laugh the most cynical laugh i ever heard then half hour later he would pace around the neighborhood and threaten to kill people, his mom moved in with him for little while but he busted her windshield out of her car and threatened to kill her, he would walk out of his apartment late at night and sit picking cigarettes out of people's ashtrays with his clothes most of the way off so basically naked, one night he was sitting under a pine tree close to my place indian style just staring straight ahead for hours sitting on a bunch of pine needles...every time the police were called on him he would run into the woods and hide, so basically he hated everyone and wanted to kill them but when he was around me he would say "hello neighbor" and was totally respectful and would not say anything bad to me but I was the only one....I even gave him a ride to a relatives house...so anyways if there was ever an example of a modern day person possessed by a demon spirit this guy had to be it..the guy eventually got evicted from our community for threatening to kill the people that owned it...Also i recall talking to his mom once and she said a mental health center had tried every kind of mental health drug on him that seemed to exist and nothing seemed to phase him....In my short 42 years of life so far one thing I can definitely say is I've seen the evil that men do that live for Satan and the beauty of what men do that live for God...don't fool yourself...it's a struggle for your soul, your life and your very existence and there are two spirits at work in this world...

Wow that's powerful. I never really understood that bit of the story. It makes a lot of sense and you make a good point. I like to listen to all different interpretations of Gods word and then ponder sometimes for years through trial and error , prayer and meditation. He always comes through because I trust Him 😊
I grew up in the streets, the streets raised me and made me a gangster, I was a blood, I sold dope. Been in shoot outs, fights, in and out of jail since age 17, I robbed people and got robbed. I was a drunkard, fornicator, I use to club and pop pills, but i had a encounter with JESUS while in jail facing 5-10 years.. and JESUS made me over again at age 23.. 8yrs later hallelujah I'm still free and born again, JESUS a mighty deliverer bless his Holy name

Little known fact ... at the top of this mountain where the demoniac dwelt among the tombs, was a pagan temple. Pigs were important to the temple and due to their proximity to the temple, the herd was no doubt owned by the pagan temple, or was somehow important to the worship of the temple. I believe this is why the demons wanted to enter the pigs -- both the demons and the pigs were associated with that temple. If you consider how the pig herders ran into town to tell the story we can see that they were trying to avoid the blame for the pig deaths. When the townspeople came out and they were afraid, I believe they were afraid bc of what this would mean for the demons they served in the temple and whether they, the people of the town, would get punished for it by the demons (or by their god, which were one and the same thing). All of this makes me wonder if the demoniac had been a worshipper at that temple or a former priest that became some controlled by the demons nothing could be done with him any longer.
This is one reason why having patients with people is important because you don't know what they have gone through , suffered ,or upbringing that causes them to do or think 🤔

I remember April 23, 2020. God woke me up at 2:30 am. I was having a heart attack the emts said I had the widow maker survival rate about 11%. Praise God for waking me up!!!
06:32 Jesus asked for the name of the demons, not because He needed to know (He already knew). Rather, it was for scriptural benefit and context for those of us reading the Bible to understand what is going on here, along with understanding the spiritual significance of this event. Sort of how God asked where Adam was (Genesis 3:9); God already knew were Adam was. Think of Jesus at the well with the Samaritan Woman (John 4: 16-18), where Jesus told the woman that she had 5 husbands. Jesus already knew the full scope of the problem without asking anything. But, so that we (and future readers of scripture) will believe, and that we may better understand the problem.
Yes, that's how I see it too. I notice that whenever God asked questions of Adam and in all other instances there seem to be one of two purposes: 1. To teach those being questioned by having them ponder and answer what Christ already knows. It also holds that person accountable for their own actions and learning. 2. To teach others who were witnessing the events by making the lessons and context obvious by His questions.
It were very clear that those demons were possessed in a man's body it was Jesus former company and under his command long before when the universe was not created and they were part as righteous angels. In Hebrew 1 verses 4 to 6 ( KJV ) 4: Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than to they. 5: For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee ? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son. 6: And again when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. °°Unluckily these angels disobeyed God and violated the law they become fallen angels God taken their power they were good only to possessed.

One of the most overlooked things about the man at the tombs in Mark 5 was that when Jesus told him to go and tell everybody what he had done, it was in preparation for Jesus's moment. The next time Jesus visits the land of the Gadarene's the miracle feeding of the 4,000 happens. This man who was delivered evangelized so fervently that 4,000 men wanted to know Jesus!! The first time Jesus went there He was rejected. The second time Jesus went there he was accepted. HALLELUJAH!!!
Thanks 4 the addition. Didn't put that together. The more I listen to NDE stories, and refine my biblical knowledge, the more I come to realize I really need to read the WHOLE Bible. While I read individual passages a lot, there's sooo many connections and common sense things to be thought and said, much of it NEVER does, like the point you just made. To be quite honest, this was an unimpressive video, drone on & on about flowery biblical stuff, but *barely* made it's point as to "why the pigs"? What I saw, could B said in 1 sentence:" Because the demons would have rather died by drowning in the lake than have to go back to Satan." Even so, point was barely made , in that, I'm saying so much else was said, he barely makes the point. Matter of fact, goes on to several times make the point about how Jesus rebuked / rejected the man's request 2 folllow him. A biblical novice could C that Jesus directive was to put another asset out into the world to draw ppl 2 him, and U astutely brought up how that bore fruit! Nice add!

Quick story. So I fell from faith last year after multiple stuff had happened which caused me to walk around with extreme anger and resentment daily, carried a loaded gun everywhere hoping I would run in to the person I felt had wronged me and was practially looking for someone to take out all my anger on. During this time I felt more powerful, cunning and ready to take on anything or anyone. Didnt matter if I used my gun fists or even a brick. After a while when cleaning my room I just randomly checked one of my old bibles which had laid put away in a shelf for over a year unopened and I noticed a strong dark yellowish stain on Mark 17 to 19 which talks about this devil possessed man talked about in this video. At first I thought it just had to be something in my shelf that spilled and made the stain but then I thought logically about it and it's impossible because if something had spilled it would be on the whole book or atleast on other pages too not just that particular verse on Mark 17 to 19. So I slowly started to believe again and eventually the attacks became too crazy, I could feel a strong feeling that I was going to be killed and that some powerful people was plotting on me and trying to get me to kill myself and I started to feel as if I was losing my mind so I asked Jesus in spirit if He could forgive me and I laid down my anger resentment and unforgiveness and confessed everything and for the first time I felt true repentance. I instantly threw my weed out and stopped smoking cigarettes which I thought was never ever going to happen. (Been smoking weed daily in large amounts since 2017 and cigarettes daily since 2013) I was heavily addicted to both of these and was never able to quit even when I first found Jesus. But this time I took a leap of faith, trusted in Jesus and I have never quit anything so easily, barely any urges at all except occasional weak ones but Jesus said if any man wants to follow me let him pick up his cross daily and that's what I'm trying to do daily now. Anyway God brought me out of the pit and its a huge miracle, I grew up in a very not religious home and never heard about Jesus let alone the true Jesus until 2020 and even then I wasnt able to truly repent and let go off these things until now. GLORY TO GOD
Once, even though brought up Christian, I never called upon Jesus. As I got older and knew in hindsight all things that have happened to me - illness, loss, heartache, "lucky times" I felt and knew Jesus was always with me. Especially as I had a dream he was on a bike next to me riding down my childhood home country lane IN JEANS 😀 Someone I told 35+ years later translated it to what I didn't figure it out to be - He's beside me. omg! onions! ;-(

I am a prospective Christian. Ever since the birth of my child last year, I have been increasingly interested in Christianity and raising my son under the teachings of Jesus. Like I said, I’m very new but I have mixed feelings regarding many churches and what messages they preach.
You are the Church the Holy Spirit happily dwells in so long as you recognize Jesus as your King & Saviour. I struggled with Legalism in Christian Religion. Do this, Do that. Don't drink or eat this. Jesus was among sinners like robbers, thieves, etc. HE was not there to do participate in temple "rituals" or those sort, the reason why the Pharisees were against HIM was that JESUS in their spiritual blindness, REBELLED against their "traditions" that one must do to be closer to GOD. Jesus called them out and said they do this but do not have love in their hearts. Drowning in their own self-righteousness, they didn't care about the poor or laid hands to heal the sick. What JESUS really wanted for us was to spend time with Him and Our Heavenly Father, in prayer, fasting & Scripture Mediation sincerely, like a child enjoying the company of their family. My missionary friend in Thailand told me that they need not build a "church building" to commune with GOD. They talk to HIM as they hike through the forest, handwash the dishes, do the laundry, etc. At this very moment, dear one, commune with HIM, talk to HIM, HIS Holy Spirt dwells within you. HE is closer to you than you think. 🙏🤩
I think that you'll find organized churches offer fellowship that helps you learn, stay strong and motivated, and support in times of sorrow, doubt, or fear. Also, you can be a great benefit to your fellow man by offering your own fellowship in a congregation to lend your support and strength to others. Jesus taught that when you do it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me. The following is perhaps not accepted by all Christians, but I still want to present it for your consideration... While Jesus served in His mortal ministry he organized a church to "feed my sheep" and gave certain people authority to act in His name -- for example, the apostles and seventies. He gave to Peter and the apostles keys that would allow their acts -- done in His name -- on earth to be binding in heaven. To me, this fits with Jesus' teaching to Nicodemus that a man must be born of the water and the spirit -- speaking of baptism by water and by the Holy Ghost. In Christ's organized church those holding His authority can enact ordinances like baptism that put you in a covenant relationship with God that is honored not only on earth but also in heaven. I would encourage you to be open to examining organized churches for the reasons I listed. In particular, you can do a lot of good for others beyond just being served yourself. Finally, I'd warn you that we all fall short, as disciples, of the ideal that Jesus taught. So, you will find that organized churches are filled with imperfect people. I don't find that hypocritical, if they're purpose in attending church is to strive to become better disciples and to continue trying to help others -- despite personal weakness and imperfection. Keep on keeping on in this path you've started down!
The Lord just gave me more conformation through you of a prophecy I was given 15 years ago that I now see my future wife written all over!!! In today's world society would label that possessed man as depressed and suicidal and give him medicine. When that man truly just needed Jesus Christ. Demons are the ones that temp us all with negative feelings like anger, depression, lust etc. It's up to us to give into the temptation or not. We just need Jesus Christ in our life's to find peace and get rid of those demons. I use to be depressed and suicidal then I found Jesus Christ. All those "negative feelings" vanished. Jesus Christ gave me peace.
I'm going to tell you how I was saved. I had carried so much guilt, pain, regrets suffering the consequences of bad choices. I was locked up in an overcrowded jail dorm meant to hold 16 women in a corrupt little illinois town. Completely felt I had nobody on my side, I physically felt too heavy to go on anymore and I was giving up. I laid with my back to the room crying silently with a scratchy wool blanket over my head. and in my head I started a conversation with Jesus/God. I asked if he wanted to do anything with what was left of me, because if he didn't do something, I'm letting go. It dawned on me what it meant when Jesus died for our sins, translated to me that he will carry what burdens our souls if we surrender it. So I acknowledged everything that made me guilty, sad, I acknowledged things I had done that only I knew about. Al the baggage that weighed me down. I acknowledged, asked for forgiveness guideness and visualized me wadding it up and tossing it in a trash bag. Took me over a half a day, this conversation with my savior. When I let him take that huge bag from me, It was totally clear that, I didn't have to carry anything on my heart anymore, but there's a catch, I also had to put the idea of revenge and payback in his hands too. And to trust that whatever happens is his will, and his will is what I put my faith and trust in as being right. So my faith is rewarded by his protection. When I came up out of that blanket, I went directly to the shower and washed it all away, when I came out I felt clean clear, alive and everybody saw that I went through a change in just a few hours, people were drawn to me that I had never met, and wanted to do bible discussions every night before lights out, because they saw me read the Bible before I went to sleep and first thing before my feet hit the floor in the morning. I had a genuine love for everybody and treated people that way even when they were horrible. I was saved alone and baptized alone. No preacher did that for me. I quit drinking, taking psyche meds because I took back control of my life. No "Dr" who doesn't know me can't just prescribe a pill that makes me have the personality of a dishrag thus a more acceptable citizen. I had true power and freedom and it was the sunshining on me all the time. My savior delivered me from exhaustion and filled my soul with radiant energy. I hope this helps anybody. It's real.

Beautiful transitions always come from a place of darkness. Your story gives me a much needed reminder of a relatable situation I had and it answers a question I have been asking lately. My question is "How should I minister to others when I feel inadequate and unknowledgeable?" I think I have an answer now and thank you!
I had been a Christian all my life and when my family and I were homeless due to housing issues, I spent about 9 months in a homeless shelter. There are 5 people in my family and Utah law requires no more than 2 people per bedroom. There were no available 3 bedroom apartments for less than about 3K a month. I was one of the few who were homeless who had a decent steady job, and was still homeless.
I am an introvert and I had been afraid of speaking in front of large groups of people most of my life. Despite my fears, I decided I was going to comfort my family and be as strong as I could in God by reading at least a chapter of the Bible every night, praying, and reading a chapter of a book my kids enjoyed. I wanted to keep my kids spirits up and stay right with God. The one day I didn't do it because I got sick, my wife was asked if I was Ok by people I never talked to. They asked if I would continue reading that night. I absolutely read that night and every night after.
I didn't realize the affect I would have on those around me. It stays with me today because it helped me understand that when you follow God, he will bring people to you for you to minister too. Whether I was ready or not, had the knowledge or not, God is the one that ministers and not me. I only mean this next part to make an exaggerated point, but I feel like I now understand that you could speak gibberish, and if you are with God and actually following him, others around you will be ministered to. I don't think God would want me to speak gibberish, but the point is that it isn't what I am saying, but the connections God makes in the listener's mind. It is God who heals and saves, not me or any person.
My answer is that God never asked me to be the minister. Just live my life as an example, share my experiences, stay close to God, and it is God that will do everything else.
Praise God. He delivered me also Sister. At my wits end....Life ain't cute. SALVATION is real , He met us where We Where At....Praise his Name...Above All Names.
I'm a recovering alcoholic, cancersurvivor and backslider and more I thank Jesus Christ for what he has done for me and others that can relate and have made a serious decision to change for the greater of good and the kingdom of God !

It’s hard to see how true the Bible is until you’ve seen something like this for yourself. I was with a girl I would see occasionally at night basically sinning being lustful. Doing drugs(no hallucinogens) I was pretty much sober on this night. I really thought in my head this is not where I should be and it felt like maybe God had given up on me.(I know now that was the enemy in my head). One night I got there and she had been drinking a little. Not much though. She wasn’t a believer yet. She started grinning with this evil smile and speaking in weird riddles. Also playing very weird music that she would NEVER play. She plays lady Gaga poker face and tells me I should look up the song backwards. I said you got a phone, why don’t you? She said no you have to be the one to do it. So I did and on the chorus it said do it die do it die and some other horrifying stuff. I knew something insane was going on but I wasn’t sure what. All of the sudden she says turn it off right now! I said but you were the one playing it? After I did her breathing started getting worse and worse like someone was choking her. She said turn it back on now! Please! I need it! I said you don’t need a song by lady Gaga. Is she your savior? She doesn’t control you. It went through my mind at that time maybe it was possession but I still wasn’t sure what to do. Then I told her a bible verse. The devil is roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. I had told her bible verses in the past and I could see at times it was really making her think so I was certain she was possessed when she said you don’t speak about that here. At first I was just like ok? And she went back her seductive trance like dances she’d been doin all night and was on the bed laying down acting very seductive. I decided it was time to just start praying over her whether she liked it or not. I said Jesus Christ please deliver us from evil! I don’t even deserve to speak these words as bad of a Christian as I’ve been but please lord heal her. Take away whatever is inside of her! Just like that she snapped out of it. Went back to the girl I knew. She didn’t remember ANY OF IT. I told her what happened and said do you accept Jesus as your lord and savior now? She said yes. Do you feel like the darkness has left? She said felt like it couldn’t control her anymore but it was still lurking around. But I believe since she accepted him she could no longer be possessed but of course as true Christians we know that while it may still be around us we have a way to fight back and it can’t take over us. I saw then that God did have a plan after all and I was right where he wanted me. He uses very imperfect people to do epic things. I never thought it would be like some possession movie but in this instance it was. I think when she said to turn it off that was the real her stepping back into the driver seat for a second. Also it shows how powerful the music we listen to is. I believe much of it is spells opening people up to demonic attack. Sorry it was a lot to read. I hope someone is helped by reading all of this. Just know it’s all real what the Bible says. God bless. Thank you lord for giving me this experience to share with others.

I was saved when I was 8 or 9 years old. I have lived a blessed life ever since! Sure I strayed away when I was a teenager, my family didn't attend church and never talked about God. But throughout my life I have prayed, maintaining a relationship with him. I truly believe that is the only reason I am still here. I did everything wrong and nothing right throughout my 20's but I did continue to pray. Folks, if I can get you to understand only one thing, that is to begin a relationship with him and trust in him to deliver you! He will and you will find yourself being blessed more than you deserve. Thank you Jesus for this life and all the blessings you have poured over me, I do not deserve any of it, but thank you for saving this sinner and welcoming me to your throne!

Like you, I accepted Jesus as my Lord & Savior at age 7. I had the same upbringing as you. Believing parents that didn't attend church much. I also screwed up in my 20,s (big time) Now at 55, I'm taking my relationship with God seriously. I quit drinking a few months ago and now I just try to be an attentive mother and keep the house clean. I have 4 teenagers so it's a struggle just to have a simple conversation with them. I feel empty because my kids choose cell phones and friends over me. I guess this is life.
Im a middle child of a now deceased mean alcoholic father who was an atheist. I was told on more than occasion at a very young age "there is no God". I remember crying and asking for God to help bc I never knew what I did to deserve the punishments I got. That's when my father would tell me there is no God. My father was always around but I never once knew him sober my entire life. All I knew is he spent his whole life miserable and always said he would change but never could not even for a day. I know he was treated pretty bad by his father and for the longest time I held a grudge bc I thought my father was just an a**hole bc I thought there could be no possible other explanation. I was in school when they started teaching evolution so growing up I really didn't hear or know to much of anything about God. I went through the first 35 years of my life (give or take a few years) not believing in God bc my whole entire life just seemed so unfair. My parents NEVER taught me anything and I mean I can't tell you one thing my parents taught me, my grades were horrible all through school. I never took a book home, I never did any homework, I don't remembered ever passing a test and I was the youngest person in my class. My parents fought every single night and day and it was screaming matches every single day. I was always tired I'd sleep in every class. Since my parents always fought I just left and I would walk to go play basketball at the school for hours apon hours until the lights shut off or I was to hungry to play anymore. The only reason I never failed a grade is bc I was a good basketball player for a D4 school and I won a lot of games, broke records and won championships. But my parents never watched me play, well my dad did once and he stayed a couple minutes into the first quarter then left to go drink alcohol even tho he drank a bunch before the game. I spent almost my whole life just angry. I started lifting early bc I felt like I needed to protect myself and I did but I hurt almost every friend I've ever had bc I couldn't control my anger and not to brag but there was only a couple people in my school who would of even had a ok chance at beating me up (and trust me back then I needed my ass kicked bc I was a dick head alot just like my father but bc of the anger I just didn't see it). I'm 37 years old now and I don't have any friends, and I don't blame them I blame myself. I became a huge drug addict and I really never thought I'd be alive at this age. But it wasn't until I got rid of my own demons and trust me I grew up with demons in my house and now I know I would bet that my father was a good man. I believe demons go from generation to generation. I have an older brother who has the exact same characteristics as my father. They both will do everything in there power to NEVER admit the truth. I definitely see why God does not want us to judge. Bc we don't see who's really controlling the body of the person that you think is just a bad person. God DOES NOT make bad people and God does not make weak people. I blamed God for so long bc I just did not understand. It took me 37 years to realize God didn't make my life unfair. God gave me my life bc he knew I was strong enough to live the hard life I lived. Whether you believe me or not one thing I can promise is I've done more drugs in my life I don't blame you for not believing me bc I should NOT be here. Ive wanted to die so many times through out my life. I'm a completey different person now and I'm still working on myself. The person I used to be I wouldn't want to be friends with now so I'm sorry to any and everyone that I've ever hurt. From my experience I've never seen a person happy unless they had Jesus in their life. I know I didn't know what happy felt like til I found Jesus. If there is ANY kids out there who don't feel special, just bc you don't feel it doesn't mean your not. It just means you haven't found why your special yet. But you will if you seek you will find.

Except I learned to not be a dick and help people with my anxiety early on .Enough so that I was friends with the whole school and used my physical prowess only for good . Mostly shaking down bullies while making them feel accepted as well . Actually it sucked going home from the bliss I had from my many friends . But even my folks I would try and help but they where beyond hope , one as piss poor as the other . No Saints in the house except for maybe me . Not tons of physical abuse passed the age of 10 , but why would someone abuse a helpless kid . I watched my sisters suffer the same abuse . They are good people mostly now so I guess has panned out . Sure would be nice to hear what a savior I was to our house and some apologies but I don't need it so that's ok .

I have to tell this since this video is on the subject, I have been a Christian for a long time but anyways 2 years ago a guy in his late 20's moved in my neighborhood and I've been around many people before with mental illness but this guy was something different. I won't use his name but he would sit outside his apartment and cry hysterically, then 5 minutes later he would laugh the most cynical laugh i ever heard then half hour later he would pace around the neighborhood and threaten to kill people, his mom moved in with him for little while but he busted her windshield out of her car and threatened to kill her, he would walk out of his apartment late at night and sit picking cigarettes out of people's ashtrays with his clothes most of the way off so basically naked, one night he was sitting under a pine tree close to my place indian style just staring straight ahead for hours sitting on a bunch of pine needles...every time the police were called on him he would run into the woods and hide, so basically he hated everyone and wanted to kill them but when he was around me he would say "hello neighbor" and was totally respectful and would not say anything bad to me but I was the only one....I even gave him a ride to a relatives house...so anyways if there was ever an example of a modern day person possessed by a demon spirit this guy had to be it..the guy eventually got evicted from our community for threatening to kill the people that owned it...Also i recall talking to his mom once and she said a mental health center had tried every kind of mental health drug on him that seemed to exist and nothing seemed to phase him....In my short 42 years of life so far one thing I can definitely say is I've seen the evil that men do that live for Satan and the beauty of what men do that live for God...don't fool yourself...it's a struggle for your soul, your life and your very existence and there are two spirits at work in this world...

I grew up in the streets, the streets raised me and made me a gangster, I was a blood, I sold dope. Been in shoot outs, fights, in and out of jail since age 17, I robbed people and got robbed. Little known fact ... at the top of this mountain where the demoniac dwelt among the tombs, was a pagan temple. Pigs were important to the temple and due to their proximity to the temple, the herd was no doubt owned by the pagan temple, or was somehow important to the worship of the temple. I believe this is why the demons wanted to enter the pigs -- both the demons and the pigs were associated with that temple.
If you consider how the pig herders ran into town to tell the story we can see that they were trying to avoid the blame for the pig deaths. When the townspeople came out and they were afraid, I believe they were afraid bc of what this would mean for the demons they served in the temple and whether they, the people of the town, would get punished for it by the demons (or by their god, which were one and the same thing).
All of this makes me wonder if the demoniac had been a worshipper at that temple or a former priest that became some controlled by the demons nothing could be done with him any longer.

Jesus asked for the name of the demons, not because He needed to know (He already knew). Rather, it was for scriptural benefit and context for those of us reading the Bible to understand what is going on here, along with understanding the spiritual significance of this event. Sort of how God asked where Adam was (Genesis 3:9); God already knew were Adam was.
Think of Jesus at the well with the Samaritan Woman (John 4: 16-18), where Jesus told the woman that she had 5 husbands.
Jesus already knew the full scope of the problem without asking anything. But, so that we (and future readers of scripture) will believe, and that we may better understand the problem.
Yes, that's how I see it too. I notice that whenever God asked questions of Adam and in all other instances there seem to be one of two purposes:
1. To teach those being questioned by having them ponder and answer what Christ already knows. It also holds that person accountable for their own actions and learning.
2. To teach others who were witnessing the events by making the lessons and context obvious by His questions.
It were very clear that those demons were possessed in a man's body it was Jesus former company and under his command long before when the universe was not created and they were part as righteous angels. In Hebrew 1 verses 4 to

While I read individual passages a lot, there's sooo many connections and common sense things to be thought and said, much of it NEVER does, like the point you just made.

Quick story. So I fell from faith last year after multiple stuff had happened which caused me to walk around with extreme anger and resentment daily, carried a loaded gun everywhere hoping I would run in to the person I felt had wronged me and was practially looking for someone to take out all my anger on. During this time I felt more powerful, cunning and ready to take on anything or anyone. Didnt matter if I used my gun fists or even a brick. After a while when cleaning my room I just randomly checked one of my old bibles which had laid put away in a shelf for over a year unopened and I noticed a strong dark yellowish stain on Mark 17 to 19 which talks about this devil possessed man talked about in this video. At first I thought it just had to be something in my shelf that spilled and made the stain but then I thought logically about it and it's impossible because if something had spilled it would be on the whole book or atleast on other pages too not just that particular verse on Mark 17 to 19. So I slowly started to believe again and eventually the attacks became too crazy, I could feel a strong feeling that I was going to be killed and that some powerful people was plotting on me and trying to get me to kill myself and I started to feel as if I was losing my mind so I asked Jesus in spirit if He could forgive me and I laid down my anger resentment and unforgiveness and confessed everything and for the first time I felt true repentance. I instantly threw my weed out and stopped smoking cigarettes which I thought was never ever going to happen. (Been smoking weed daily in large amounts since 2017 and cigarettes daily since 2013) I was heavily addicted to both of these and was never able to quit even when I first found Jesus. But this time I took a leap of faith, trusted in Jesus and I have never quit anything so easily, barely any urges at all except occasional weak ones but Jesus said if any man wants to follow me let him pick up his cross daily and that's what I'm trying to do daily now. Anyway God brought me out of the pit and its a huge miracle, I grew up in a very not religious home and never heard about Jesus let alone the true Jesus until 2020 and even then I wasnt able to truly repent and let go off these things until now. GLORY TO GOD
Once, even though brought up Christian, I never called upon Jesus. As I got older and knew in hindsight all things that have happened to me - illness, loss, heartache, "lucky times" I felt and knew Jesus was always with me. Especially as I had a dream he was on a bike next to me riding down my childhood home country lane IN JEANS 😀 Someone I told 35+ years later translated it to what I didn't figure it out to be - He's beside me. omg! onions! ;-(

I am a prospective Christian. Ever since the birth of my child last year, I have been increasingly interested in Christianity and raising my son under the teachings of Jesus. Like I said, I’m very new but I have mixed feelings regarding many churches and what messages they preach.
You are the Church the Holy Spirit happily dwells in so long as you recognize Jesus as your King & Saviour. I struggled with Legalism in Christian Religion. Do this, Do that. Don't drink or eat this. Jesus was among sinners like robbers, thieves, etc. HE was not there to do participate in temple "rituals" or those sort, the reason why the Pharisees were against HIM was that JESUS in their spiritual blindness, REBELLED against their "traditions" that one must do to be closer to GOD. Jesus called them out and said they do this but do not have love in their hearts. Drowning in their own self-righteousness, they didn't care about the poor or laid hands to heal the sick. What JESUS really wanted for us was to spend time with Him and Our Heavenly Father, in prayer, fasting & Scripture Mediation sincerely, like a child enjoying the company of their family. My missionary friend in Thailand told me that they need not build a "church building" to commune with GOD. They talk to HIM as they hike through the forest, handwash the dishes, do the laundry, etc. At this very moment, dear one, commune with HIM, talk to HIM, HIS Holy Spirt dwells within you. HE is closer to you than you think. 🙏🤩
I think that you'll find organized churches offer fellowship that helps you learn, stay strong and motivated, and support in times of sorrow, doubt, or fear. Also, you can be a great benefit to your fellow man by offering your own fellowship in a congregation to lend your support and strength to others. Jesus taught that when you do it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.
The following is perhaps not accepted by all Christians, but I still want to present it for your consideration...
While Jesus served in His mortal ministry he organized a church to "feed my sheep" and gave certain people authority to act in His name -- for example, the apostles and seventies. He gave to Peter and the apostles keys that would allow their acts -- done in His name -- on earth to be binding in heaven. To me, this fits with Jesus' teaching to Nicodemus that a man must be born of the water and the spirit -- speaking of baptism by water and by the Holy Ghost. In Christ's organized church those holding His authority can enact ordinances like baptism that put you in a covenant relationship with God that is honored not only on earth but also in heaven.
I would encourage you to be open to examining organized churches for the reasons I listed. In particular, you can do a lot of good for others beyond just being served yourself.
Finally, I'd warn you that we all fall short, as disciples, of the ideal that Jesus taught. So, you will find that organized churches are filled with imperfect people. I don't find that hypocritical, if they're purpose in attending church is to strive to become better disciples and to continue trying to help others -- despite personal weakness and imperfection.
Keep on keeping on in this path you've started down!
Good luck. Maybe you do not need a church right away, but a group. Pray on it.

The Lord just gave me more conformation through you of a prophecy I was given 15 years ago that I now see my future wife written all over!!! (I have known of a certain lady for the past eight years) She has a tattoo that says, "Lovely" and in part the prophecy said, "This would develop like a colorful kind of rainbow!" :)

In today's world society would label that possessed man as depressed and suicidal and give him medicine. When that man truly just needed Jesus Christ. Demons are the ones that temp us all with negative feelings like anger, depression, lust etc. It's up to us to give into the temptation or not. We just need Jesus Christ in our life's to find peace and get rid of those demons. I use to be depressed and suicidal then I found Jesus Christ. All those "negative feelings" vanished. Jesus Christ gave me peace.
