The hours taken to produce this is extraordinary, I played it on .25 speed , just so I could see how you did it, but even that wasn’t slow enough.
I applaud you, it’s just magnificent the detail and the intricacy of it all.

As a professional cabinet/furniture builder I can get stuck in the same thinking day in and day out and focus on efficiency and making money. This was fun to watch. When someone works for years at woodworking you realize most things work from the same ideas and experience but the “out of the box” thinking here in this video is impressive and fun to watch. Great idea and great skill to make it all come together. I really enjoyed watching this.

Mark Spears I know what you mean. I have been in the custom woodworking biz for 25 years. I was drowning in a sea of raised panel doors and crown moulding. I had to find a way to separate my love of woodworking from the day to day “get it done” business side. It feels good to build things with no real purpose once in a while.

      @@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams Quite welcome!
My grandfather worked in wood - he was a pattern-maker for Studebaker in South Bend. He died a few years before I was born, so I never got to meet him.
But my dad seems to have picked up several of the skills; he'd occasionally build something simple of wood, although it had nothing to do with his chosen career (meteorology; numerical weather prediction).
So I appreciate a well-executed woodworking project. I'm also a mathematician/physicist (retired), so I appreciate the geometric beauty of this design.

I've just made my own kitchen worktops with 30mm BP and Formica, specifically so I could leave the edge exposed. They look great. I've also got a coffee table made by my Dad in the 1960s that uses 18mm and white Formica, which was the inspiration partly. Anyway, your stuff is taking that edge-love to another level :)

I never looked at the dislikes until I read the comments. How could anybody dislike a accurate and interesting and fantastically executed work of technical art? Anybody that dis likes this has no idea what a cool project it really is. Is their skill level and understanding so low that it doesn't register? I am going to guess anybody that dis likes it probably has trouble getting toilet paper to ball up.
