This message makes me thankful for the protection of my parents. This is why I am reminded to never compare yourselves among yourselves as the Holy Bible scriptures admonish.
I wanted to be with the children who got to grow up too fast. They had their autonomy into adulthood early enough to know what this real world entailed.
I was very much shielded from it, but also half exposed to it in a very traumatic way between two households of what they would call a broken home.
I believe all children grow into that puberty age where it is most critical for them to transition into their young adult years owning their autonomy and authority. If the house can’t teach them, then the streets must. Cuz it’s only adulting from there and the tests don’t stop. 18 yrs is the age of majority. That’s not a lot of time for boy and girl joy. Joy, like self control, is a spiritual gift. Part of adulthood is making sure it’s not stolen along with your peace.
Learn to fight that enemy early by keeping and knowing your authority and of course by knowing who you are -which means the earlier you CAN learn who you are NOT, the BETTER and the faster for you to walk in your autonomy/authority well prepared and with some experience, allllready!!
