I LOVE watching you videos and have decided that a Janus 22 will be the first boat i build from scratch along with you.

@@Aaron.deRuiter Washington state USA ... actually doing your SUP first and then the Janus... but was also looking at the Wizard... I like the center cockpit for extended cruising and storage

Yep, a little bit of effort now will definitely save time later.

I like your no-nonsence just start building strategy. Here i am stil contemplating life before eventually ever maybee starting on a wa'apa build xD

Just trying to plug away it while keeping things as simple (and cheap) as possible. 👍

@@Aaron.deRuiter naah, not yet. budget and focus is a thing, currently on a completely different project (running my first 50 mile ultra). But i'm planning to begin it somewhere spring 2022 (norther hemisphere spring, so that's march ;))

You might want to consider a pattern bit - bearing is at the router end. You won’t need to manhandle large pieces on the router table then.

I'm guessing you've already made it far enough to be routing the bulkheads.
That being said, you probably already discovered that a stronger router would have helped speed up that process.
A 400W router will cut 4mm ply, but a 1/2 hp router with a larger shank does it so much easier with much less heat build up in the bit.
Don't ask me how I know.

A more powerful router would be handy but I figure if I keep my rough cuts close to the template the one I have should (fingers crossed) last the job
