I'm 74 years young. This is my first time being this age, so I don't know how I'm supposed to look or feel. I feel ok. I REFUSE TO DIE before they come back! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 BTS is what families are supposed to be like. Togetherness, love, respect, caring. They have/got each other's backs. They are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!! I agree.. this is because there is no other Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hobi, Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkook… 7 individuals that are so special. The stars aligned perfectly and put them together 💜 so you’re right.. there will never be another BTS
A fellow Korean here and we think the same. BTS can not be duplicated for sure!
I'll be the first to admit it. I started my BTS journey with prejudice. One look at them and i was like "they're a soft, feminine looking boyband that probably sings about their highschool crush. NOT INTERESTED!" But I was forced to watch their content because my cousin (who is an Army) was staying with me at the time, and she wrecked my youtube algorithms. It took me 9 months to give in and declare myself an Army.
Different people get into an artist for different reasons. It can be their looks/visuals, their music, their personality, etc. I have Army friends that love BTS for different reasons. If you like an artist for their looks/visuals, it's not sustainable. You will move on to the next newer, younger, trendier artist that debuts. If you get into a group for their music/sound, it's a bit more sustainable. But then you run into the problem where that artist can't really evolve or do anything new, because the moment they do, fans will say they've changed or sold out and wish that they keep doing what they're doing. but if they keep doing what they're doing, fans will also say they sound the same and possibly move on to a new artist that's doing something new. it's really a double ended sword.
BTS to me checks off a lot of boxes because they have the music, the lyrics, the message, the personality, the intelligence, the business acumen, the mamba mentality, the artistry, and the list can go on and on. With all of these traits, it allows them to experiment with their music and career and still keep their fans engaged with the other stuff they bring to the table. For example, some people don't really like their 3 english songs that they put out. Saying it was them selling out or becoming too westernized or blah blah blah. If they only had a few songs, and they did this and continued to do this then i might agree. But they have over 500 songs by now, you're not ok with them having 3 english songs to try something new? and they're continuing to write Korean songs? Just like JK's new album Golden. there are people criticizing him for having a full english album. He even said, he wanted to try and see if he can do all genres of pop. he said "POP" not "kpop", why not allow him the freedom to limit test? It's not like he's never going to do korean songs again. Didn't he say he wanted to try latin pop too? so if he does, are haters going to say he's becoming too latin? It is their willingness to try new things and push the envelope that make them who they are. Honestly, i'm loving their chapter 2. as much as i love their old songs, i'm also loving this more mature side of them too. As i age, i don't want to be listening to the same poppy songs for the next 50 years. Diversity is good! They're a one stop shop
I'm a baby Army. I started my journey jan 2022 and became an Army October 2022 right after their Busan concert when they announced their enlistment plans. I thought they handled that whole fiasco with class (and quite bad ass if you ask me). In my short time as an Army, i have truly seen how strategic the boys are and how when they ask for our trust, it's not in vain. They have thought long and hard about what is best for Army and what THEY need to do for themselves to achieve longevity. They understand that they cannot be at the top forever, and they have come to terms with it. As they mentioned, they just ask for a graceful fall. And it's really impressive that they're not selfish with their knowledge and experience. They are willing to mentor newer artists even though they didn't have that privilege starting off. One other thing i'm very thankful for is that they're positive, but they're not the bubbly, i want to vomit in my mouth type of fake positive. They share their struggles with us, and despite those struggles, they're willing to fight through it which gives us hope to fight through what we're going through too. Honestly it's not easy to have 7 ppl live together and work together for so long and go through everything they've gone through. It only takes 1 person to say "that's it" and the whole group will disband. But they endured everything as a team. and that really says something about their personality and how much they actually love each other and not faking it.
Even the most recent news of HYBE giving them 7 individual voting rights in the company is HUGE! being a business owner, i understand that it really takes a lot of trust and respect from the company to offer that. They really have to know what they're doing, and the company has to trust their vision to offer them voting rights. And that's a testament to why they are the biggest group in the world AND for the right reasons. You can argue all you want about your favs being the biggest and paving the way and what not. But i'm sorry, the difference in levels is not even measurable. You don't have to like BTS or like their music, but they have proven time and time again that they have earned and deserve respect. I've never seen a group give back so much to their fans and really put their fans priority first whenever they're making decisions. Seeing JK being so intimate with fans at his last concert like chatting with close friends, Jin leaving us messages every month he's been away, Suga renting out the next door arena to his concert so that fans and staff don't have to wait outside in the heat, Namjoon disclosing at the 2022 Festa that he felt guilty that he wanted to take a break after working non-stop for 10+ years (i'm counting the trainee years too) is just ridiculous. No other artist cares that much. Even now that they're about to enlist, they already pre-recorded so much content for us. JK even said even though he has a few days left, he wants to film one more thing for us. Who does that?!?!
I'm an ambitious person as well. I took it to heart when Namjoon said "let's destroy the music industry together". When they come back in 2025 and will probably do their comeback tour in 2026, BTS x ARMY, let's destroy the music industry together then! While we wait for that day to come, we can let other artists "hold BTSs' beer" for now.
Sorry for the rant. I should stop here even though i can probably continue for another 20 pages.
Also, there’s heart and soul in BTS’s performances. Not saying they’re the only one that has it. But I don’t sense it from the majority of artists now. Many new songs are just meant to be TikTok viral, there’s no soul
I feel bittersweet too. They have become a huge part of my life. I am 67. I don't won't them to leave. I may be dead before they come back and together again. I have health problems a day this is just reality. They have been my best friends. You are one now so please don't leave me too. Praying for you, will you pray for me. ❤😊Love

I've taken the stance that I'm looking forward to seeing them in 2025 and in the mean time i'm going to stream like mad i really would like for each member to come back to find they have a Platinum accredited song and that they'll be a couple of BTS songs that have also obtained a Platinum Award.and catch up on any Run BTS bit's I've missed. I'm thinking the quicker they start eg tomorrow the quicker they return. I think that would be nice for them all as it'll prove we didn't forget them while they were serving.
BTS is always pushing the envelope and challenging themselves and their work ethic is incredible.😊

i think this works because each member is heard, and each member is valued and loved. in other groups there will always be an unpopular member who never gets any lines. and is an average singer and average vocalist. so fans stop noticing that person.
and that member might feel lost and stuck in a group where he or she is not loved by the fans and not able to grow as an artist. and that must be so tiering. but in BTS all members are loved and is allowed to have solo songs all the way back since wings ara.
and for the rappers it was from 2013. also Suga and RM made mixtapes so that they could release music as a soloists on the side, no other group did that.
but now kpop has seen BTS do that so now they allow some freedom to the members.
but what tend to happen is that one member will shine more and solo stans will ruin the group.
but for BTS that didn´t happen it made army stronger since we saw how brilliant all of them are. and how deserving they are to be part of BTS.

j-hope will be back in september i think or october 2024 and big hit said that they will do solo activities until the rest returns. and that is perfect for j-hope. he will actually have 2 solo runs before he needs to do BTS. j-hope is also one of the most ambitious member so he will get to experiment a little more. i think maybe j-hope will have a solo tour. he has enough songs and he could maybe do a few new singles before going. it will help army not being left without a concert for 2025

I think her point still stands. Majority of kpop groups don’t go together, especially if they are as popular as BTS are or close to popularity. Respectfully most people unless you are a kpop fan wouldn’t know onf. This is me trying to be disrespectful but their is a difference when it is a group that are as popular then when you aren’t as popular. This isn’t me trying to hate just pointing out that I think her point still stands, especially when it comes to more popular groups.

@@mooontie some of the member are eg with a day of each other while the other's went off when they had to so the in order to be back in time for the reunion the 4 yourngest members have enlisted 2 on day and 2 on the other. Most kpop groups don't do that they go off at the last possible moment and a group goes on for years with members coming and going rather than think what's best for the group.
