Ive Been doing these stretches Allmost every Day, for a half year now. Im 21(skated 12 years) I had alot of pain in my legs from strains. Which were so bad, that i didn't sleep right for about 2 years... This video really helped me out.! “especially the first hamstring stretch”. i go harder on the board now, and i can push my body alot more. Unfortunately my skate progression slowed down because i've had a hard time affording a new board, so i loose tricks and try to relearn it everytime. But hopefully that will work out, so i can get physically better. Thanks for the videos Neen, i wish i could like it again everytime i use it.

Skating as a teenager I could eat rubbish food, take hard slams, smoke and drink all day and night and shred like whatever. Until the partying took over and I stopped skating. Now in my mid 20's I'm clean, I take my physical and mental health a lot more seriously and have started picking back up my board again. Now skateboarding achieves for me what yoga and meditation do - and i have fallen in love with it again. Only 21 used to do a lot of drugs and never took care of my body. Now I'm stopping all my bad habits and getting back into skating more. It truly is a blessing to have skating even if it takes me a while to even land a tre flip now.

Ive been doing this routine, with some slight variation as the week progresses, for a couple months, and it has helped me continue skating. Im from Canada and the winter with out skating, along with my profession (chef) makes the transition into Spring a nightmare for my skating. Im on my feet for 12-14 hours a day and it tightens everything up. Just wondering also if you have a Post-work(out)/Skate/night stretch routine, or if this one is applicable?

I just heard that these stretches put you at a higher risk of injury, because they are "static" stretches? I have been doing stretches like these because i absolutly do not want a muscle injury during summer. Should i do dynamic stretches or should i keep doing these?

Hey man, I love the "new" healthy Neen. Sorry if this question is too personal but, I'm a 34 year old skater that's trying to get healthy, I'm wondering is cannabis still a part of your life now that you're living healthy?
Squats and front squats and strait legged deadlifts worked well for my acl injury. Use a squat rack. I like the cage type of squat rack but use what ever your gym has. Start out using the bar without any weight and warm up on a stationary bike for 15 or 20 minutes. Go to work at it like you mean it and the legs will get ripped strong.
Here's some videos for ACL & general knee fitness in case you still need tips. I found them useful and quick to do. I would recommend doing low impact exercise regularly, for me just walking as much as possible has been the best, also any kind of walking/stratching in a pool is very good in the beginning.
