Just a hint Mukluk, stack on the right side instead of the left side for Dragonvoid pt. 1 and pt. 2 so the slam is further away and then you can jump the shockwave.
Not just that, but it's also coded to be the "back side" of the boss, so attacking from there helps every build that uses Thief Runes, Twin Fangs, Hunter's Tactics or Backstab.
I've been playing GW2 for years and I really appreciate these videos like these because they always show me that I will never like doing strike mission or raid content :) But it is entertaining to see Mukluk doing it with newbies.
I did this with a pug group accidentally for the first time (all previous "EoD strike" groups in lfg I've been in didn't do this so I didn't know it existed) and we did a clean sweep. It was surprisingly explained well just by doing what the others were doing.

There was a FB bubble and a Ventari bubble, and the fact that the Rev knew to use Ventari bubble means they can't have been a newbie either. XD So 7 newbs.

Are you gonna do more groups like this, cause I still need Harvest Temple? I've Never completed it. My wife has, but I haven't. But then she's a better player than me. I've never attempted the BLA one. I also don't know what "cleave" actually means btw. A pro tip on that would be good.
The "cleave" term dates back at least as far as dungeons and dragons. Its a skill that lets you target one enemy but also hit another enemy adjacent to it. Its basically come to mean "make sure your attacks are hitting both of these guys" and positioning yourself to do so. And yes, lately I've been doing "training tuesdays" and taking noobs to various content :)
Hehe, "deathjuice" xD I always call it soup, cause soup is too hot and if u try to eat it, u die. Giants have eaten too much soup and puke it out again. but deathjuice is also very funny :D
It definitely is. :) Other projectile blocks/destroys also work well, but they are either too short or have other downsides. As a Necro I usually bring CPC for that phase, but because CPC also damages it also pushes the orb which may be detrimental.
GW2 has really weird hitbox sizes for Raid and Strike bosses. Like a very large boss but the hitbox is so small. And every instanced PVE is like this you stack in the small hitbox of a large boss and spam skills.
You can drag out that expanding orb timer quite a bit the other day part through zhaitan down to 4 people left alive went and cleared it never quite had the orb goo cover the whole area but you had about half an asura's height left on the edge
Yeah I have another video somewhere of me being one of the last people alive and fighting on the little sliver of space on the edge for a few minutes XD
That circle actually stops just short of the edge like that, it's sorta kinda an enrage timer but you can technically survive indefinitely on that tiny strip. See Lord Hizen's solo of this strike (he did it a few months ago on a mirage) for proof.

First time i cleared me and my 2 friends just made a random group we have 0 info on what happens or how anything works it took us 6 try's the randoms have also never done it (the big problem is that 99% of players know only 1 thing and that is attack attack and attack but we where lucky and had players who catch on quick see die repaet learn... Its that easy but most have a hard time learning anything) silent surf fractel took me and my friends 10 trys as we dit not get the jumping in there but now we do for anyone asking we cleared it on t4 the day it came out with 3 players never done it on any other tier. My best advice for anyone LOOK AT THE DAM SCREEN!!!
There really isn't a bad option. Any traditional healing builds will do the job, just make sure your groups have all boons covered. After that it is just about doing the mechanics.
Before I would have said Healbrand, hands down. Now after the nerfs... I'd say it's between Healbrand and HealMech. Heal Druid, Heal Tempest and Heal Scourge all work well too, although they have different pros and cons compared to the others. Heal Druid has amazing healing and condi cleanse, but your options for mitigating damage and providing stability are extremely limited. You have to constantly refresh your spirits too, which can make it more difficult for you to do other roles like tanking which other supports are traditionally called upon to do. Heal Tempest requires a bit more APM than other builds due to the need for constant Attunement swapping, so the playstyle may not be to your liking, but it otherwise is a very strong, solid build too. Heal Scourge is primarily more about damage mitigation via barrier and various res shenanigans than about upkeeping boons, so it's more of a niche role. It generally functions as a "healer 2.5" in a team comp rather than as one of the primary supports, but it does incredibly well as a "noob carry" role for tougher fights where some people are not as experienced with mechanics.
The support scourge build for minor healing, big shields, and lots of revives. Good for training runs if all the boons are covered. I believe I had shamans gear on for this one.
Likely that or Magi's. "Healscourge" makes use of traits that pull downed allies to your location, revives them with a massively increased amount of life, and provide big bursts of barrier.
Is a healscourge still viable today? I've read from different forums that its waaaaay obsolete now because of guardian elite specs and that it was nerfed as well. Im a PVE player mostly so im not kinda knowledgeable about raids, strikes, fractals, etc.
@@aztechrex5275 In a group where no one is making mistakes, the heal scourge isn't very useful. In a group like this one where people are going downstate on occasion, it excels at getting them back up quickly. Depends on the party.
@@aztechrex5275 The reason you don't see it too commonly is that it doesn't bring one of the main two support boons (Alac/Quickness) which many groups will expect a healer to bring. In most squads if you have healers bringing key boons, you just want more DPS rather than another backup healer. That being said, Healscourge is still used very commonly in fights where people are likely to get downed like Boneskinner. Also you can work around the issue by bringing lots of offensive boon supports and then supplementing that with a healscourge, rather than using a healer that also provides a key boon. All that being said, Healscourge provides unique utility that fundamentally breaks certain encounters. So I think it's crazy to call it obsolete. It's just that it requires more work to fit into a standard team comp, and many groups in LFG just want to plug and play and get blasting.
Hello, newish to strikes but have been doing the first three EOD ones for shards lately, may I ask what you mean by this? And does it only work for HM?
@@KuroKenTerry theres a bug of sorts that basically works like this. If you "wipe" on harvest temple but the boss is low, the game gives you some shards as pity. So lots of people will /gg to "wipe" immediately after killing the boss, to get the proper loot and the pity loot both.
After completing the strike, everyone remains in combat. So if you /gg, the reward system gives you additional shards as if you had failed the encounter even though you have received the bouncy chests and the center chest has spawned.
Once upon a time I legit thought the word was mandaNtory. After being educated, I still say it that way sometimes to joke with folks who have been here a while.
