thanks for sharing this awesome video. I would like to get into four wheeling some day and I'd really like to get a hold of a 250 quadracer some day as well. Two awesome looking rides.
Thank you for watching! It's a really fun sport. I prefer the old bikes. You can find 250 quadracers pretty cheap on craigslist every now and then. I paid 75 for this wrecked, and pieced it together and have a little under 500 in it. I love it. Keep an eye out, have a lot of projects in the works I will be sharing over the next year! Hope you can find a quadracer soon!! Thank you again :)
Hard to tell with these 2 bikes honestly. My friend's 92 needed rebuilt and the powervalve was all wrong. I rebuilt it and it's still in my garage, but it still doesnt seem right. I'd love to line up next do a well maintained one and see for myself. Thanks for watching.
@@VintageSaws actually according to dr.q the big reed 87 on the 250 no better than the 88+ because the little 250 can only suck so much air...but on the 500's it's a huge difference because they also went to the small reed block in 88.
yea it was missing really bad, i told him to get a coil, and he did..made a world of difference. I hadn't ridden it prior to this day..but it's a lot better now. I think the powervalve needs adjusted as well, but his schedule is busy compared to mine. We've got to put a new head gasket in it, so hopefully we can get it all lined out in the next few weeks. thanks for watching!
as far as common problems...I am not sure, I've seen comments on other vids about people suspecting the powervalve being messed up. I say this for his, because it doesn't have a lot of bottom end..and the guy he got it from said that he had tried adjusting it...I took "tried" as a key word lol. I have had two of the first gen quadracers, and really like this green one. they're not as complex of a top end, but the bottom end torque is a lot for a 250 2 stroke, something I have always found lacking in the 250's I've ridden...my old quadzilla, and I'd imagine your cr500 on the other hand...adrenaline rush
yea i am not positive other than the PV. They didn't handle as well as the honda's but Dr.Q (youtube handle quadracerhq) has some mods to the front end to eliminate the bump steer and correct the camber to really improve the handling. I think the handling is the biggest reason they don't have the cult following the TRX's do. Hope you find one! you can pick them up pretty cheap every now and then. I've got a little less than 500 in the green one now. Hopefully I will have my LT230s and Quadzilla done here really soon and have some more VS videos up.

The 4 wheelers are out!
What is the speed difference between 85-86 and 87+

87 were the fastest year since Suzuki increased the intake size dramatically and then in 88-92 they reduced it again

Is there any known problems or common problems with the 1992 lt250r?
