Oh boy, where do I even start.
So me and Andrew planned on returning to this yellow ‘130, as we tried recording this back in November. Because of the storm chances that day, Lawton decided to cancel that weeks test. I originally wasn’t going to come here as I had school, but one day of being absent won’t kill anyone.
I arrived here at around 11:42, and just as I got my camera set up, it activated while facing us. This caught both of us off guard and we immediately started recording. The first activation was for roughly 1 minute, but I decided to only include the portion where I was recording on both my phone and my camera. After the 2001 shut off, we could hear the rest of Lawton’s system go for just a bit longer.
We believe Lawton/Comanche County EC911 had accidentally activated the system in the process of trying to potentially clear the frequency or page something out.
We both had a suspicion that, if were an accident, the system would be re-activated for the actual test at noon. Low and behold, our suspicion was correct and the 2001 roared to life for the second time.
Again, we could hear the rest of Lawton’s system after the 2001 shut off, but this time they went for longer. We also heard a Thunderbolt that sounds really shitty. No idea which one it is.
Also, on Andrew’s way home, he stopped in the city of Marlow and found a newly installed 508 that indirectly replaced an STH-10. So today was very interesting.
I highly doubt most of you all read all of this, but nonetheless enjoy the video.
Comanche County/Lawton EC911 tests the warning sirens in the city of Lawton every Monday @ 12PM, weather permitting.
Not the Law & Order sound effect

Aw man I missed the fun there, oh well at least you recorded this lol
Romeoville called, they want their siren back. 💀
I remember our system of banana yellow 3016's in STL County before we got our new network of 2910's...they were all analog
Nice video. I can hear Thunderbolts in the background.
Deviously Devious Lawton Mischievery
Gives Romeoville, IL vibes lol. Nice video!
Thanks! And yes it does
Can you record the sirens at lake Humphrey?
I actually just tried recording the 2001 at Lake Humphrey. Duncan didn’t test that day however due to the below freezing temperatures.
@@brodiessirenproductions did it just rotate only like a silent test?
yeller sirene
Good Lord I look like an Oompa Loompa…. Lollllllll. Let’s see what happens next time we’re there
Ooom-pa Loom-pa Doo ba dee doo
Yoinkity Sploinkity Activated!
Can you find out when Marlow, Oklahoma does their siren test and record the siren on North Railroad Street between Cherokee Street and East Arapahoe Avenue in Marlow, Oklahoma?
As I’ve said previously, Marlow does not test their sirens on a schedule. They are tested as needed. If I can catch them in a test day, I will then.
@@brodiessirenproductions I’m sorry I didn’t catch that before
Oh no, you’re fine. I was just letting you know
Lawton must have been on something that day, luckily there were no issues when I went to them for one of their T-Bolts
Out of all the times I’ve been to Lawton, something like that has never happened before. I believe they accidentally set the system off while trying to do something else.
@@brodiessirenproductions probably
I was beginning to wonder when we were gonna see a yellow 130.
And out of all places that has one, it’s Lawton. Pretty random
I didn't know Lawton had yellow '130s until about a month ago when I was looking at a siren map. I'd be so damn confused if a city does that. Well, idk I was recording in OKC like 3 years ago and they went off at like 11:50AM. It was weird. I like the fact that you did the phone vid. Didn't you do that in thr Elk City video of that 40V2T that failed? Nice video nevertheless.
Yeah, I was headed to Oklahoma City when I found this 130. And yeah, that was me. thanks!
@@brodiessirenproductions Np!
❤️great video
Thank you!!
that's something you don't see everyday.
This replace anything 😮
Nope, this is an original install.
@@brodiessirenproductions damn okay when did Romeovilles 130 get installed here😂
It's the famous 2001T from 10 years ago
Average Lawton.
That thing looks like shit lmfao
I think if they would’ve painted it just a bit better, it would look stunning. I like the color on it nonetheless.
@@brodiessirenproductions Yeah. I like the color, but it was done terribly
@@kansasclocksandsirens If you call that "terrible" then R.I.P to 90% of all siren refurbs
