There were interested men, but she made them behave and be polite , if they were serious it was with flowers and chocolates! Lol.

This made me tear up...for some reason. The raw emotion that Mr. Diamond is able to capture in his music and lyrics is legendary, and a truely amazing talent to have. He is one amazing singer...and at the risk of sounding old (I AM 46 so I remember his music well from my childhood in the 70s), he is one of the greatest singers of all time. :)

On a September Morning in 1980 they played this at my German radio station. The evening before we my later wife and me came close together and I knew I would see her next saturday. The feelings this song gave to me were undescribable. I was happy then, really god like happy. We married five years later and I have a daughter (she is 26 now) and two sons (24 and 23) but there was something wrong, something between us. We divorced in 2001. I now have heard Neil‘s great song for the first in full length. It was a terrible feeling but I didn‘t cry. I remembered what real happininess feels like and that hurted me very much though.
My grandma just passed suddenly on 9/23/2015. My family and I were grateful for every last breath... This song sums it up perfectly and will probably bring me to tears for the rest of my life, in a happy way and sad.
