I love how they gave a little hint of the end. In vault 4 Lucy tells of how she remembers being so young she thought the sun that was projected onto the wall of her vault was the real sun. Well, it was the real sun after all. She was just too young to remember it was in Shady Sands with her mom.
Also, the executive Bud Askins drove up in a tiny little car with a glass dome over the driver's seat. It was just to foreshadow his later fate of being a 'brain on a roomba'.
the black woman in the pre war is Betty the overseer of vault 33
They are not breeding them. They cryogenically froze them and are slowly releasing them whenever a new vault overseer is needed
those that played fallout 4 instantly knew that part was cryo pods, most other reactions that haven't played it come up with some weird conclusion like she did

Yea, when they figure it out season two will show cryo sleep is NOT the only game in town. Mr House is in a life pod driving all new vegas computers, Modaver is / was a synth, and Cooper's wife is in a dream pod and has been play patty cake with her boss
28:27 Lucy's mother probably was in Shady Sands when Hank nuked the city, she survived but instantly turned into a crippled feral ghoul because of being so close to the blast.
Remember when Betty said that she and Hank buried their(Lucy and Norm) mom...well in a manner of speaking she was telling the truth. Hank nuked Shady Sands and assumed that she was buried in the rubble..so from a certain point of view she was being honest ...they did indeed (in their minds) bury her

Not only Shady Sands is in the games, but also those big cooperations in the dark-room play a role in the game(s), and you can meet Mr. House (from Rob Co) in Fallout New Vegas
The cold fusion code was the release date of the original Fallout game. Fallout is now my favorite TV series adaptation from a video game. That honor used to go to The Last of Us. I am beyond excited for what Season 2 has waiting for us

Their reaction as "gamers" to this show has been an absolute disaster. The sheer amount of false assumptions, wrong conclusions and blatant lack of knowledge is a sight to behold.
I expect Lucy's mom was far enough away to survive the initial blast, but not far enough to escape the radiation surge, which would be how she became a ghoul.
All this guessing and speculation is severely steering you in the wrong direction.

Your dad didn't just kill you mom. . . He destroyed the only opportunity in hundreds of years for stability and peace. The one faction that might be considered. . .good. and he did it, for a dead company and world that can never realistically be. It's definitely unforgivable

Technically we don't know if Moldaver was frozen or survived by other means (e.g. like the Cabot family in Fallout 4)

I loved your reaction to this show! Been playing the games since Fallout 1 in `97 so I'm a huge fan of the franchise. What really helped this be such a faithful adaptation is the fact that Bethesda gave the makers of this show game assets to 3-D print.

Griffith Park and the Griffith Park Observatory are on a hill above Los Angeles. They appear in the video game Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, and in the beginning of the first Terminator movie, when Arnie gets clothes from some punks who were hanging around outside the Observatory after dark.

That's Fallout 4 storyline Vi... New Vegas starts differently and 3 starts in a vault just like this... they have already been working on the next season since this one finished sooo... this is set AFTER FO4... new story just like each game. Was great watching you guys reactions

Be Careful what you wish for.....Both Lucy and Maximus got what they wanted in the end ...Lucy found her dad and Maximus became a knight and both were sad and disappointed with the result because it was nothing like what they imagined. 😪

The cars from the game aren't real, unfortunately. But I'm sure car nerds are already hard at in the garage, trying to figure out that sliding car door, in their own hot rod.

And of course this show takes place 9yrs after fallout 4 story. Fallout 3 your a character is looking doe there dad. Then I don't know much about the fallout new vegas timeline.
what about moldaver the witch? How did she survive for 200 years without changing? particular FEV? cloning? cryogenics? cyborg? (I'll be back)... time traveler? (I hope not) or worse: Is she actually Cooper's time-traveling daughter? (I really hope not)
Maybe she's not the saint who did what she did due to force majeure and maybe she has a lot more to say about the destruction of Shady Sands and the ghoulization of Lucy's mother.
What if Moldaver had proposed a choice to Hank right before the destruction of Shady Sands? between Rose or their children?
If Lucy's mother is as loving as she's portrayed to be, she definitely wouldn't have wanted the raid on Vault 33, so maybe Moldaver took her pip boy by force

The people in vault 31 are in cryogenic stasis, just like in vault 111 in Fallout 4, they're all pre war vault tech junior executives and Bud had his brain put in that robot and he takes them out of cryogenic stasis as needed.

One of the big questions (at least to me) was what happened to Cooper's daughter from episode 1? I thought for sure that was going to be answered in the Finale. Just one more great reason to watch Season 2 when it comes out next week! (OK, wishful thinking).
Each game in the series has had an essential unique story not directly related to the other games. They are all set at different points in the timeline and set in different locations. The show is also a separate story. The biggest difference is that the games allow you to make choices that effect the story. For example you will always encounter various factions with differing ideologies. Everyone thinks they are the only ones with the right idea and they are invariably in conflict with each other as well as just trying to survive. So she is 100% correct that the show captured the vibe of a fallout game while still being a great show that doesn't require knowledge of any of the games to enjoy.

"why does he want to kill them all?" Blues question to the ghoul killing Brotherhood soldiers after watching them mow down a lot of unarmed people sheltering in the observatory and knowing they kill ghouls on sight, which is why Thadeus ran. Hate to break it to you Blue but just because Maximus is in the brotherhood, that does not make them the good guys, in fact they murder anyone in their way of seizing what they want. I was cheering the ghoul taking them out, it was more than justified.
Except Coop is no better than the Brotherhood. He's not above killing people(regardless if they're innocent or not), whenever it suits him.
@@dwnkaomwn3953 That is simply a whataboutism, it does not change the fact the brotherhood are evil and would kill Coop without a second thought or anyone they deem in their way. If you have a piece of tech they want they kill you for it. Sure Coop kills to but that has little to do with the point of the post. Coop being morally bad does not give the brotherhood a pass in anyway. Those brotherhood mowed down unarmed people, they killed everyone there, they deserved what they got.
She found the dad by being directed by the other people in the observatory to that area of the building. They had opened the gates to let her in so I'm sure they told here where to go to find the dad and Moldaver.

Its Griffith park observatory. Its where James Dean Rebel without a cause was film. Its in Los Angeles. I went there in the 90s and they said the seat James Dean sat in was in storage. The Observatory gets renovated every once in the while so no one can sit in. James Dean seat anymore.
Vault 31 is a *CRYOGENIC* vault, they froze them but kept them alive ;)
the end scene is..,New Vegas, Fallout New Vegas is IMHO the best "storyline" of the Fallout games :)
Lucy's mom was a ghoul because she was a "survivor" of shady sands that Lucy's father nuked. Ghouls are just rare mutated survivors of extreme radiation

the code Hank typed in was 10/10/97 which was the release date for Fallout 1! Also remember last episode when Lucy said "If my dad found out I destroyed an entire community just to save him, he'd be heartbroken." Then you learn what HE did to Shady Sands, and the whole world.... such a great show. I really enjoyed watching y'all react to it!
The city seen is New Vegas, which was after Fallout 3. It’s a good game to play.
I think Lucy’s brother will not follow Buds advice. I think he’ll hack the robobrain body somehow. I don’t think the Ghouls wife and child are in vault 31. She was upper management, not mid management like Hank or Betty.
I think the ghoul was in Bakersfield, (site of Necropolis vault in Fallout 1)
Finally I think there is an entity that controls minds to some extent, and they controlled the doctor and others like Dane, possibly the leader of BOS.
Not sure where you are getting the mind control theory from. Nothing any of those characters did seemed to imply mind control.
@@ryanowens7085 it’s a wild theory based on Fallout 1 storyline. But how did Doctor Wilzig know her name, and other data. He may have inside knowledge from the Enclave, but he seemed to get more knowledge as he went. His comments at the fire before he left were accurate too. His Plan D exit was interesting.
@@corpusD He knows about Vault 33 and who Lucy is because he works with Moldaver and either gathered that information from the Enclave for her or learned the information from Moldaver (who could have learned it from various sources). Alternatively, Wilzig talks like he was alive before the war (e.g., at the campfire and at the satellite when he is dying). He could have been involved with designing some of the vaults or even the cyanide tablet. No need for mind reading or control.

Very good game adaptations! I love playing F4;F76 good stories! But i hate the Vault-Tech human research! New Vegas in the end right? I don't play F1-3;NV Win10 not working this game. In game 2077 but real world when?
Like it or not the tv series is canon to the whole Fallout IP. You have to treat the show like a very long cutscene between FO4 and Bethesda's next Fallout release. Be prepared for "lore drift"

They did really well in replicating the falloyut world. Sadly they didn't replicate the core theme of fallout in this tho. Fallout never answered teh question who dropped the first nuclear bomb. The fundamental thing for the games was that war never changes and the games were anti war in the messages. The TV show didn't follow that. Instead the TV show is anti capitalism/corporation. The war isn't what the tv show critises but greed and corporations. The war didn't cause the nuclear war in the tv show, not nation states or generals, but greedy corporations. Its implicated that the war would have ended peacefully without the greed and big corporations.
It’s not anti-capitalism because what they (and seemingly everyone) keeps saying capitalism is, is wrong. Mega corporations colluding with government to stifle open competition is NOT capitalism. It’s the economic side of facism.
Also, although I don’t mind the idea of Vault Tech dropping the bombs, all we really know is that they would do it. China could still have beaten them to it. Realistically, though, since game companies are afraid to upset the CCCP, I suppose they will not go that route.
