    Beautiful bow! I have made a couple from saplings that were splendid bows. I seem to get lower than my desired weight on the saplings though. My mistake. I need to get perfect tiller a high poundage the even everything down I guess. The crown looks cool.

      This one is also ending up around 41 pounds, but it performs Well for a selfbow

    Thank you ! It's very nice to watch the video. Beautiful weather, lots of greenery and flowers, singing birds and our favorite archery.

    I like shooting my bows. Don't think I would have the patience to make one from scratch. Can't wait to see that one taken to the woods for a hunt!

    Very cool Peter. Sometimes, for the tillering process, it helps to see the strung bow against a patterned background (such as a stripped or squared background). Enjoy the bow. Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks! Yes I know. I do draw it on a primitiv tiller tree and look at it from some meters away. No pulley though. I like to eyeball everything, like back in the day😃

    Congrats! Hope you do a "shooting" vid using this bent stick. If find hand shock is more than desired, consider narrowing tips more thereby reducing mass out there.

    Man that is a great bow I think that is one of the best skills a person can have I live in England and it really upsets me that we can't hunt with a bow here in the UK but I still enjoy shooting a bow I think I might have a go at making one thanks for sharing this video with us all nice one man 👍 ✌

      @@peterjuulsgaard I would be amazed if England let us bow hunt are country is so woke are government has a very negative view on hunting it's more interested in taking away are freedom and injecting poison in to us in the name of public health but I do alot of slingshot hunting got some excellent slingshot darts but technically not aloud to hunt with them but you konw how it is out hunting 😉👍

    Awesome video as usual, Peter. What kind of wood is the sapling? Is it hazelnut?

      Thanks for watching! Well I dont have that bow anymore. I sold it😀 but I didn’t sell it because I didn’t like it. I just had too many bows. It is really shooting well and have no handshock. Perfect for treestands and blinds. Maybe you can search on KB II or the KBX which are the same in general 😊

    I enjoy your videos and have made a few bows myself. I was wondering what you would estimate the poundage to be on this bow.

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  ปีที่แล้ว

      I scaled it to 41,5 pounds at my drawlenght at 27 inches. It actually performing pretty well for that poundage. The arrow is around 490 grain
