@WeekendShedHead 😁 Thanks mate. It was actually quite fun to do, and a bit of an eye opener with how good it is with aerosols. Guess I had better start making something just so I can use it properly 😁. Thanks for watching Rob. Cheers 😁👍

Well done Frank. I've worn different types of masks for 100's of hours, and this one looks pretty promising. I bet that material will love dust, but thats why we have compressed air and vacuums. I prefer to store my masks in a sealed plastic container instead of a zipper bag, but it's good that it comes with a bag. I think you did as good a test as can be done. 👍👍

Amazing review video! Sid was a big help-thanks to Sid’s mastermind, Frank, for bringing Sid to life in such a creative way. 👏
A good seal is crucial for effective protection. Our dust masks are CE FFP2 safety certified. The difference in the test results comes from the mask’s seal. Sid’s mask wasn’t snug, and the head strap was a bit loose, creating a gap. Sanding particles are larger and settle quickly, making them more likely to enter the gap, while spray particles are lighter and stay airborne longer, making them less likely to enter the gap between the face and the mask. 🛠

Hi Frank, that is a good dust mask, can believe how low the readings were and the good thing is it does not mist up your glasses, not like in the covid era, wearing a face mask and can't see what your doing. If this mask is good enough for Sid it's good for every body else. As always a great video, catch you soon Take care mate

😁 Thanks Shaun. The sanding results would have been better but I didn't quite fit it 100% (not tight enough). I may do a re-test. I'm very impressed though with this mask. SID sends his regards 😆. Take care mate 😁👍

Hi Frank. I've used this mask for last couple of month's in my garage workshop (fitting out the garage with insulation and boarding to make a workshop!) and can confirm it does fit us "bearded wonders" very well lol. Seriously though, it's probably the most comfortable mask I've ever worn and I wouldn't go back to the type of standard filter masks you showed at the beginning of the vid. Great vid.

😁 Thanks Gaz. I am looking forward to using this mask in anger. From what I've experienced so far (and what SID said) it's going to be great. Thanks for the beard conformation. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

Thank you Frank, I currently use a trend stealth mask and although it works it is quite a chunk to have hanging off your face for any length of time, also my glasses steam up and I get a sweaty face. This does look like something that might be a little more comfortable. Interesting video. My regards to Sid :-)

😁 Thanks Steve. Yep, my previous masks were good... but a bit of a lump after a couple of hours. But these ones are super comfy. Looking forward to doing some sanding (now that's quite a statement 😆😆). Thanks for watching 😁👍

Very interesting videos. Would be good to test different masks too see which one is best.
I was actually offered one of these but declined.

@GrumpysWorkshop4 😁 Hi Dave. It is a surprisingly good mask. I could test all of my other masks, but I don't think that would really be a fair comparison. My old ones are "a bit past it" now 🤣. But I'm sure I will use SID for some other testing 😁. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍

@@frankslittleworkshop I am being careful here Frank as I don't want to take away from the effort and good work you did. As your test showed, anything above '0' is certainly not the 99%+ claimed on the box. These masks have failed OSHA and Australian Standards tests multiple times, along with the RZ masks they are copying. Yes, they are more comfortable and better than not wearing one, but while the *filters* provide 99% of dust the *mask* does not. The fabric, seal and as you found issues around lining the filter up with the valves all contribute to leakage, which means they are ineffective. I would NOT recommend trusting one of these for harmful things like solvent spraying, and if you are in sawdust for 8 hours a day... you are much better off with a proper 3M or similar style silicone mask that seals correctly. However, for bearded folks and folks who would not wear a mask for whatever reason, they are better than nothing :)

@GrumpysWorkshop4 😁 Thanks Dave. I don't think it would be a fair test if I compared it to my old masks... they are a bit past their sell by date. But if I get another one I may have a go. But this mask looks like its going to be just perfect for the workshop 😁. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍

@FixitFingers 🤔 Wow, thanks for the background info James. I think I will look in to this a bit more 🤔. I think the main benefit is that it is easy to wear so I'm probebly more likely to pop it on rather than just hold my breath when sanding... then take a big lung full as soon as I stop the sander (you know how it easily happens). I think I may do some more tests as soon as I get some time in the workshop. Thanks again for the info and thanks for watching 😁 👍
