welp here's another gameplay of a Thomas PC game this time it's the UK version of Building the new line sadly not really a full gameplay as i couldn't do everything that happens in the game and i skipped the first track set you could build cause i felt like that wasn't needed but still enjoy!

I used to play this game in the early 2000s when I was a kid. The music, the sound effects, the narration... this brought back so many good memories

Total nostalgia trip--but for different reasons. I did all the artwork for this game back in 2002--games were made so differently back then. lol I'd never heard the later-added UK V.O.--interesting! Fun reading how many people remember this game so fondly from their childhood! :)

Bill and Ben's theme on pick an Engine, Places and Track layout,
The Fat Controller's theme on Build a new Line,
Toby's theme at the Farm,
Trever's theme at the Dock,
Donald and Douglas' theme at the Quarry,
Bertie's theme on clean and repair the Engines,
and Henry and Harold's theme on the Grand Opening.
My favourite Thomas the Tank Engine game of all time!. The music, the sound effects... i'm nearly crying how much nostalgia i'm feeling. I would play this one for hours, messing around with EVERY combination of different tracks & accessories. Fixing decorating the engines at the end was always my favourite part.

OMG, I remember buying this PC game at PC World in Boston with my nan and grandad when I was 8 years old! :O
This would have blown my FREAKING MIND as a kid!
I used to play this so much back in the day.
I had this game when I was a kid it was one of my favourite games and the music used during Edward is the Scottish tune that’s used when Donald and Douglas
I've always wondered why Henry was not in this game, when I was a little kid.
But his theme is there in the game though.....

Always wonder what went wrong with The Flying Kipper theme (TM_DecBkg), it's clearly glitched 5 seconds into the audio track.
I love this game, I wish I could find it.
Wish I had this game, it looks awesome. It is almost like a mini version of MTS or Trainz.

His noise and the troublesome truck problem trigger scared me as younging

Building The New Line was one of the only Thomas And Friends PC Games i played along with Trouble On The Tracks

Rusty: okay so the little diesel himself would be a player character and skarloey has that crate fall off his truck
Trevor: he would be pulling the cart where the hay bales fell off
Mavis: in the quarry we'd be needing her help to net sling the oil drums
Kevin (okay so sometimes I'd take the CGI methods and have him knock over those crates at the docks)
Flynn: we'd have him make sure the slippery tracks cleaned up with hise
Terrence: we'd need his help to remove the cows on the line
Harvey: we will need his help to get back on the tracks, so it’s his hook to get to the harness
For broken tracks however he will then need to drag them out
Troublesome trucks: okay so the engines would carry rolling stock they most like so they hide in the shed
i play this but when i complete a mission it says an error ocurred

*reads description* Wrong. You didn't choose the first track set because it's boring.
There's no rules to this game you can just hit the go button without testing the line, go the grand opening without cleaning and repairing the engine and you don't even have to place any decorations. This is actually my least favorite Thomas PC game. As nostalgic as it is to many people you got to admit the Minds Eye Productions games are much better than the Stunt Puppy Entertainment games. The only thing I really enjoyed from this game was hearing clean versions of Donald and Douglas' theme (Minus a few sounds) Bill and Ben's never heard before alternate theme and Michael Angelis' voice. Aside from that it's pretty crappy IMO. Trouble On The Tracks and Railway Adventures are much better.
I have the box for the CD of this game but not the game itself.
